[Aerith and her Flabébé look down at the fluffy fox as it starts to romp around them and the girl smiles as she bends over to pet it.]

Hey there. Do you have a trainer or are you wild?

[She turns her head to the side when the sound of leaves rustling finally reaches her. A group of flower-like creatures are slowly approaching from the patch of greenery.]

Bellossom! Bell-bell-bellossom!

[The Vulpix twilled merrily at Aerith, rubbing against her hand as his tail swayed about. The mention of his trainer has him chirping and turning to peer at Cissnei in a rather proud manner.

Look! He made a friend!

The Bellosssoms quickly distract him, just like they had Aerith, and that gives Cissnei a moment to pull herself together before quietly approaching.]

He's mine. They aren't, though.

[Her hand pauses on the Vulpix as the Bellossoms come out in such a large number.]

Oh, I... guess that answers what those leaves are. I didn't expect there to be so many.

[Not that she's worried, or anything. Sure, she knows that wild Pokémon attack people, especially in the grass, but they look nice.

So, she turns her attention to the other woman and holds out the hand she used to pet the Vulpix as she stands.]

Sorry about that. I didn't expect to attract so much attention. I'm Aerith.

FLA-Bébé!

[She laughs as the Flabébé comes to stand right in front of her, appearing indignant at being ignored.]

Sorry, sorry. And this is my Flabébé, Ifalna.

[Cissnei smiles, though for a split second there's something almost bittersweet about the look before she's carefully tucked those emotions away. She takes the offered hand, giving it a gentle shake.]

Cissnei. It's a pleasure to meet you, Aerith.

[Letting go over the other's hand, the Turk laughs softly at how indignant the small little flower being seems.]

And you, Ifalna. [She nods to her Vulpix who is peering curiously at the approaching Bellossoms.] That's Reno.

[At the all-too familiar name, Aerith gasps and looks over her companion with a hard glare.]

Are any of the others here? Capturing me is pointless.

[An expected reaction.

Cissnei takes it in stride, head tilting.]

I'm not here to capture you. And no one else is here. Even if they were I wouldn't tell them where you were.,

[Aerith tries to relax, half-pleased to find that this Turk is at least able to see reason. Unlike the aforementioned coworker.

She's not Tseng, but that might be a good thing too.]

I'm inclined to believe you, I suppose. I just don't have a good record with Reno.

And hearing him call me "sis" was creepy.

[She considers leaving but something tugs at the back of her mind and she can't resist asking.]

Did you ever know a SOLDIER named Zack?

I don't think Reno has a very good track record with anyone.

[It's said sincerely and with a tiny bit of amusement as Cissnei kneels down now to scoop her Vulpix up.]

He called you 'sis'?"

[She really, really wondered how that man became a Turk sometimes.

Her posture changes when Zack is mentioned and for a brief second her expression falters, a sadness filling her eyes. It's gone in an instant though and Cissnei focuses her gaze on her Vulpix, rubbing his ears with one hand gently.]

I did, yes. He was a good friend of mine actually.

[Aerith can't help the smile that tugs at the corners of her mouth as Cissnei talks about Reno.]

I'm sure he has some good qualities. He wouldn't have made it into the Turks if he didn't. Tseng wouldn't put up with him otherwise.

[Because while Tseng was a rather patient man, he didn't put up with laziness or stupidity. And she'd known him since she was a young slip of a girl.]

I think Reno thought that calling me 'sis' made him more likeable, but when he showed up with footsoldiers in toe and swinging his shock stick around.... It just made him seem like the world's biggest creeper.

[And she spent the first seven years of her life surrounded by Hojo and his cohorts. She knows creeps.

She notices the way that Cissnei changes when she talks about Zack and it confirms what she's thought for a while now; what she felt on the day before she ran into Cloud.]

Then... I guess that means I owe you an apology. A friend of Zack's is someone I should at least be nice to when I see them. [Ifalna takes the opportunity to hop up in Cissnei and Reno's faces.] And she'd be mad at me if I was rude again.
