It's nice to meet you, thank you for responding so quickly! Actually, there's quite a lot I'd like to do some research on, including this Solosis. I don't suppose there's some kind of public transport I could take to get to the library quicker, like a bus or train?
[She hadn't seen any signs for public transport anywhere, but that didn't necessarily mean there wasn't any.]
[She frowned, biting her lip.]
Given your response, I take it that there have been a few...instances of people arriving unexpectedly?

[Advanced communication and teleportation, but no weapons or paved roads between cities.]
On a regular schedule, even. There are under a hundred people from other worlds here, at a rough count, but that number fluctuates weekly.

But...I mean, there seems to be some sophisticated technology here wherever here is. It's surprising that there aren't better services for travel.
[She sighs. Well, nothing to be done about that right now. Priorities, Hermione, priorities.]
You seem to know a bit about this place Ms...er...? [Hermione suddenly feels rude for not asking this lady's name earlier.]
Are you a native or did a similar thing happen to you?
If this has been happening for a while, surely there must be some kind of explanation or investigation into this. I mean, people just don't appear in a completely different world for no reason.
[Even being a witch, that's a sentence Hermione never expected to be saying.]

[There's even background music.]
Just Missy is fine, Miss Granger. I appeared here one day under highly similar circumstances.
And you're completely correct, there is almost always a reason when people are kidnapped across space and time. Unfortunately the actual 'why' of our situation is still a mystery, despite efforts to the contrary.

[A pause, and Hermione looks around her briefly before turning back to the camera.]
Are you saying that this is an artificial reality? None of this is real?
[Hermione just assumed someone was playing music EXTREMELY loudly. Everything looked and felt so real. Was this some kind of elaborate spell she hadn't heard of?]
no subject
[Does that make them tourists or part of the attractions?]
An entirely virtual world would certainly explain some of the eccentricities of this place, but I can't confirm that with any certainty.
And not originally, but I've certainly spent a great deal of time in Britain.

So, theoretically that means that it's likely only my subconscious here, rather than my body.
That seems pretty...elaborate. I mean, what's the purpose? Is it some kind of social experiment? Because if it is just you wait until the authorities find the person responsible for this mess. You need to sign permission forms and go through all sorts of psychological testing before you get put into something even remotely like this, and I certainly did no such thing.
Well, in any case, if it's a virtual world, then that means that there's a back door. Where there's a way in there must be a way out. We just have to find it.
[Oh yeah, it's Library Time!]

[Or it really is just an elaborate freak accident of rifts in time and space, but Missy's not one to believe in accidents.]
Virtual or real, there's always an exit, for those capable of finding it and willing to use it. The apparently random nature of arrivals and departures just makes it rather more difficult than it might be.
