Hey! Hey!

[The voice calls out from somewhere a little further back down the road. The source a small girl with long purple hair running full tilt to catch up with the person she'd spotted walking down the road minding their own business.

When she catches up, she pauses for a moment, leaning over to catch her breath before straightening up and grinning wide.]

You're a trainer, right? Awesome! [No, she's not even waiting for an answer.] Hey, wanna have a battle? I'm new around here but I've been dying to try it out!

Uh...?

[The good news is, Rakka's not too terribly fast, the bad news being she was right in the middle of feeding her Dodrio a few pokepuffs.]

A battle, now? Well... [She looks to her starter Pokemon, only one of the three heads seems to be paying any sort of attention, and gives an always-helpful squawk.] I guess I could give it a go, but I don't battle very much.

[It's the Dodrio that went ahead and gave her away, yeah. She gives the bird a curious look, what a crazy creature, before turning to Rakka again.]

Oh, that's cool, I'm still getting the hang of it myself. [She shrugs once before blinking.] Oh, we don't have to start right away. I don't mind waiting until you finish feeding your Pokemon if you want.

Oh, really? Thank you, I... [Was just in the middle of that. Whoops. She does get back to it almost immediately, not wanting to let this girl wait forever on her.

Her Dodrio continue to scarf down pokepuffs until they're gone, and while they're sorting that whole thing out, she turns back.]

...Uh, did your Pokemon want any?

Yeah, sure, take your time.

[As eager as she is to get to a battle, she doesn't mind waiting a little bit. She just kind of barrel in here.]

Thanks, but [she tilts her head, grinning a little] if we're about to battle, I kinda want to keep my team a surprise.

...Oh.

[Not... really something she ever considers. Shows her that much.]

I understand. That's just fine with me. [She looks back. Dodrio has finally managed to finish their meal, without bickering that much on top of it. Seems like it's going to be a nice day.]

Well, it looks like they're done. [She smiles.] Do you want to start now?
