1) Route 1 - Kanto

[Okay, this seemed a little easy - wandering around, capturing monsters, being the best that she can be and all of that. No sweat! For Rainbow Dash, this seems like the easiest thing in the world! And now, it was time for a fight - a Squirtle vs. a Pidgey. Time to add her first captured to her collection!]

Alright, Tank, let's show them what you're made of! Tackle it!

SQUIRT!

[And the turtle charged forward, tackling the bird, who responded by tackling the turtle in response. Care to watch this fight?]

2) Viridian City - Kanto

[It's been a long walk, but Rainbow Dash finally made it to the first stop in her journey... and she's failing to get into the Gym.]

Oh, come on! It's a gym, it's right there, why can't I get it? Ugh, you guys suck!

[And she's going to march off in a huff]

T'would be easy to do so, if this was the first gym.

[Oh hey, it's the tiny potato woman standing there, backpack slung over her shoulder with a little bemused expression on her face.]

In truth, the Viridian Gym doth be the eighth, not the first. T'would be prudent to head to Pewter City.

The eighth?! Why would they put the gym that is right after that little town as last?!

Ugh, someone here has a very bad sense of humor!

I think that was the point. But t'would be easier as a looped challenge, as the route to the Elite Four is a tarry stone away.

It is slightly maddening, but none such a worry in truth. But no matter, if thy wish to go to Pewter, there is a passage through the next route towards the city.

Ugh, fine.

[Rainbow Dash shook her head at that.] Though, right now I need to make sure my Pokemon are all healed up. I don't want to get out there with weak Pokemon.

The Pokemon Center is that way. [Said Nanamo, gesturing down the road.] Come, walk with me; I have business there as well.

The name doth suit you, Rainbow. It is an apt name.

Pray yes, my companion hath wandered off in a fit of childlike wonder, so we agreed we would join up sooner at the place of healing.

Ah... oh, right. [A friend ran off in excitement, but agreed to meet up at the Pokemon Center. Gosh, this kind of talking is something Twilight - either of them - would enjoy!]

I wonder if there's anything else I should do while I'm here...

Hey, what do you think you're doing?

[ Chibiusa may have slept through the whole speech about battling Pokemon to add them to your team. In fact, she may have slept through the whole thing. That's why she's wandering around on this route with no real direction--well, until she saw someone bullying another Pokemon!

That seems wrong, right? It's really wrong! ] Leave that poor, um--[ Hold on, she's holding up her PokeDex to it to identify the Pokemon. ] That poor Pidgey! You should leave it alone!

Wh-what?! [Rainbow Dash stopped, blinking in confusion, looking at Chibiusa.] What am I doing? I'm trying to capture it! I'm a Trainer, that's what I'm supposed to do, right?!

[lunaball]

[ Pause. ] ... Is it?

[ She may recall something about that, but the specifics are a little lost on her right now. Nearby, her Sablye peers around her body to stare towards the other trainer with its crystalline eyes. ]

[loyalguitarist]

I'm... sure it is? I think that I was told that! Oh, now you're making me double think this!

[lunaball]

You should be double thinking it without my interference. [ Look at that poor Pidgey. It must have been frightened to be attacked by a turtle... squirrel? Squirrel turtle?

What is that thing? It looks like a monster, except tinier.

Raising her PokeDex towards it, she'll identify it. Squirtle. Seems she wasn't too off the mark with her guesses. ]

[loyalguitarist]

You interrupted me! You should have done all of this after I was done!

[And the Pidgey is starting to escape, Tank approaching Rainbow Dash and pulling her sock to try to warn her.]

[lunaball]

So I should stand by while someone is being a bully and just let it happen? How do you think that Pudgey would feel?

[ It's a Pidgey, Chibiusa. Not a Pudgey. ]

[loyalguitarist]

I'm not being a bully!

[And Rainbow Dash is trying to move Squirtle away as it still tries to warn her.]

[Rarity came upon the scene, her Rockruff in her arms as she pet the lovely puppy. She had heard about this! They were to fight and capture these Pokemon, right? And oh! How lovely, Rainbow Dash was here!]

Go Rainbow Dash! You can do it!

[Rockruff barked in a cheer as well.]

[Rainbow Dash looked back and grinned at the sight of Rarity. Oh, good - someone from home! Back to the battle, she gave her Squirtle another command.]

Alright, Tail Whip it! Let's make it easier to get!

[At that, the turtle leapt at the bird, lightly smacking it with its tail, causing it to lower its defenses.]

[raritydarling]

[She winced at the tail whip. Oh, she wasn't so sure she could ever do something like battling Pokemon like this but... surely, it was okay to watch, yes?]

You've got this, you two! One more and you should be good!

[At least, she hoped just one more. Rockruff barked as well, her own tail wagging happily at the spectacle.]

Alright, hit it was a Tackle and I'll take it from there!

[The Squirtle nails the Pidgey and backs off long enough for Rainbow Dash to catch it with a Poke Ball. One twitch, two twitches, three twitches... caught!]

Aaaaaalright! We got one!

Squirtle!

Yay! Good job, Rainbow Dash!

[She ran up to her friend and gave her a big one armed hug, Rockruff still in her other arm, after all.]

Oh, I'm so glad you're here as well! I was awfully worried all by myself...

[It wasn't that she couldn't handle herself but this was something entirely different than just having Twilight coming from Equestria. She would need a friend or five with her!]

[loyalguitarist]

Oh! [Rainbow Dash would chuckle before returning the hug, hopefully the Rockruff would let her pet 'em.] So you've been here before me? Or did just somehow miss you?

[She grins sheepishly at that.]

[raritydarling]

I believe we just missed each other, darling. But don't worry about it!

[Rockruff lets Rainbow Dash pet her, just be careful of the rocks on her neck! They can be a little sharp.]

We can travel together now. I wonder if the others are here.

They'd better be! They're missing probably the greatest place ever!
