[When they first met back in New Bark Town and met, Aqua thought that a prince who's hobby was fishing was interesting, if only because most of the princes she's met had other priorities.

But here he was, and here he's been for hours. As much as Aqua wants to keep going, she doesn't quite have the heart to tell him to pack up all his equipment. They probably could afford a day of rest after all. Journeying around this land by foot weeks a time was a lot more exhausting than she would have thought.

So she's coming up beside him, small bag of berries in hand and her Popplio coming up beside her. She's no Ignis and needs to teach herself how to cook with these things, but at least it's something for everyone.]

You know, if you catch anyone Pokemon, there's not going to be anymore fish left in the river.

[Noctis glanced up at Aqua, lips twitching into the faintest of grins.]

I'm not that good. Yet.

[He'd grown comfortable with her company, comfortable enough that he tended to lighten up around her like he would have his traveling companions from home.

Reeling in the line, Noctis stole one of the berries Aqua had brought with her and placed it on his hook before casting again.]

Find anything interesting?

[Next to him, his Munchlax stirred and sat herself up, yawning then peering over at the Popplio, a "Muncha-munch!" getting said in greeting.]

If you keep at it, you will be. Remember, practice makes perfect.

[Although she hardly thinks a hobby like this can be perfected. But, that's okay. It's been a while since she felt a bit more at ease in another person's company, especially when they started out as complete strangers. It's nice. Relaxing.

Although she does look a little exasperated when he grabs a berry for the line. That's not what they're meant for!]

Just some berries; we needed to save some for the route ahead. But we battled a Heracross, and some trouble-making monkeys.

[Who had eyes for shiny things. Seriously, those Aipoms looked at her pauldrons with such desire she thought they were going to be followed. If she had her Keyblade, it wouldn't be such an issue.

Popplio turns to her companion and raises an arm in greeting, giving a cheery call out to her travelling friend. Have you been sleeping all this time? There's training to do!]

Yeah, yeah, I know.

[Sometimes Aqua remembered him of a strange mix of Gladio and Ignis with her parental tendencies. It wasn't a bad thing but it did make his heart ache a little bit for home. Not that he was going to tell her that..at least not yet. He was definitely more comfortable with her but there was still things that he had trouble talking about even to the people he'd known for a long time.

He shoots her a playful grin at the exasperated look over the berry and he makes a mental note to have Bean try and find some more when they get on the road again]

You guys are making good progress, huh? [Says the guy that barely battles things or trains his Munchlax in general.

Bean lifts a paw to wave back, burbling happily. Of course she was sleeping! The sun's out and it was perfect for a nap!]

[And sometimes, Noctis reminded her of her friends from back home and the way things used to be between them. Terra and his moments of seriousness (although Noct takes her advice far better than he did), and Ventus and his almost daydreaming-like, carefree demeanor. Not that she'd mention it to him, but it's probably why they get along fairly well.

EXCEPT for his whole vegetable and healthy foods thing he has. Sure the berries here didn't have the same tastes as the ones they had back home, but would it kill him to have a few? Sheesh.

He only gets a frown for his grin.]

This world is practically dedicated to these creatures. I've never seen or heard of anything like it. [She leans forward, resting her arms on her knees.] I suppose until we find a way back, it's best to embrace it. You and Bean could do with some training too.

[Because she sees how much you slack off, slacker.

Shimmer just trills right back, gently mentioning how much she should be training instead. And to make a point, she playfully launches a few gentle bubbles Bean's way. Lets see you handle that!]

Everything really does revolve around them. It's kind of neat, actually. [As someone that had a fondness for animals, Noctis honestly kind of loved this place.

Except for the whole training thing. He was never going to get away from training was he?

He gave Aqua an exasperated look, reeling his line in so he could toss it out again for another try.][Said Munchlax is totally capable of taking on those bubbles just you watch!

If taking them on means flopping down onto the ground to avoid them entirely, laying spread eagle like the lazy little bum she is.]
