Well, I've read up on breeding Pokémon since I got here. I'm not sure what else I could call myself since I'm not concentrating on badge gathering.
As for the offer, I'd be interested in any and all of those species! Please keep me in mind if you have extra eggs!
[Because Pokémon are totally just like Materia... On the surface.]

I guess I'd consider myself a trainer even though I'm not too focused on it, either. I guess I'd probably settle into a different kind of occupation if the option was given.
I'll definitely keep you in mind, in that case! I'm hoping I don't get any surprises, but when you have as many pokemon as we do and leave them out of their balls any chance you get... I guess things are bound to happen.

And I've been told that I really don't look very scary, even when I try.
Well, I like that we don't have to really do anything that we don't want to while we explore. It doesn't make it okay that I'm not back on my world, but it helps me from being resentful. I guess. It's....complicated.
I don't really like to keep my Pokémon in their balls either, so I'm sure that I'll have problems later down the line myself. I hope not, but you never know, right?

Scary's about attitude, not appearance. Although looking that way can certainly help.
You put it into words I couldn't, I think. The best I can really do is that I'm not happy to be here but I'm not unhappy? I guess being here with my best friend and partner definitely helps remove any complications I might've had with my feelings.
Just don't get a giant one? My partner's got a tiny one now, but it turns into something seven feet tall that can crush people to death. Not quite sure how we're going to deal with that in the future, so I might ask around. Rather be asking for too much advice than come up foolish later.
So have you just got a gaggle of Oddish so far?

I come from a world where you can use magic, if you have the right items. I don't have any and I don't think they'd work even if I did.
I don't think I could look scary, even if I tried. I should probably just invest in a big scary Pokémon, like a Charizard.
I'm glad that your friend is here with you. I know that not everyone's that lucky, so that's something you can take comfort in, right?
I guess you'll be camping a lot when his Pokémon evolves if it doesn't like to stay in the balls. I hope you like lots of fresh air and this strange music that plays everywhere.
I'm not sure I'd call it a gaggle, and it's more than just Oddish, but... yes. I mean, besides the Flabébé I started off with. It's sort of like I'm leading around a plant entourage. As strange as that sounds. Are you sure I can't interest you in some?

Figure if your magic could be used as a weapon, you wouldn't be allowed it. Even my survival knife was taken from me when I came here.
Might be helpful! I had a brief encounter with one, but apparently Stoutland (and its pre-evolution? Is that the word?) Herdier are actually really good at keeping pokemon in line. My Eevee and Pachirisu absolutely loved the Stoutland we rode and it was a pretty pleasant pokemon. Although I guess there are personality differences in each type, it seems to be a trait in them?
Definitely. I was here for over a month before he showed up, so it was a bit of a pain to come get him. I'd made pretty quick progress in travel, so if I hadn't paid for that Stoutland to ride, it would've taken us both traveling about two weeks to meet up. Bit of a pain, but I know the routes a little better thanks to it!
I am trying my best to ignore the music. Haven't heard an explanation for it yet...
Ha, well, I'm at 4/6 out of my group and it's pretty hard to make sure they all are getting enough attention. I've never had pets before or any kind of friends in large groups that would demand my attention or help in training before so it's a huge adaption for me. Unfortunately my partner seems to have pokemon following him around, too, so he's in no place to take any off your hands. He literally found a pokemon in his backpack earlier and he hasn't set it down for a solid 10 hours...
Could try asking about other breeders? You might actually get some advice on handling larger groups from them or maybe do a trade with someone who is trustworthy?
[ Jill's honestly impressed with her own advice here. But she really could do without Chris just stumbling onto pokemon. All of his group outside of Fennekin and Stufful were ones that just wandered into camp... ]

I'll keep all of that in mind. It's a lot to think about, but it's all good advice. Thanks! If there's anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Ha, yeah, I mean it's overwhelming just to be here - and you've still got quite a few Oddish to deal with. Advice is great, but it's better when it's more immediately useful.
You're quite welcome, but I'm good. Company's been swell, though! ;)

I agree that a more practical solution would be best now, but any assistance is better than none, I suppose. Hopefully we can run into each other sometime soon.
Just look for the girl with the pink ribbon and the trail of Oddish.
