SURPRISE
[And, you know, also probably Hunk. Because in their path is, abruptly, a massive Aggron. Who may have just stepped out of the trees, or materialized or something. Either way, it's there and growling at the oncoming delinquents.]
[No sooner does Hunk pass the Aggron, than something purple and leering poofs into existence beside it. Wearing a bandanna around its head, and folding stubby arms. An Aggron, and now a Gengar, blocking the road for the pursuers.]
MAKE IT DOUBLE
Seeing the two of them, Hunk's heart lightens considerable. If that pair is here, then that can only mean their trainer is close by. Sure enough, once he's made his way past them he spots that familiar streak of white and black and cries out a sound a relief.]
Shiro!! Oh, thank crow, I'm so happy to see you!
no subject
[Please wait just a moment, Hunk. He's doing his best to drag a reluctant Marowak out of hiding in the bushes. Come on buddy there's three thugs and you have to train sometime.]
-- you can thank Skarmory, actually. [Haunter the Gengar scoffs.] Oh yeah. And Haunter.
Are you okay?
no subject
[Because then Shiro would know he spent the entire day slacking off. No training. Or working on his breeding projects. Nothing remotely productive outside.
Shay finally manages to wriggle free. With an excited yip, she bounds over to Shiro and his Marowak. Hello friends!]
no subject
[As the pokemon in question proceed to do epic pokemon battle with the thugs' pokemon. It probably says something to how much Shiro trusts them that he doesn't even bother commanding them.]
[Has he been following Hunk?] No, we were training, before we head back to the house -- Skarmory heard you yelling.
no subject
Ahh, that's good. I mean, good that Skarmory heard me. 'Cause yeah, you know, I'm not really great at battling... still....
[He could be if he trained and practiced.]
no subject
If you're still not comfortable, we could practice together. My younger ones could use it.
[Namely, his Eevee and Mimikyu.]
no subject
I guess that's probably a good idea. Maybe once Kuro and... Haunter are finished toasting up bad dudes, we can work on that?
[Shay is blissfully unaware of any talk about training. Instead, the Rockruff is focused on trying to get the bone Shiro's Marowak is holding. It looks tasty.]
no subject
[Yeah, and Haunter also refuses to be called anything other than "it". Mostly because Haunter thinks "it" sounds more mysterious.]
[Moving on, however, he nods.]
Sure, we can. They should be done in a minute. [As Yellow, the Marowak, yelps, and ducks behind Shiro.]
no subject
Hey, Shay, stop that! Leave poor Yellow alone!
[It still feels weird calling the skull wearing creature Yellow. Namely because Yellow is a huge, mechanical cat. His huge, mechanical cat that he misses quite a bit. Of course, he rarely dwells on the fact that naming his Rockruff after his sweet, admirable alien rock not-girlfriend girl friend is also probably kind of weird.
However, Shay doesn't seem that keen to listen to her trainer. Instead she continues to harass poor Yellow, following after him as he tries to hide. Groaning softly, Hunk gets down on his knees and grabs for her, pulling her away despite all her wiggling.]
You are being a very bad rock puppy right now, missy!
no subject
Easy! She's not going to hurt you! You two are the same type, even!
[As he does his best to step between the excited puppy and his Marowak. That seems like it's the best option right now -- get between them, block them like you would any other pair of overly excited animals.]
Maybe we should skip battle training and work on "sit" or "stay!"
[Finally, the poor Marowak scampers away. Literally climbing up Kuro's back and huddling behind the Aggron's crest as Kuro lumbers back from victory.]
no subject
She's not usually this bad, I promise! I think all the excitement just has her a bit riled up.
[Pushing himself up, he casts a very stern look at the Rockruff in his arms. Her ears fall, and she whines softly. Before he can properly chastise her, he feels, and hears, Kuro's approach. Looking over his shoulder at the hulking pokemon, Hunk glances back to the thoroughly beaten thugs who are running off.]
That was pretty fast. Your team is really good, Shiro.
no subject
[Especially if she gets bigger... like a lot of smaller pokemon do. Just look at Kuro, for example. The big guy was smaller than his forearm when he'd got him.]
[Speaking of which, the Aggron is apparently none worse the wear for dealing with the problem. And neither is Haunter, who does some cartwheels on its way back over.]
We've been working together since I got here. They've trained a lot to be where they are.
no subject
It definitely shows. You're an awesome trainer.
[Turning back to Shiro, he smiles, holding Shay up a little bit more. She gives a quiet bark.]
Hopefully you can train us too. Although, I think this will be a lot easier than our Voltron stuff.
no subject
[He reaches out, offering Shay his hand to sniff before reaching to rub her ears.]
Shay can even practice her moves against Kuro. His defense is high enough to where she won't hurt him -- and he's got a lot of non-offensive moves to work on, too.
[See, Hunk? He's already got this planned out.]
