Diana cares immensely for Jinx. And that's the problem. Everyone she's cared about hasn't met the greatest fate.

What started out as just hanging out with someone from well, work essentially, developed into a playful friendship. And when Diana noticed Jinx's crush on her the flirting just came out naturally.

But now Jinx has started noticed her 'quirks' as the actual deep seated issues they are. And she's seen the moments where she just cries. Or the nights she desperately needs to clings to someone. And Jinx has stuck around, and Diana can't thank her enough for that.

But she also hates herself for it.

Despite being older than Diana and for all her talk of being a villain, Jinx still seems really young to Diana. It's probably because of her past and how optimistic Jinx is and ready to get involved with anything but... Diana can't help feeling guilty that she's going to end up ruining this girl.

Part of her is hoping that Jinx's crush is just that, a crush she'll get over. Because yeah, Diana's pretty, but she's far too much of a broken being to be any sort of good for Jinx. And Jinx is a good person. Far too good for Diana. Villain or no villain.

But another part of her, which she feels super guilty about, is desperate for Jinx to stay with her. Jinx is her best friend and is really her closest one too with the stuff she's managed to gleam of Diana's past. And sometimes, Jinx is an indulgence for Diana. Someone who lets her imagine for a moment that she's normal teenager with a normal teenage friend and not a total monster.
