Graves.
Newt's hands twitched at the mention of the man and he immediately started to fiddle with his sleeves, clearing his throat as he smiled some.
"From what I understand, things..time stands still while we are here, Credence," he said slowly, hoping that he wasn't about to overwhelm this poor young man. "They will have no idea you're gone and when you do return home, it will be to the exact moment you left." If they went home. It was a very large if from what he had come to understand but that was better left unsaid.
Queenie, who had paused in her cleaning when everything started, let out a soft little twill as she watched Credence, waving at the young man. It's okay, really. Everyone is nice here!

"...is this.. magic then?"
It seemed obviously so. Credence had such conflicting thoughts on magic. Inexorably drawn to it yet taught ti be ashamed and afraid of it and its practitioners.
He startled at the noise Queenie made, pulling the coat closer around himself. His eyes glanced fearfully towards her before the instinctive drop to avoid eye contact. Forever acting submissively.
"Then.. I won't get in trouble.. did.. Is this Mr. Graves' doing? He said he would.. teach me but I'm not supposed to.. uh.."
Well, he's messed that up already hadn't he?
