[ No sooner than arriving in Ecruteak is she met with an exploding trash bin.

That... feels like it's something she shouldn't be so blase about, but at this point between this world and her own it feels like it should've happened two towns prior. Chris has taken it upon himself to heal his pokemon and then crash, but she's not quite tired yet and had told him she'll do a bit of exploring and return with food for them. The plan was to let him get in a few hours of shut eye then wake him (even though he'd told her to wake him the moment she returns), but it seems Ecruteak has other plans for her.

Catching the display before her, she crosses the distance to address the situation. Hand on hip and Eevee on her shoulder like a small and only slightly effective scarf, it surveys the scene with an inquisitive gaze but trusts its trainer to make a good call. If Jill's demeanor had been less calm it might be more alert than just having perked ears. ]

Exactly how many garbage cans do you have to blow-up to be good at it?

[It could have been a far worse greeting, Jill. At least the vulpix hadn't accidentally harmed a certain pokemon that will not be named.

The Meowth, at the appearance of Jill and her Eevee, skids to a halt, puffing up a bit as it hisses around the Pokegear in it's mouth.

Cissnei stops a few feet behind it with Reno at her side, offering the other woman a small smile.]

This would be number three and he hasn't missed his mark yet. [The vulpix looked rather smug before it was focusing on the Meowth, puffing up a bit itself as it let out a low 'Vul-l-pix!' in warning.] It was an effective method of herding.

[ Frankly, so long as she's not getting a face full of Flamethrower? She's in a pretty upbeat mood when it comes to encountering a fiery pokemon like Vulpix.

The pausing pokemon catches her eye and she's not sure whether she should make a move or not. It might be a stray, but it could just as easily belong to this woman and she'd rather not give someone else's pokemon a headbutt without permission. ]

You know, I get the feeling I might want to skip town soon if you're planning on a number four. [ Flaming garbage isn't exactly her favorite smell, but the continuation of her words leads Jill on. ] Need a hand? Or should I say paw?

[ She borderline laughs at her bad joke, the Eevee on her shoulder flicking an ear as it perks up, seemingly ready to jump to the ground at a moment's notice. Between two people and two pokemon, she'd figure that the Meowth might be cornered. A Quick Attack and Take Down should do the trick, if not another huff of flames... ]

We've been careful not to set anything outside of garbage or anyone on fire. [Cissnei can't help but grin a bit.] It could be a lot worse.

[Her Vulpix inches closer to the Meowth who hisses and backs up only to stop when it realizes that it's getting closer to Jill. It looks to be at a loss as to what it should do, peering up at the buildings to see if there's anything it can climb.

Something they can't let happen or else there's no getting Cissnei's gear back.]

A hand and a paw would be appreciated. I have a feeling it'd be a little difficult to get my hands on a new 'gear.

You know, I can't help but wonder if that was intentional phrasing, there. [ It's her kind of joke, though. It garners a smile from Jill, lacking any uncertainty and now brighter -- almost goofy, even. ] Could be, but I get the feeling this brat's part of the borderline lot.

[ Somehow, she's found herself using the word "brat" a lot when describing certain pokemon. They're clearly not nasty or malicious, but some of them aren't exactly the peach that the now-alert pokemon traveling with her seems to be. Stufful had broken Chris' finger and been aloof despite seemingly liking him and this one... well, who knows what the thing was interested in.

She nearly starts laughing before she speaks, the corny levels of the oncoming joke too much even for her. ]

Well, you know what they say about curiosity and cats. [ She chuckles as she nudges her Eevee to the ground, already working in formation with Cissnei's Vulpix to make sure the opposite side is covered and blocked. Cissnei and Jill clearly have the other angles covered, unless it manages otherwise. ] Eevee, be careful not to damage what Meowth's taken; when you see an opening use Quick Attack!

[ It seems to take note of what Jill says, though it starts by also, apparently, trying to reason with the Meowth. Jill has the feeling that Cissnei and her foxy friend have already attempted that, though, at least from how Eevee seems to be trying to box it in. She can appreciate that it is trying to force it to give up rather than straight out attack, though. What a good boy! ]
