[It had been a couple of days since Hanako had arrived in this...strange new world. Her first reaction had been of course, to panic. Thankfully, that had died down considerably, but she still wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to be doing here. Nor was she sure she actually wanted to be here. She was supposed to be traveling with her friends in the newspaper club for the summer.

She and her Pokémon, an odd little creature called a Mimikyu had made their way to Cherygrove City, and while not fond of her situation, Hanako couldn't deny it was a very charming place. She found herself sitting on the beach, sharing a premade lunch with her timid little companion, staring out at the waves.]

I...I don't know. M-maybe this isn't so bad?

[She mused more to herself than anyone in particular, but her Mimikyu chittered back in response. Possibly an agreement. But then again, it was being fed at the moment.]

[Network]

[Thankfully, Hanako is not a complete stranger to technology, so getting the camera feed to work is not an issue. She does look more than a little nervous though, and even then, there's the ears of what...may possible be a Pikachu sticking out from behind a nearby tree, the creature seeming to be trembling.]

Um...I...I'm really confused. [And frightened, but she's trying not to break down right now.]

W-what am I supposed to do? I d-don't know where to go or...well...anything.

It can be a bit overwhelming at first.

[It certainly had been for Armin. And he had thankfully had a friend there with him.]

Do you know what city you are right now? Ah, though, I should probably introduce myself first. I'm Armin.

[It's very much overwhelming. Moreso than her first day at Yamaku was. It's a wonder she hasn't lapsed into a panic attack yet.]

Y-yeah. [Deep breaths, Hanako.]

I'm...I'm not really sure. The s-same one I woke up in?

[She pauses for a moment before continuing. She didn't want to be rude.]

My n-name is Hanako.

Ah, that would be New Bark town.

It's really not such a bad world when you get used to it. Actually, it's quite incredible. The things you can see and do here are incredible. And there is the pokemon too, of course.

New...Bark Town?

[Needless to say she's never heard of it.]

I'm n-not sure... [Another pause.]

Is that what...that is?

[She directs the video feed to the cowering form that's still not entirely concealed by the tree.]

It's hard to explain but you've been brought to an entirely new world. Most likely, you won't know any of the cities here.

And yes, that is a pokemon. They come in many species. Ah, for example-- [He leans off screen for a moment, and when he leans back, he has a red oricorio perched on his hand.] This is one of the newest pokemon I've acquired. Her name is Amelia.

When people are first brought here, they are also giving a first pokemon companion. The one behind the tree is probably yours.

Oh.

[That's not very comforting either. Thankfully, the talk of Pokémon is enough to distract her for the time being. While she was still confused and frightened, these creatures had her curious.]

B-but I think it's...afraid.

They all have unique personalities. Some are more brave than others.

[And some are completely foolhardy.]

If you are nervous, it might also be reacting to that.

Sort of like p-people?

[She more or less gets it.]

I'm...n-not sure I can help that.

O-oh, does that mean... that you're new here?

[Rakka's voice was filled with concern, more then likely due to how much this sounded just like herself.]

Please, don't be scared. This place is actually really nice once you can get used to it.

[She's somewhere between scared and panicked. Honestly, Hanako is hoping this is just some kind of bad dream.]

...yes. [Hanako chews on her lip for a moment, clearly unsure what to say or ask, but she finally relents.]

I...I'm not so s-sure...

[Well, the good news is, Rakka's had some bad dreams in the past, and this place isn't half as bad as those.]

Really, i-it's okay...

[Rakka's gaze flickers off to the side, as though something distracts her temporarily.]

Do... you have a name? How about we start with that? [a smile.] My name's Rakka.

[Hanako's nightmares are usually much worse too...and they didn't have somewhat comforting background music accompanying them. She closes her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath. It could be worse. That was pretty much the only thought that was remotely comforting at the moment.]

Hanako. [She finally responds, after a few seconds of awkward silence.]

[Hey, if the background music is doing some good now it might not be in the future... if that helps. It probably doesn't, why would she think that. Stupid!]

Hanako. [She repeats it, giving a curt nod. A light smile graces her lips.] My name's Rakka, it's a pleasure to meet you.

[A strange name? Don't worry, they get worse.]

Are... you alright? You're not hurt or anything?

[She gives a brief nod. Hanako isn't smiling, but she isn't trembling quite as much either.]

I don't think so. [She's shaken, but definitely not injured or anything.]

It's...n-nice to meet you too.

That's great. It's nice that you're not hurt when you arrive here, I think.
[It's the first thing she asks a lot of the people that show up here for the first time. It's Important.]

And, um... welcome to the world of Pokemon? Hehe...

[She probably had that speech already? or do they not do that anymore.]

You already have one, don't you?

[Hanako thinks not being hurt being a good thing should be fairly obvious.]

I'm n-not really sure. [She's been more or less stalked by something, but every time she turns to look at it, it hides.]

Oh, really? [She sounds honestly surprised.]

Normally, when you arrive here, you're given a pokemon inside a little pokeball. [Uhh, she makes the shape of a ball with her hands.] It's um, red and white?
