1. New Bark Town

Catrina woke up not in her room surrounded by her horrendous familiars, but to some bedroom she had never seen before, a weirdo human claiming to be her mother (Mom had to step up her game after a certain neon plague doctor gave her the escape :x), and the worst thing ever, SHE BECAME WARM BLOODED! Looking into the conveniently placed mirror, Catrina would come to have a bigger shock..SHE WAS A HUMAN! Sure her hair stayed the same midnight blue color it had been before along with her ocean blue eyes, but she was no longer blue, she was in fact a human with a relatively good beach tan. Downside, she didn't get the height boost from becoming human, still being under five feet in height and no more hand tail! Oh Catrina was feeling irritated and mad as a wasp at this one. What felt like an eternity later, Catrina was finally tossed into the big wide world of Pokemon after getting her starter, the rundown, and then learning she cannot in fact make Mom sound like a trombone in this world. Geeze guys, check out the weird lady in a black and orange dress straight from Halloween Express chewing on the PokeGear..I don’t think she knows it's not a chew…never mind I think its just her way of dealing with stress...

2. Off to Violet City with This Pumpkin Spiced Weirdo!

Catrina had heard about Violet City and decided it’d be a wise decision to set sail for there! Violet City, I am so sorry you’re about to be a lot more chaotic than normal as Catrina smooshes her face up against the tea shop windows checking out the Sinistea hanging around.

“These are ghosts!? I NEED THEM IN THE POKEBALL NOW!!”

Suddenly Beetlejuice is right next to Catrina with his hands cupped around his eyes to peer inside the little shop.

"I see you're a fellow supernatural enthusiast. Here's a tip, use a dark-type or they're gonna hand your ass to you."

"Fuck yeah, they're the best Pokemon ever!" Cat goes to look over to her fellow undead pocket monster fan to meet Beetlejuice.

It takes Catrina a moment before realizing that yep, she doesn't have a dark type, "Damn, I only have Gytrash, my Hisuian Zorua and Smokey, my Litwick. Though, does having dark humor count for a dark type?"

"You could still use your Litwick, but you gotta be quick." Beetlejuice advises. Normally he's not so helpful, but gosh darn it, sometimes a guy feels charitable. Plus this woman is into ghosts and therefore might be into him.

A ghoul's gotta try.

"Good point, but I heard that Jack guy landed flat on his ass and burnt it when trying to be quick with a candle stick once." Catrina joked a bit before bringing out Smokey!

Smokey is clearly a gnarly lady and is eager to get her little waxy hands dirty in getting that Sinistea for Catrina. I'd be careful though Beetlejuice, Catrina might try and catch you in the Pokeball too if she knows you're a ghost too.

Beetlejuice has a good chuckle at that. This girl's quick.

When the Litwick comes out, Beetlejuice gives her an appraising look. He wonders if she was part of that group that was hanging around when he and Loop caught their Shuppets. That gaggle of ghosts didn't play around--or rather, they DID play and they played hard.

"Knock 'em dead!"

Being a bard on the road, Catrina learned a thing or two on having a quick wit on short notice as she sends the little violence happy Litwick into the tea shop to fight it out with the Sinistea!

"That's the spirit! Come on Smokey, use ember!" Catrina ordered as Smokey gladly does just that...the fight has commenced!

Chris is exploring the area when they see the odd sight of someone who clearly doesn't know what season it is chewing on their...whatchamacallit. They would walk the other way, but maybe this person knows something they don't?

"Iiiiii don't think that's food..."Chris says hesitantly.

Catrina looks up at Chris, still getting used to this whole being human deal as she stops (for now) chewing on that poor defenseless PokeGear that is sporting some pretty good teeth dents from it.

"That's just how I cope! I woke up with five digit hands today with some weird human claiming to be my Mom!" Catrina is certainly having a time with this...I think some of the paint from the PokeGear is caught in her teeth though...

"Yeeeah, that lady was weird, huh?" Chris said. Their brand new Shroodle sitting on their shoulder nods. "So, ya weren't human before comin' here?"

Chris makes a mental note about that. They weren't necessarily upset about showing up in a new world, but it is definitely a bit confusing. They weren't sure how they felt about this oddball, but this was the first person who was also taken that they ran into. And, well, beggars can't be choosers.

"The name's Chris by the way."

"Right!? I think the human is feral or something!" Catrina you are the last person to make that comment about being feral, "I used to be ocean blue and had a hand tail before all this human business came along!"

Yeah...she certainly wasn't a human beforehand. Catrina was having a bit of a weird reaction to suddenly being a human being along with the dread suddenly having to be warm blooded (cold blooded be wild). However, Catrina is absolutely going to be accepting Chris as her first friend in this new world.

"I'm Catrina Calavera, it's great to meet yah Chris!"

Chris laughs, "Yeah, I bet she is!"

"Nice ta meet cha, Cat. Hope we can figure out what's going on soon, yeah?" They grin. A thought seems to come to them and they bounce on their toes. "You got a creature too, right? Mine is this little guy!" They point to the Shroodle on their shoulder," What did you get?"

Catrina laughs along, then again, this whole situation is very surreal to this gremlin, "I wouldn't be surprised if she's done this before to others."

After hearing that, Catrina get the Pokeball out and brings out her absolute questionable garbage monster of greasiness, Gyrtrash the Hisuian Zorua, "This is my gremlin, Gytrash Gurt-Dog. I think that weird human found this little guy dumpster diving before handing him over to me. Upside, he'll be a hard one to grip during battles."

"Well, if she's done it to you and me, she probably has done it to other people. Concerning."

"He's kinda cute? In a weird, gremlin-y sorta way," Chris responds, tilting their head at the Pokemon. Their Shroodle squeaks indignantly. "Not as cute as you though, Doodle."

"Damn, think the police are investigating her then? I mean this should count for abduction or something!" Catrina was ready to not have this weird claiming to be Mom anywhere near her.

Gytrash is bordering that ugly sort of cute balance, kinda like a pug as the Danny DeVito's Garbage Man Pokemon snorts right at Doodle.

"Right? I'm gonna see if I can get this guy to the groomers or something though." Catrina admitted, I mean who wouldn't agree that Zorua is kinda gross.

"I don't know. Seems like everyone here's pretty used to her," Chris replied, shrugging their shoulders. It's a weird situation, but Chris has a feeling that that Mom isn't doing the abducting.

"It's probably a good idea. He does look like he could use it," They chuckle, glad to have not been the one to bring it up. Doodle scrunches up its face and tucks closer to Chris' neck.

"Weird, maybe she's like the neighborhood mascot or something?" Catrina shrugs too, still not feeling any empathy for who is likely an accomplice to kidnapping an amphibian opera diva.

Gytrash makes a really guttural hissing sound at the mention of the groomers. Catrina goes to pick up her grody garbage lord of a Pokemon (She's going to be needing a bath after handling Gytrash) as she looks over to Chris.

"Yeah..maybe a muzzle so he doesn't like try and take a bite out of the groomer holy shit."

"Maaaybe,"Chris really isn't sure," But, whatever, we're here, right? We should make the most of it!"

Both Chris and Doodle flinch away at the hissing.

"Yeah, a muzzle may be best..."

"True, best to just improvise what we got here, like on the stage." Catrina agreed, yep, time to go back to her original barding ways.

Catrina looks at her horrific little Danny DeVito Pokemon, clearly Gytrash was likely still a tad feral like Catrina herself.

"Damn..yeah back into the PokeBall with you my little Garbage Warlord."
