...well maybe upgrade is the wrong word. It didn't exactly make us more effective all the time.

Fushimi lounged in the Pokemon center, looking everything the bored teenager. He rolled a Pokeball to and fro under one boot, chin propped as he taps at his gear.

Fushimi! The old woman.

His Rotom's message crossed the screen then quick as a flash, it shot across, zipping over into the woman's gear. A connection blinked across Fushimi's gear and the Pokedollars started transferring.

This wasn't his only intention though. He taps idly, as information darts across the screen. He taps the screen on the one he wanted. Level 75 Charizard.

Initiating trade!

Code flies across, the trade bar extending then--

ERROR

There was an angry spark from the woman's gear which startled everyone. Fushimi taps the release button on the ball under his boot, rolling it forward. Bursting out was a Spearow which kicked up a wild gust.

As everyone covers their eyes from the whipping winds the Rotom zips back unseen, bouncing off the Pokeball for Fushimi to catch it.

They were out the door and followed shortly by the Spearow which returned to its ball.

Sorry, Fushimi! The code should have--

"Tch. Doesn't matter. We'll try again later."

[Network]

[A Rotom floats into fram, causing Fushimi's hair to static up slowly]

[ Fushimi glances over before his eyes roll to the side and he clucks his tongue. He would need to work on the execution of that trick. The point was to not get caught. ]

Neither. Just bored. Not like there's a lot to do around here.

[He tilts his head, his pokemon mimicking the gesture.]

[So no pleasure from it. It wasn't a job. Unless he was being lied to, but there was always the people who did things like that out of boredom. True he was more used to analyzing murders but ~~Madder Red had been part of the entire criminal underground.~~ there didn't seem to be those here.]

It took me a while to think up a name for her. The name....doesn't quite fit but I decided that we all need motivation. So meet Ramira. I named her after the boss.

[Internally, Fushimi's eyes were rolling back into his head. He hadn't realized this was going to lead into a full blown conversation.

This is what happened when you extended mild politeness.]

[The Rotom zips forward, ignoring Fushimi's social cues. It was going to introduce itself regardless of what Fushimi wanted.]

[He'd bring up his gear but he'd gotten yelled at a few time for doing that to strangers pokemon. Weird, must be a social thing.]

After Fushimi made his way out another figure stepped out, absently opening up an umbrella and resting it over his shoulder to block the sun. At his side stood an Absol with a red tie around his neck that one might see on a school outfit, double looped rather than tied properly in a bow. On the young man's shoulder was a very small Emolga that was watching everything very curiously.

"Fushimi, right?" Shiro called out, free hand in his pocket as he absently twirled his umbrella, smiling in a casual, friendly manner.

A Rotom!

[ He zips to and fro to show off his electrical prowess. See? He wasa good Pokemon.

Fushimi clicks his tongue again, shifting his weight to his opposite leg. He was leaning a bit away from the man now. ]

It's easier to just use the gear.

Oh, I'll show you!

[Jungle flashes into Fushimi's gear and it soon is a Rotomdex, floating up to present itself.]

[Then Jungle plays the Rotom entry for the man, smiling all the while.

Not quite what Fushimi meant.]

Fushimi pauses, turning halfway to see who was talking to him. Ah, well would you look at that. He turns full now, hands spreading in a shrug.

"Ooh? So you're alive after all. Is this where you came to hide out?"

Not that Scepter 4 was chasing after him anymore. Helped that the boy was believed to be dead. Or should he say man?

Jungle sparks and zips over to the Emolga, offering a few sparks in greeting.

"Hello! Want to play?"
