All... right. I'll --
[Oh my god.]
[It's a miracle, he actually makes a noise that's borderline laughter.]
It's okay. I think I walked into that one.
[[woo :D]]
Heh, well, thanks for having a sense of humor. Even though it really wasn't pun intended.
I think I read in a guide somewhere that you might be able to find metal scraps for sale in towns too? I haven't seen any, though -- but I haven't exactly looked.

[Nah that's a lie, he likes stupid dad jokes.]
I'll take a look, next time I'm there. Sort of like having all my fingers.

I'm sure the little pal just needs to learn not to eat the hand that feeds it.
That one was a joke. Am I overdoing it? Probably.
no subject
[Aw, it's okay, he laughed a little anyway.] Don't worry, I've heard worse.
A lot worse.

Lecturing... could work? I mean, I guess the point of this place is to raise and train these guys, and behavioral training sounds like a good place to start. Guess I'm just fortunate mine has found a few berries to tide her over until I figure out what else to feed her, though.

[No one really touched on it back home, given the uh. Circumstances of it.]
Behavioral training. Do you know if there's any books on that...?
[Because something tells him smacking this guy on the nose with a newspaper won't work.]
no subject
[File sent.]
From what I can tell, you mostly train them by fighting with them? I guess it strengthens the bond between you. Which sounds useful for getting them to behave.

[He means it, even if it's... distracted. As he tries his best to gently disentangle the Aron from his fingers.]
Going out on a limb here -- [No pun intended] -- and saying they fight each other. It's not me wrestling the little guy.
no subject
[He furrows his fuzzy caterpillar brows for a moment, before his face brightens again.]
Hey, you're not too far out of New Bark, are you? We haven't tried a battle yet, and I have this old pauldron from home your little friend might find appetizing.
no subject
[Give him a sec to process.]
No, not far. Are you sure you'd be all right with that?

Is there anything you need in return?
[Because as much as he appreciates it, it seems wrong just to take the guy's armor. Or whatever it is.]
