Sprout Tower! :D

[gimmeeyeballs]

[A midnight blue hair woman dressed as though it was Halloween time with a look that read 'This is the greasy possum lady your parents warned about' had heard stuff about Sprout Tower, more importantly, it had the ever desired Ghost Type Pokemon she took a shine to. Unfortunately, the weirdo had over heard Odile talking to her Hisuian Sneasel.]

Eh? Seriously? Let 'em climb the tower, you only live once. [Catrina eyes the tower a bit as she grins] Plus, this place is loaded with ghosts, who doesn't love that?

[studyologies]

What? That's a horrible reason to let him climb the tower. Only living once is a reason not to throw oneself recklessly into danger.

[She sighs and adjusts her glasses with her index finger, but okay, she's a bit curious now...]

Ghosts aren't relevent to any of my protests, nor any of his reasons.

[The Sneasel shrugs. He can't deny that one! Ghost types are just a pain, his Fighting type attacks can't hit 'em! It's no fair and no fun!]

But.. Do you mean there are Ghost type Pokemon inside, or is this place actually supposed to be haunted by spirits?

[gimmeeyeballs]

That's no fun! Let him climb, it's in his nature to do so clearly.

[Catrina was gonna be the bad influence there as she gave advocation for the Hisuian Sneasel to climb the tower. The blue haired sideshow then gave a calculated pause for a bit though about ghosts in the tower before being a little smartie pants by geuss-amating]

A little bit of A and a little bit of B I suppose, makes life more interesting that way. Plus, haunted places are clearly the superior locations to visit. Wanna come along in with me?

[Sure Cat, sure that'll definitely win anyone over in wanting to come into a haunted tower that's seen better days.]

[There's... So much she could say. Odile knows she should probably simply say "no" and leave it there. She doesn't want to even go on the first floor of this quaking tower, and she'd hate to get dragged into going higher.

Besides, the last thing her partner needs is a bad influence. He's trouble enough already.

But... some things are harder to let be than others.]

You suppose, because it makes life more interesting? What do you mean, you must either know or not.

[gimmeeyeballs]

[oh there's what Catrina is looking for as she simply just gives that joker looking grin of hers.]

Now where is the fun in just telling you? There's only one way to find out, you gotta go inside first and see for yourself.

[Catrina is gonna poke and prod a bit to see if she can get Odile to go into the ramshackle tower with the Schrodinger's Haunting lingering about like the smell of burnt toast.]

Come on, where's your sense of adventure? Don't you wanna find out?

[She is curious, even if ghosts aren't particularly interesting to her... But there are other ways to get that information, she doesn't need to go inside to learn.

Though, this would be firsthand knowledge. She'll have the actual experience.

Odile's expression does not soften, even as she relents:] Only the first floor for me and my companion.

[She side-eyes her Sneasel.]

Only. The first.

[Sneasel doesn't seem upset, all he does is stick his tongue out as he clicks his claws together. He's used to his trainer being a grump. It's funny, really!]

[gimmeeyeballs]

[This was exactly what Catrina was aiming for as she goes to motion for Odile to follow the horrible blue gremlin woman into the tower. Sure, Catrina didn't have sound defect or her usual little bag of tricks on hand, but being a bard for so long, Cat learned a thing or two on being persuasive as possible to a hard crowd.]

See? Now that's the spirit, c'mon, the ghosts aren't gonna wait for us.

[Catrina even holds the door open to Odile to go in first, how weirdly polite of her...yeah she's gonna let the Sneasel do what he wants with the climbing bit.]

[studyologies]

I'm not sure what else ghosts would have to do, but wait.

[Odile has a wry smile as she says this, heading inside. Was that, possibly, a joke? Some humor? Sneasel is so pleased by this that he follows her in without giving climbing much thought. Once inside, Odile looks back at Catrina.]

I'm Odile, by the way, and this is Zel.

[gimmeeyeballs]

Well, they'd waltz to the Danse Macabre if they have nothing else to do.

[Catrina...how the heck did you even know that one...Catrina you answer this once...CATRINA!]

[Catrina goes to follow Odile and Zen inside as she brings out her horrible starter, a Hisuian Zorua that looks incredibly greasy, both in the personality and literal sense.]

Like Swan lake? Nice. I'm Catrina and this booger is Gytrash.

[studyologies]

They'd... waltz? Hm. [Odile turns around and regards Catrina and her less-than-charming-looking Pokemon.] You certainly say some odd things. Are you foreign to this place, as well?

[gimmeeyeballs]

Weird, right? You'd think they'd be cursing and hexing folks, but nah, they just wanna waltz and do fancy crap. [Catrina smirks a bit as she checks out the insides of the Sprout Tower as her grody awful undead fox monster sniffs at Odile.] Yeah, fresh from the Brilliant Blue River where I originally came from. What about you?

[studyologies]

[Hm. Catrina could just be a bit off, it certainly feels that way... But she's speaking with enough confidence that Odile has to ask, all while keeping an eye on the Zorua:] Do you really know all this, about ghosts? Are they common where you're from?

[gimmeeyeballs]

[Catrina actually was a bit caught off guard, not in the 'oh no she knows I'm BSing', but in the 'Seriously, you folks don't have necromancers?' kind of way. There's a bit of a snort laugh from the Necromantic Bard as she explains]

I'm an in-training necromancer with a Lich King for a college professor along with being from a pretty notable necromancy family where I came from. So hell yeah, ghosts are pretty common and easily the best damn things ever.

[Yeah that Hisuian Zorua is still sniffing at Odile...I think that awful thing is gonna start begging for treats next.]

[studyologies]

[...That. Is not information Odile was expecting. Though maybe not for the reasons one might think.]

And what exactly is necromancy?

[She is used to a very specific, narrow magic system. It doesn't cover raising the dead like that!]

[The teaching hat is on now for Catrina as the worst thing ever to learn happened, necromancy isn't a thing where Odile came from!? The pure horror of it all, time to get Odile in on the fun of necromancy!]

The best form of magic ever! You can like raise the dead, summon demons, make bone clay familiars that smell like dead fish, and if you have bard as an occupation, you can make the undead dance along! Plus, there's that really badass bonus of seeing the dead and other unseen horrors beyond the veil, nice folks they are, but they cheat at poker too much.

[Yep..that explains why Catrina likes Ghost-types so much, it's close to what she had back home minus the Lich King Professor thankfully.]

No kind of Craft that does that.

[Odile frowns thoughtfully. That magic sounds ethically questionable, at best, but parts of it are far too interesting to leave at that explanation.

Especially sincs she can only surmise that Catrina is as without her magic as she is. Any questions of ethics aren't in the here and now. Questions of learning, however, are.]

It sounds like a powerful practice. Is it difficult to learn? I imagine if raising the dead were easy, that would cause problems.

Well that sucks ass.

[Catrina pouted that her pretty much unethical form of magic didn't exist there. It had been a rude awakening for Catrina to learn not only did she have no necromancy abilities here, but she can no longer use sound defect on others as she pleases.]

[However, Catrina is most certainly going to take full advantage of convincing Odile the wonders of the highly questionable practice.]

Yeah it's difficult, we have like a graduation rate of twenty percent after final examination is concluded. Sometimes you can get a job at the local Necromancy Hut for speedy resurrection or if you're like my family, continue the family craft for grants from the monarchy.
