It... certainly is quite different. It's taken a lot of getting used to, but I don't think I mind it. What about you?
no subject
Hmm, I find it rather agreeable. [ better than bein' fuckin dead lmao ] Surprisingly, I've managed to pick up quite a few of these Pokemon.
[ The Cubone, which has been clinging to Akechi's leg the whole time, peeks around at Haru. ]
This was the one I started with. A Cubone.

[Her eyes light up in delight as she shifts the Mimikyu again and crouches down to get a better look. She stands back up when she's satisfied.]
And this one here is the one I've started with--my Mimikyu, Hydrangea.
[The Mimikyu squeaks shyly and presses closer to Haru before finally offering a wave.]
no subject
[ He gives Hydrangea a wave. ]
It seems quite attached to you.
no subject
Quite adorable, don't you think? Hydrangea's a little timid, but quite the sweetheart... if a bit mischievous when comfortable. And quite fond of attention.

[There's a few differences, obviously, but the two of them have to rely on these Pokemon, much like they had to rely on Personas.]
They're about as varying as Shadows, too, wouldn't you say?
no subject
[ hmmm. Probably not. ]
They are rather more friendly than Shadows, though.
no subject
[... Anyway--]
Most certainly! And easier to deal with, if you ask me.
no subject
[ ... because, actually, there's an Eevee trotting over to look up curiously at Haru. ]
He's quite the handful.
no subject
[She shifts Hydrangea to one arm so she can kneel down and offer her hand to the Eevee for the Normal-type to investigate.]
no subject
[ The Eevee gives Haru's hand a sniff... then gently headbutts her hand while giving a trill. Akechi can't help but let out a quiet laugh. ]
I really did name you well, Joker.
[ Oh.
Rest in heck. ]
no subject
... Her smile may have widened when she heard the nickname, but she's... mercifully(?) not saying anything.]
They really are interesting. To tell you the truth, this is the first time I've gotten to see one up close like this.
no subject
Meanwhile, Joker looks absolutely thrilled with the attention. ]
I'm sure he'll let you see him up close all you'd like. He thrives on attention.
[ Joker is, very likely, on his way to being a Sylveon. ]
no subject
[Haru, please.
Hydrangea squeaks a little before unwinding one of her limbs from Haru's neck to also give Joker scratches, mimicking her trainer.]
no subject
[ Joker gives his trainer a look that basically says "bullshit" before leaning into Hydrangea's scritches. ]
It seems they're on their way to being fast friends.
no subject
It certainly seems so! I'd almost be a little sad to separate them...
[So cute...]
What others have you picked up, if you don't mind me asking?
no subject
And, really, he does agree with her. But he won't admit that. ]
I'd say it's more that they've picked me up. So far, aside from these two, I've acquired a Deerling and a Purrloin.
no subject
Definitely very cute...]
They wouldn't leave you alone until you caught them, is that it?
[Heh.]
I've managed to find a Murkrow and a Flabébé myself.
no subject
[ And then he nicknamed them. He didn't have to. But he sure did that. ]
Oh, really? [ .... Murkrow, huh. ] I don't think I'm familiar with Flabébé.
no subject
Would you like to meet her, in that case?
no subject
no subject
Her name is Amaranth.
[And just as soon as the Flabébé has her bearings, she wanders right up to say hello! A new human, how exciting--]
