The Krabby had a long suffering expression, as well as a slight tremble. Obviously it was ridiculous, and heavy and Krabby hated everything right now.

Tamatoa whips around then grins again, a sparkle of gold even on his teeth. He was ...bigger, to put it gently, than Vanitas. By quite a bit. Height and.. girth.

And even as a human he was covered in shiny.

"I made him properly shiny! Otherwise something this small would starve.. or be eaten by something bigger, like me."

He plucks Krabby up by his claw to show him to Vanitas.

"I was told he isn't food which is ludicrous? Look at him.. So small, he's finger food!"

Krabby's eyes got wider because nope. No. This is why he just sat still and put up with whatevwr his trainer wanted.

Oh boy. This guy was something else, wasn't he?

Vani's lips curved into a hint of a grin as he crossed his arms, almost feeling sorry for the Krabby but honestly? It was kind of hilarious.

"Yeah people generally frown on eating Pokemon," he drawled, rolling his eyes. "I don't get why." Actually he did but hey, feeding into this guy's mindset was going to be fun. His Phantump drifted back over to him, mock-scolding him with a twill before dropping onto his head, arms crossed as she mimicked his position.

"You know he turns into an even bigger crab, right? More food if you get him to that point."

If Krabby's eyes could get wider they'd be popping out of his head. No no no why would this person say that!? Tamatoa really seemed ready to eat him!!

And Tamatoa's eyes brightened considerably. A BIGGER version!?

"That's the best news I've heard all day. Do you hear that little Maui?"

He spins it around, holding it up by the claws.

"You'll be fattened up and cracked open and be the best eating I've had since Grandma!"

He looks back at Vanitas and puts his hand to his own chest to introduce himself. Krabby? Hanging by one claw in his other hand.

"Tamatoa. And you?"

It takes everything Vanitas has not to snicker at the look on the Krabby's face. Oh this was too good.

"You should head out to the islands. I bet you could find all sorts of delicious treats," he suggested earning him a twill of a giggle from his Phantump.

If he had to guess he'd say that this guy probably wasn't human wherever it was that he came from. Funny how that sort of thing works here. And it's a shame, too. He was curious to know what this weirdo looked like normally.

"Vanitas." He nods to the other and unseats Flood in the process, the Phantump drifting dramatically to his shoulder. "New here?"

"Islands?"

He stares a moment then contemplates this news . "Islands here..? Perhaps Maui was here as well. And he would never suspect me as a human like himself..."

He slaps his fist into his hand, lettin Krabby clunk to the floor.

"Excellent then I have the element of surprise!" And there comes the maniacal laugh.

Who the hell is he talking to? Thought Krabby, looking concerned.

"Hnm?" Tamatoa looks back at Vanitas, laugh suddenly cut off "Oh, yes I am. What a strange place this is. Much more boring than where I'm from anyway."
