Ash shrugged. Given he had never shone at Biology, it was easy for him to simply roll with 'everything comes from eggs and also here's a living metal ball it will be your friend or it might electrocute you'.

Her eyes widen in surprise. "They all lay eggs? Even the Grass ones? And the mammalian ones?" That is strange.

She was used to having adapt her knowledge and having the rules of the universe bent on her, but still throwing out her entire education was going to take a moment.

"Yep! You get an egg. And you get an egg! Everybody gets an egg!" He booped Danny on the nose, then Psychopump, then just spread his arm wide in a 'come one, come all' sort of gesture.

"But I mean. I got a ghost-pumpkin, a dog that can sense auras, a fire lion and a...a sor tof small child with a big-ass helmet and psychic powers. Them lying eggs isn't the weirdest thing about this place."

To Ivy though, the egg laying was one of the weirder things. She was used to strange creatures appearing thanks to science or magic or some other third thing, but it all still seemed to follow the basic rules of her earth.

But it was starting to seem like this wasn't her earth.
