Prompto. Are the others with you?

[Straight to the point, sorry Prompto.]

It's just me and Noct - Gladio isn't around here. Or anybody else from Eos-- but it's fine. Really - nobody'll notice we're gone or anything. I mean, you didn't notice I'm gone, right?

[ How long can he hold his tongue? It was easier not asking Noctis because he still looked the same. ]

...Uh, so... should we come pick you up, or...? I could probably afford a Ride Pager by now, so that'll make it quicker.

[His eyebrows raised a bit at that and his lips quirk in a slight smile.]

I think we all would notice should you disappear, Prompto.

[He's not saying you're loud but... you're loud.]

I ride would suffice, can I trust your driving your driving?

[He's assuming a ride pager is a car, please forgive him. He doesn't really trust anyone driving anything, though. Thanks, Noctis.]

Nah, like... time pauses back home? And then Noctis didn't tell me I'd talked about here back home so nobody really noticed. He's from my future.

[ Prompto has stopped questioning it until now.

...You'd ask him to drive. Prompto is realising a lot must have gone wrong. But he suddenly sounds grumpier. ]

...And it's not like that. We don't have a car. Like, at all. But I think there's a big bull thing? Dunno what Pokemon are in it. But I've got, like... none which are ridable? Except Freckles but he's a big fish.

[Noctis is from Prompto's future? This was confusing him greatly and Audino took his hand again. For the first time, Ignis decided it would be best to hold it right back as he thought about all of this.]

And exactly how far back are you?

[Nothing Prompto just said made a lick of sense, even with the grumpier tone.]

I'm not sure riding a bull-type creature is wise choice.

Uh, well I-- I was going to be setting off with you guys to go and meet Luna. So before... anything bad happened.

[ He knows Insomnia falls, and he can't stop it - Noctis told him. It's hard on him okay, and it's one reason he decided he'll make this count. So him and Noctis can be happy for once. And now Ignis as well? But Prompto then smiles to himself, sounding a little more cheerful. ]

Dude, this place is full of these monsters - it's like a video game and I've got like ten pets and they're all really cool. But no cars.

[From when their journey began, then. Ignis, however, was still unaware that Prompto could actually see him. He was aware that having Prompto see this, even if he were to no longer remember this particular journey, was perhaps not a good idea.]

A monster collecting game? [Only Prompto, and Noctis by proxy. He shakes his head a bit.] Alright, no cars. I suppose I have no other choice. A Ride Pager will have to suffice unless you can be patient enough for me to come to you.

Yeah, it's like that old one I used to play as a kid. [ Well, sort-of. Prompto played a Dragon Quest Monsters-esque game. ] But we'd be coming to get you anyway.

Believe it or not, I've missed you. Even if you look, uh... worse for wear?

[ ...That's when he lets it slip he can see Ignis. ]

[...well, then. He supposed that saved some questions and he was thankful Prompto had not asked any about his appearance. Tactful, for once. Audino, at least, sound apologetic in the background but Ignis didn't nothing more then a soft pat to her head. She could feel that her trainer wasn't offended by her mistake, as well.]

My... apologies, then. I would have preferred to warn you ahead of time.

[It was going to be inevitable but still.]

[ He's gone quiet for a while, after that - what can he say? Until there is a soft boof from his end - his Null is poking his head in. Right. He needs to keep this up. ]

If it makes you feel better? Noct, um-- he didn't mention anything about you being scarred.

[ Wait would that even make him feel better. ]

We've been safe. These guys don't attack us at all - they fight our monsters.

[He hears the boof but he is unable to discern what it is. Prompto's partner perhaps?]

I don't believe he would if he were aware of my condition.

[There's two possibilities and he hopes Noctis is already aware. If not...]

Would you tell him for me? If he does not see me prior to your arrival, I would rather not surprise him.

[Monsters that don't attack humans at all? He found that hard to believe. Having a partner protect you was something he understood plenty, but were it a wild animal, how would it just avoid the human in its aggressive state?]

I don't think I'll be able to stop him seeing this broadcast but we can leave the heavy questions for when you get here? [ He has a lot of them, and it'd be better in-person. ] Because, like... we both have these phones. They're not our old ones but they're good enough.

Let's see... from the first town to the next one is about three days, but me and Noct can teleport to that town-- [ There's a short pause. ] they've got teleport pads that just anybody can use, but I dunno if they work if only some people have been to the places.

[He nods]

A wise idea, yes. We will wait until we are together once more, then.

[A three day walk from here to the next town, Cherrygrove, he believed it was called. He had been making his way without his vision for some time now, but he had never been without the others quite yet either. He sighed softly, clearly somewhat frustrated by this next answer.]

It may be best I remain here until you and Noctis arrive. I can make do for three days.

[If nothing else, it gave him more time to ask the locals some questions.]
