Jack | Samurai Jack [came in late last month lol trying again]
[In the tall grass, just outside of Violet City, on the Violet City side of Route 36, a young man sits, weaving plucked blades into something. It's impossible to tell what it is right now, he must have just started. A Honedge floats near him, apparently on watch. He turns to it, after a bit.]
You don't have to patrol so much, you know. [Honedge replies with a disgruntled noise. POKEMON LIVE IN THE TALL GRASS DON'T YOU KNOW???]
Not going to dissuade you, hmm? [He reaches into his nearby bag and pulls out some brightly colored Poke-puffs] Then, perhaps a snack would help?
[Honedge tries to stay annoyed, but it just can't in the presence of such delicacies. It settles down next to the man, happily munching on it's food. The man, in turn smiles and pats its handle affectionately, before going back to weaving.]

.....Hello? [The camera jostles and moves around as Jack inspects the Gear.]
I think I've activated this device, somehow. [He peers into the camera lens, giving the network a nice closeup of his eye.]
My apologies. I can tell that there is some sort of camera, but I must admit that the workings of such devices are still quite confusing to me.
Is...this connected to another device? The book read that it was meant for communication with others....um....if anyone can hear me, please, respond?

So, here she was, walking down the route outside Violet city - Well, she wasn't walking per se. She was riding, on her Dodrio. And again, it's not her that notices Jack, it's her Dodrios.
And they don't see Jack, they see his Poke-puffs.
Is Jack prepared for this? He might be, as three loudly squawking heads calling from across the field signal the arrival of a large bird, and the girl holding onto it's back for dear life.]

Sasami Masaki Jurai | Tenchi Muyo!
[It's Route 1, where virtually all adventures begin! Stomping across the fields is a large Tropius, thumping across the ground with a little girl sitting on its back.]
Thanks for letting me ride on you, Tropius. At the very least, we can get to Veridian City faster and I can walk the rest of the adventure, okay?
[There's a roar as the Pokemon nods before stopping. Seems like a group of trainers were nearby. Were they blocking the path?]
...that's not good. Maybe we can avoid them?
[Network]
Oh, hey, I got it working! Hi, everyone!
[And you can see Sasami waves at the camera, a big smile on her face.]
Hey, I'm curious about something - I'm at Veridian City, but there seems to be a lot of paths to choose from. Which one should I go to?
Re: Sasami Masaki Jurai | Tenchi Muyo!
I only have one Pokemon, [Apple reasoned with the trainer who was looking sheepish.] Can't you give me a pass for once?
[Said trainer seemed to be awkwardly mumbling how eyes locking meant battle but...]
I promise I'll come back when I'm stronger, all right?

Yuri Plisetsky - Yuri on Ice
Yuri slid down the bank before pushing off and running further ahead. Potya, his Glameow hopped from the bank onto his shoulders gracefully. He was after a Weedle. It wasn't the most impressive of Pokemon but it would evolve into one and that was what he wanted. He understood the evolutionary process pretty well.
It was scuttling rapidly ahead of him, its tail disappearing in the grass every couple seconds before Yuri could catch up.
"Dammit, dammit! Come back here! Its not like I'm going to eat you, you little shi--"
He pulls up short, as the Weedle had stopped at the base of a tree. He grins, Potya jumping from his shoulder to start approaching.
"I got you now..."
Potya suddenly stops, fur fluffing and ears going back. She looks over her shoulder at Yuri with wide eyes because that loud buzzing was getting louder. The tree seemed to be alive.
"What? What's wrong? Its just a Wee--"
A weedle and its Beedrill family waking from the noise of a human talking.
[Network]
Look. At. This. FACE.
[ The video opens to a slim blonde looking absolutely excited. He then lifts a Glameow up, squishing her fluffy cheeks happily. ]
Isn't she the best? Look at her, she's literally the best. She's perfect!
[ He then lifts the feline Pokemon up, as if he were showing her at a cat show, to show her off. To him she was perfect. And the Glameow was quite pleased with that. ]
And even better.
[ He sets her down onto his lap then balances an orange on her head. ]
Look at her! She can balance shi--stuff on her head!!!
BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
A Buizel busts through some of the bushes first, running on all fours as fast as it can, bark-chirping at the Glameow because holy shit get out of here right now! Next comes his trainer, Link darting out of the bushes, a few leaves and sticks in his hair and his clothes have definitely seen better days but hey that doesn't matter right now. He initially darts past Yuri then stops, turns around as quickly as he can and darts back, grabbing the other blonde and starting to pull on him.

Tamatoa [Humanized for Game] - Moana
Another crystal was carefully pressed onto the shell of the Krabby. Tamatoa had been at this for.. probably hours. Everything had to be perfectly placed so every part of this Krabby was layered, encrusted, bedazzled. It was certainly delicate work. But..
Tamatoa lifts the crabby in his big hands, presenting it to himself with a big grin.
"Wonderful! Absolutely wonderful!! How does it feel to be shiny?"
The Krabby stared at his trainer with a blank look, claws hanging down. He wasn't sure what just happened to it but he was made to stay still for a long time.
"I thought you'd like it. You're the most beautiful thing in the world. No doubt at all you'll be well fed and properly fat!"
Then Tamatoa leans in, eyes bright and grin growing wider and more menacing.
"As long as you remember you'll never be as beautiful as I am."
His face was squished against the Krabby's, both their eyes crossed so they could stare at each other. The Krabby... now fearful because that grip was rather tight.
Then Tamatoa was releasing him back onto the table. "Anyway! I'm certain you'll win whatever contest I toss you in. I need some of those coins to get more shinies for myself!"
[Network]
Tamatoa took up much of the screen, though in his lap was the most bedazzled Krabby to ever exist. Tamatoa himself was quite bedazzled himself, with whatever necklaces and trinkets he could find to drape across his broad and irritatingly human shoulders. There just wasn't enough room to properly adorn himself on such a tiny, weak body.
"I'm sure one of you humans can assist me. I am looking for more of my proper people."
He holds up the Krabby, who looked distressed, though its claws hung from the weight of its bedazzling.
"They look like this, only far bigger. And better in every way. But these little ones would do as well. If you know where I can find them then I demand you tell me, as soon as possible!"
SHINNNYYY
Vanitas had only meant for his stop inside the Pokemon Center to be brief; he just needed to snag a few things and be on his way. But the blindingly ugly gleam of something had caught his eye--and his Phantump's--and the pair had been unable to look away.
Thus the comment.
Flood takes it upon herself to drift over, giggling up a storm as she circles around the Krabby on the table, reaching out to delicately poke at some of the gems and jewels.
You look ridiculous!

That's all he's got for the moment, sorry.
Was once in this game, trying to get new fresh samples so I can reapp Madison.
[In the grass right outside Cherrygrove City, her bubble-blowing, sea lion pokemon Mira the Popplio was practicing her bubbles and Water Gun attack on an empty grass field with the exception of some nearby trees. So much energy for such a small Pokémon, Madison can't but be entertained and intrigued at the same time. However, as Mira investigated closer she couldn't help but notice a birdlike Pokémon with a red crest that Madison realized was a Pikipek: A Normal/Flying type bird.]
"Mira, look out!" Caught off-guard, Mira was then defending against a Fury Attack move from the tiny bird. "Use Water Gun, if won't listen. We can then capture it. On cue, a direct Water-type attack bit the Pikipek's left wing and as he or she plummeted to the ground as the Pokeball shook three times and then a small ding as it was caught.
[Network]
Excuse me? I have a question for all those with more experience battling than me, is it normal for a Pokémon to be so aggressive even after catching them? Particularly, when it happens to be a small bird?
network
Um, well most pokemon are different, they all have different personalities and opinions! So, I guess that's not too out of the question.
Hunk | Voltron: Legendary Defender
Little red light's universal for recording, right? Guys? Hello?
[A concerned young man in what might be armor peers out onto the network. Must be new arrival day in New Bark.]
Shiro, Pidge, Lance, any of you guys out there? It's Hunk.
I'm okay, I think, but good news and bad news. Bad news is, I lost the Yellow Lion. I've got no idea where that wormhole spit me out, there's at least one human here but she's crazy and locked me out, a-a-a-and if this thing is actually a communicator I've got no idea who or where it's actually broadcasting to.
Good news is... there's. There's no good news, sorry.
[There's a low, gravelly rumble from somewhere off-screen. Hunk freezes just a little, eyes darting to one side like he's trying to look over his shoulder without actually turning his head.]
...oh. And there's this. Boulder rhino thing following me. ...It's kind of terrifying. Like a lot.
[Action]
-and that should be good to just simmer for a while.
[It's evening on the early routes of Johto, and Hunk has managed to procure, from somewhere in New Bark, a camping pot; currently full of bubbling, aromatic liquid.]
[A Rhyhorn is settled down opposite Hunk, eyeing the pot dully.]
Not my best work, but considering what's available it should be pretty good. Too bad we couldn't find any wild tubers, I MISS potatoes. But once we reach town we'll really be able to- hey, hey!
[Earlier fear forgotten, Hunk swats at the Rhyhorn with a ladle as it steps forward to try dipping its massive snout into the pot.]
Not til it's done, dude! It's a stew, you gotta let it reduce for the flavors to really blend. Trust me.
[The Rhyhorn lets out a disgruntled rumble of a growl, but settles back down.]
Don't gimme that, dude, I'm waiting too. ...Fine, here. Have a Berry, I'm not sure what else to do with these yet.

There is something that catches his attention, though. A very familiar sounding name.]
Ah, excuse me, did you say Shiro?
I'm not sure if it a very common name, but by any chance do you mean a tall man, with a scar across his face and black and white hair?
[Sort of looks like he is always running on no sleep? Father to his men and literally everything that just stands still long enough near him? That guy?]
Because if he is the one you are looking for, the good news is that he is here.

Hanako Ikezawa | Katawa Shoujo
[It had been a couple of days since Hanako had arrived in this...strange new world. Her first reaction had been of course, to panic. Thankfully, that had died down considerably, but she still wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to be doing here. Nor was she sure she actually wanted to be here. She was supposed to be traveling with her friends in the newspaper club for the summer.
She and her Pokémon, an odd little creature called a Mimikyu had made their way to Cherygrove City, and while not fond of her situation, Hanako couldn't deny it was a very charming place. She found herself sitting on the beach, sharing a premade lunch with her timid little companion, staring out at the waves.]
I...I don't know. M-maybe this isn't so bad?
[She mused more to herself than anyone in particular, but her Mimikyu chittered back in response. Possibly an agreement. But then again, it was being fed at the moment.]
[Network]
[Thankfully, Hanako is not a complete stranger to technology, so getting the camera feed to work is not an issue. She does look more than a little nervous though, and even then, there's the ears of what...may possible be a Pikachu sticking out from behind a nearby tree, the creature seeming to be trembling.]
Um...I...I'm really confused. [And frightened, but she's trying not to break down right now.]
W-what am I supposed to do? I d-don't know where to go or...well...anything.

Megumin | KONOSUBA God's Blessing On This Green Earth!
Megumin sat at a road crossing, looking at her Togepi like it was food. She had run out of rations a hour ago, and her stomach was growling. Togepi stared back at her, tilting it's head innocently.
"I wish I could eat you," said Megumin in a despondent tone, flopping down onto the road with a gurgling stomach.
No food, no Explosion Magic, no Aqua, Darkness or Kazuma. She would even take Wiz and YunYun too.
"I'm so hungry..."
B. Explosions
"EXPLOSION!"
BOOM.
The cry was accompanied by a literal swathe of forest detonating in a massive explosion. Megumin was grinning ear to ear as her Togepi cheered and rolled around, despite being a bit soot stained.
"That was great, do it again! EXPLOSION!"
BOOM. There goes a whole field.
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOOOOOOOOOM!
C. Pokegear
[Megumin had found some portable lunch and was chewing as she fiddled with the camera.]
This is weird. It's like a letter, but it isn't. Hello? Anyone on that end? Kazuma? You there?
Credence Barebone | Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
Credence could see the lights of a town up ahead. If he could just get to that town. If he could get there maybe they would be able to help him find his way back.
A haunting cry sounded behind him and he whips around, hands in tight fists. That thing from the ball was still following him. It was obviously magic, witchcraft. Terrible witchcraft had brought him here and now there were magical beasts chasing him. Poltergeists!!
He turns back around and is suddenly face to face with that little creature again. It was floating at eye level, staring at him with a big smile and eyes seeming to glow. Then it screams loudly right in his face.
Where the blood was very rapidly draining from. Credence's hand was clutching his pendant that Mr. Graves had given to him like it was crucifix and if he wished hard enough the man would appear and resolve this entire.. this...
No, nope, done.
He turns to quickly take off. His heart was pounding in his ears and he felt mindless in his attempt to flee the creature. He pushes through the bushes and dodges around trees, startling other sleeping creatures. He's forced to stop, gasping in air.
All around him eyes were glowing in the dark, looking towards him. Credence clutches his hair, feeling like he was going insane.
"Mr. Graves... Mr. Graves..? .... Ma..?"
He turns slowly, seeing the eyes in the trees, unaware they were curious HootHoots, a Noctowl or two. A few startled day time bird Pokemon.
Along the bushes, in the grass, more rustling and eyes peeking out. A few growls. Credence felt like he couldn't breathe. This wasn't New York, this wasn't any where near New York and he was alone and--
And he stops in his turn. There was the Misdreavus again, or as he thought, insane poltergeist creature. It was smiling at him. Its mouth opens and it screams again, only to be cut off as...
As Credence passes out onto the grass, crumpling like a boneless heap.
The Misdreavus blinks a few times, completely startled by her new trainer's reaction. It was all in fun, wasn't it?
Oops.
no subject
That's what Credence would find himself waking up to several hours later, a fire crackling somewhere close as someone scolds the Misdreavus. A coat is resting over Credence and his head is pillowed on a backpack, whoever it was that found him clearly wanting to try and make him comfortable.
Once he's awake and can see where he is, he'll find himself in the midst of a small campsite with...that's a lot of Pokemon settled about.
A large, old Drampa is resting around the far edge of the campsite, dozing contently with a small Rockruff and a Piplup curled up against him. A Gastly is hovering around the fire near the Misdreavus making a soft tsking sound, clearly just as unimpressed with what she had done as his trainer is. An Audino is busy cleaning up a mess some of the other Pokemon had made with the help of a Noibat who looks like he'd rather be sleeping than doing this but who can deny Queenie?
And the source of the voice?
Newt Scamander is sitting on a log, frowning gently at the Misdreavus as a Staravia sits beside him on the log with the same sort of frown. Two small Flabebes are perched on Newt's shoulder whispering to one another, catching up since Morgan had only just returned home.
"Once he wakes up, it would be the best idea for you to apologize and try to make amends with him. The poor boy has already been through quite a bit, there's no need to make it worse for him. Understood?" Newt said softly, head tilting.

Prompto Argentum l FFXV (nothing is up for September yet)
What journey? Is this another one of Ardyn's tricks? Noct and the others had just rescued him from that terrible room and brought him to a dorm of sorts to rest up... hadn't they? Astrals, was that all a dream? A hallucination?
He's definitely starting to panic now, standing at the edge of a road and looking wildly around at the little town. It's really small, more the size of an outpost than anything else. There's a gentle breeze brushing over his skin, and he can smell the salt of the ocean in the air. The sun is warm and everything seems so ... pleasant. Could Ardyn even envision something so nice, let alone somehow make it reality?
Prompto feels something winding around his ankles, gently nudging his legs and he looks down to see the cute fuzz ball from the (his?) room. It's fur is brown and tan, with long pointed ears and a bushy tail that's currently swishing around as it's black nose sniffs him. Squatting and plopping his bag on the ground, he extends one hand to the inquiring nose and smiles widely when he feels the wet 'boop' against his palm. It gives a little chirp before jumping up and Prompto's reflexes kick in, allowing him to catch the fluffy little thing and cradle it to his chest.]
You're way too friendly to be something Ardyn made. I wonder if there's anything in this bag that'll tell me what you are. And maybe tell me where I am and what's even going on.
[One hand keeps the little critter tucked against him as Prompto uses the other to rifle through his backpack and comes across a few red and white balls (what the hell are these things?), some clothes and underwear (how did that woman know his size?), a sleeping bag, rope, food (but no drink?), an assortment of vials and containers that hold different colored liquids (are they like Elixirs?), toiletries, and some sort of electronic device.
Ah! Tech stuff! He may be able to figure out what's going on yet! It looks like the device has a camera, so he gently places the cute critter on the ground and tries to take a picture of it. Prompto nearly drops the damn thing when it starts speaking, rattling off things that sound like a name, stats, and general information about the little guy.]
So you're called Eevee? Huh, I just thought that was a noise you made but really you were just trying to tell me what you are. And you're a genetic mystery too... man, we're a pretty good pair!
Now what else does this thing do...?
[Prompto starts pressing a few buttons and hears some sort of ... click? Ping? Something. And maybe what sounds like the static you can hear on an open phone line when it connects but no one is talking.
Is this thing recording him? Head tilted he looks at what appears to be a front-facing camera and starts talking, hoping someone, anyone can hear him.]
[Network]
H-hello? I'm pretty sure I figured this thing out sooooo if anyone can hear me please tell me what's going on? Confused is ... kind of an understatement.
(Its okay, you can tag on that one too when it comes up if you want)
It was still difficult for Noctis and in turn it made it difficult for Ignis. He already felt weak here, unable to stand by Noctis as he should. Things would hopefully change soon enough, with the assistance of Oleander, his Espurr.
Dahlia, his Audino, was seated beside him, showing Ignis the controls to the Pokegear as Oleander acted as his eyes on his lap. It was all an adjustment but Ignis wanted to be more independent of his Pokemon.
Outside of Oleander, of course.
It was Dahlia who pointed out the familiar face first, letting out an excited cry. Ignis tapped the respond quickly. ]
Prompto! Where are you, you just vanished suddenly. Noct is worried half to death as well as your Pokemon.
