It takes everything Vanitas has not to snicker at the look on the Krabby's face. Oh this was too good.

"You should head out to the islands. I bet you could find all sorts of delicious treats," he suggested earning him a twill of a giggle from his Phantump.

If he had to guess he'd say that this guy probably wasn't human wherever it was that he came from. Funny how that sort of thing works here. And it's a shame, too. He was curious to know what this weirdo looked like normally.

"Vanitas." He nods to the other and unseats Flood in the process, the Phantump drifting dramatically to his shoulder. "New here?"

"Islands?"

He stares a moment then contemplates this news . "Islands here..? Perhaps Maui was here as well. And he would never suspect me as a human like himself..."

He slaps his fist into his hand, lettin Krabby clunk to the floor.

"Excellent then I have the element of surprise!" And there comes the maniacal laugh.

Who the hell is he talking to? Thought Krabby, looking concerned.

"Hnm?" Tamatoa looks back at Vanitas, laugh suddenly cut off "Oh, yes I am. What a strange place this is. Much more boring than where I'm from anyway."

Oh, hey, yeah, I saw a bunch of those little dudes hangin' around the beaches in Goldenrod.

_{[He's grinning, pretty happy to help and appreciating this dude's style. But he can't help but open his mouth again.]}

His claws look a little heavy...are you sure he can still pull punches?

[Rakka leaves the towns sometimes to just. get outside. She has to sometimes, Botan had decreed it when she found Rakka asleep in her store after working for so long.

So, here she was, walking down the route outside Violet city - Well, she wasn't walking per se. She was riding, on her Dodrio. And again, it's not her that notices Jack, it's her Dodrios.

And they don't see Jack, they see his Poke-puffs.

Is Jack prepared for this? He might be, as three loudly squawking heads calling from across the field signal the arrival of a large bird, and the girl holding onto it's back for dear life.]

"Fifteen is quite young. I too, traveled the world at a young age, but I was always with a mentor for training."

Jack is not amused. Then again, his best friend is the Scotsman, so he's still pretty patient, despite his annoyed tone.

Little...? Are they all this little? How embarrassing, how pathetic!!

[ Tamatoa shakes the little Krabby, who just takes it with the same wide eyed concern it took everything from its trainer. ]

Hmm..? His claws? Well, its a sacrifice for beauty isn't it?

[ The Krabby sluggishly lifts a claw to wave, to show that he can at least get it up a little for the sake of the other trainer before the claw is grabbed by Tamatoa's fat fingers. ]

But think of how strong he will become! With good muscle and... Oh, you'll be delicious won't you?

"I don't need a mentor. I'm perfectly fine on my own!"

Current moment aside of course. He'd done pretty well hadn't he? He'd avoided death by random magical creature rather decently.

Jack had no room to talk if he traveled at 15 too, even with a mentor. That just meant he was less capable! That was how Yuri would justify it in his mind, arms crossing over his chest.

"Maybe I'm just beyond where you were."

Seriously? purred the Glameow. We were just almost eaten by Beedrill.

No, nope, no water, screw you, screw the world you came from, screw those Beedrills, screw this water, screw that other blonde!! Potya was just screaming a litany of Poke-swears, tail lashing about wildly because this was just unacceptable. Yuri needed to start swimming to shore RIGHT NOW.

"Ow ow ow ow ow! Potya, KNOCK IT OFF, GET OFF ME!" Yuri was going to drown at this rate and take the damn cat with him out of spite.

The hands touching Potya made her fluff even more. At least as much as she could being soaked. She turns her head, eyes flashing as she focuses on Link.

It's your fault!

Then wham, Glameow to the face.

Yuri gasps with newly found access to air. He whips his head around to try and find where Potya went and-- Oh.

"Potya!!"

Link let's out a yelp as he's suddenly hit in the face with an angry Glameow, the young man flailing backwards as he attempts to pry the feline off while keeping himself and her above water.

His Buizel pops up at the surface again and let's out a worried bark, darting over and swimming a few quick circles around Link and Potya in an attempt to..do something. He's not really sure what he's trying to accomplish okay he's just worried!

Man, this kid's got a mouth on him. Jack's brow furrows for a moment, but, he's then reminded of someone else who talked a lot of talk. He settles for unamused.

"I sincerely doubt that, young one."

The noise does grab his attention, though he doesn't turn around. He motions for Honedge, who wraps it's arm-sash around his right wrist. He sets down the half woven grass hat he had been working on, but still doesn't turn. It's almost as if he's just wanting the Dodrio to strike.

[Blinkblink. On top of being bright, you're a little....out there. Even for what Jack's seen.]

That Pokemon seems quite encumbered with it's burden. You may have given it too much.

[Action]

[In the grass right outside Cherrygrove City, her bubble-blowing, sea lion pokemon Mira the Popplio was practicing her bubbles and Water Gun attack on an empty grass field with the exception of some nearby trees. So much energy for such a small Pokémon, Madison can't but be entertained and intrigued at the same time. However, as Mira investigated closer she couldn't help but notice a birdlike Pokémon with a red crest that Madison realized was a Pikipek: A Normal/Flying type bird.]

"Mira, look out!" Caught off-guard, Mira was then defending against a Fury Attack move from the tiny bird. "Use Water Gun, if won't listen. We can then capture it. On cue, a direct Water-type attack bit the Pikipek's left wing and as he or she plummeted to the ground as the Pokeball shook three times and then a small ding as it was caught.

[Network]

Excuse me? I have a question for all those with more experience battling than me, is it normal for a Pokémon to be so aggressive even after catching them? Particularly, when it happens to be a small bird?

....Well, then he'll have to get stronger then won't he?

[ Tamatoa didn't quite get why this person was saying the KRabby was struggling. Clearly he was fine!

The Krabby lifted a heavy claws and waves at Jack, almost in a 'please come save me' way. ]

See? He says hello!

They'll get bigger if you train 'em right.

_{[It's a little hard to see through the Poke'Gear's tiny screen, but Maurice does give the tiny crab a sympathetic look.]}

I guess you got a point. No pain, no gain?

Overencumbering him will not increase his strength. It must be done gradually. So many gems and stones will only hurt him.

Typical human! None of your kind understand the strength of mine. He will be quite fine!

[ The little Krabby is waved a little as Tamatoa talks with his hands. Krabby did appreciate his trainer holding him right now but not so much the hand waving. ]

[ Oh no, now Tamatoa was looking at him like he was food again. Krabby felt a deep sense of dread swelling up again because he'd thought maybe his trainer had forgotten the promise to eat him. ]

Exactly! And he will grow big and juicy. And look proper while doing so, properly shiny!

So now I know where the rest of them live, perfectly delightful. I will have to start there shortly.

_{[Maurice's brows knit as he watches this unfold. And then it clicks.]}

Woah! Woah woah woah, dude, you aren't really gonna...

Yuri didn't seem to care or even notice that Jack was unamused. He just looked determined and fully confident of his own abilities. He knew he was ahead of his peers back home so here shouldn't be any different through hard work.

And maybe.. less chasing baby pokemon to a nest of their final evolution.

"Thanks again I guess. I have to keep going, I need to beef this little Weedle up after taking it to the Pokemon center."

"A word of advice...you should show your elders a little more respect in the future. Not all can be as forgiving."

I have heard such claims before. I assure you, my understanding of strength training is quite complete.

Claws embedded quite deeply and firmly into the blond headed young man. Potya refused to release until the water issue was resolved. She hissed loudly at the Buizel as it barks and darts about, claws digging in a little deeper because she's really not having any of this right now.

Yuri thought about trying to just yank the Glameow off but decides instead to grab Link's arm and pull him closer to the shore. If that's what Potya wanted then---

Yes, as soon as they were close enough she made a huge leap for shore, landing with a neat flick of her tail. A firm shake off and then she sits neatly, facing away from them to start drying herself off.

"Stupid cat! Its just water, what are you going to do against a water Pokemon?!" Yuri was soaked too and he didn't make a huge deal out of it!

He squeezes the edge of shirt out with a twist, looking back to Link. "Are you bleeding or anything?"

Yuri had a couple droplets but he was used to cat scratches.

Yuri gives Jack a weird look then a firm eyeroll. Oh, okay he was one of those people. He wasn't here to deal with that kind of garbage.

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Probably around when they stop assuming I'm just a dumb kid."

He pats his leg for Potya, who takes a moment to rub in appreciation against the Honedge then Jack's legs before trotting after Yuri.

[A young girl answers the feed! She's seemingly surrounded by a few pokemon of her own... or it might just be that this one has three heads. That's a Dodrio for you.]

Um, well most pokemon are different, they all have different personalities and opinions! So, I guess that's not too out of the question.
