This world is... strange. Nobody can explain it, but it brings people from other worlds here. I do not think it is entirely random, but so far, nobody has been able to established a proper pattern either.

When it brings people from the same world here, they don't have to arrive from the same moment in time. And apparently when you are brought here, it will always bring you back to the exact same moment when you are sent home, so others won't even realise you were gone. From my perspective, Shiro has been here for... nearly a year, I think. Just like me.

Shiro might be able to explain this better than I can.
