[ So, Akechi's been here a good while, and he's gathered enough info to have several questions. It's fairly late at night, but he's sure that won't deter anyone from answering. It's a serious issue, after all. ]

If you could change one thing about this place, what would it be? Personally, the music can be quite grating, especially when one is trying to think. Usually, I wouldn't complain, but I'm not one to appreciate my thoughts' being interrupted.

More than that, however, I've been--like most of you, I'm sure--inconvenienced by these Team Rocket members. Many of them are easy enough to defeat in battle, and yet they're particularly tenacious. It's annoying, isn't it? I imagine there's been action taken to hinder their activities, but they keep causing trouble for everyone here. But for every few weakling grunts, there are several stronger ones. It's interesting, isn't it?

... Pardon me, I rambled a bit there. Impressive feat, considering this is only text. Essentially what I'm getting at is if one were to go about taking care of the issue, how would you suggest doing so?

I realize it's a risk openly defying such a group of people, and I'm effectively painting a target on my back. But the risk will be well worth the reward, don't you think?

[It's a little surprising, being brought here all of a sudden. Things don't seem too terrible, at the very least, so it's not like she's going to be complaining either, but then she's approached.

I actually quite like the music! It makes things so very festive and lively, and at night it can be somewhat soothing. It helps me fall asleep, and as I start to wake up, it filters through my ears and helps reassure me that I SHALL awaken.

I cannot say I have met any of these members of "Team Rocket" as of yet. Perhaps that is for the best.

Though, what probably drew you over is the smell of someone cooking--it's not the grandest set-up but it's delicious-smelling and the cook is sitting nearby. At the moment, she's got her nose buried in the breeding guide when she's not waiting for the food, but if she hears someone approach, she'll snap to attention.]

I have seen individuals charge between 500 and 2000 for their wares, depending upon the scarcity of the creatures.

The pokemoney here is like yen back in my own world, so I usually have it set at 500, that's easy enough to come by for everyone.

But honestly I don't like charging for the eggs, since I started my business I don't have a need for it anymore and it seems...exploitative? To charge for someone's offspring. That's only my view on it.

[It had been a long time since she'd had a chance to take a leisurely walk anywhere. It was actually kind of nice looking at the strange animals here, watching them, without having to hurry around. Though there was a slight disturbance.

And that was in the form of the Sneasel on her shoulder crouching and extending it's claws. Mikasa's already reaching to it, letting it nuzzle her hand.]

Leave them alone.

[The 'cat' squeaks back, then it turns, ducking to cling even more. Then it's hissing a jumping down pointing at the passerby. Mikasa can only stare at it and sigh.]

...Stop trying to pick fights.

[The gear starts recording for a few seconds before she says anything. There's a blink, a slight incline of the head before she's sure it's on.]

What are we supposed to be doing here? Collecting badges?

I guess so. That'd be my best guess. [ a pause. ] I think they want us to keep on challenging other trainers and grow as strong as we can.

[There is a bit of a crack to his voice, all disbelief and uncertainty.]

[Is that who Sasha thinks it is? The voice matches (the face is a little off from what Sasha remembers), but after not really seeing anybody new from home in over a year, Sasha's thrown for a little bit of a loop.

But that loop doesn't last long before she's shoving her face into the gear's camera and calling out in a way too loud, maybe too excited voice.]

Or. Well. Most of his weapons? He's really not sure what to make of his new friend, but a sword with personality isn't exactly new to him. Whatever the deal is with it, it seems content to stick around.]

[Arriving in town after at least a week of walking should be the perfect time to kick back and relax for a while, right? Well, somebody please inform this idiot, who walks in from a long journey off Route 31 and immediately starts jogging around the City with the energy of a six-year-old on Red Bull. Twice. And then starts a third round. Even his Honedge is starting to lag behind him despite not having to, you know, walk.]

Come on, Sick Floaty Sword! Get your blood flowing -- or, oil, or whatever you have!

[He busts up laughing at his own horrible joke, without even slowing his pace. Meanwhile, Honedge is withering away. Please, for the love of everything, think of the poor Pokemon.]

[Craig has quickly gotten familiar enough with the PokeGear to broadcast, though he still looks very out of place in... an honest to god full suit of armor, sans helmet. And he hasn't really come to terms with Pokemon, which is obvious enough when he opens his stupid mouth.]

Listen. I know horses like the back of my hand, but donkeys can't be that different, right? Except --

[The video shifts as he turns the camera toward a rather irritated looking Mudbray with its snout in the ground.] -- I can't get mine to stop eating dirt! Now, I know that can't be good for it.

[The feed trembles as he shakes his dented fist in and out of the corner.] I'm trying to help you, you know! Stop biting me!

[She hasn't exactly "come to terms" with the fact that the Crusader has, somehow, managed to follow her onto some unknown planet. She isn't convinced that this wasn't his fault in the first place. Leave it to him to maroon them with more wildlife than she had seen in her entire life.]

[But, with all that said, she can't help but smile. She hides it behind a hand and doesn't dare start her own feed until she's sobered up, but there was a smile all the same.]

[The video centers on Connie in her tent. Rain pelts against the canvas, and the sound is almost soothing despite the severity of the storm. In the background, a Ralts wielding a stick "spars" with a Honedge, while a Litleo bats at the Honedge's sash.]

This is kind of an odd request, but does anybody have comprehensive knowledge of every Pokemon move and ability? I've been studying hard for my Gym trials, and in my experience it pays to know exactly what you should expect before you walk into a battle. That split second between the enemy trainer calling out the move and the Pokemon performing it could mean victory if you know what's going to happen! Listening to the chattering of wild Pokemon isn't conducive to learning the names of the attacks that come flying at you in a battle, aaand the 'dex isn't being particularly helpful in that regard either.

Anyways, my point is that I'd really appreciate it if somebody could quiz me on this stuff. Just toss the move names at me and gauge my response time. And if I'm correct or not, obviously.

[Despite the roar of the pounding rain, Connie sits on a boulder beside Route 34, spraying her Pokemon with Potions. She's clearly been at this for a while: her pants and shoes are splattered with mud, her entire outfit is absolutely soaked, and her usually-neat hair has come undone from its bob. Still, though, she's not quite willing to turn in yet.

Connie has a Gym Challenge to train for, after all! With her current lineup, she'll be obliterated by both Falkner and Brock. And it would be so embarrassing to lose to those guys, of all people. She needs to find a Pokemon someone would be willing to trade for something more equipped to deal with Rock, Ground, Flying, Dark, and Normal types, cash to buy TMs and stones for her Ralts when it evolves into a Kirlia, more supplies, and food she is unbelievably hungry, and...

Her eyes widen when somebody with Pokeballs on their hip passes by. Oh, no. Connie needs to battle to train her Pokemon and get cash, but she's not finished with recovering from her last fight yet and-]

Gah! Hold on for just a sec and let me finish up here. It's been, uh. It's been a rough day. [Connie scrambles to finish treating the tatters in her Honedge's sash and the scratches and bruises on her Litleo and Ralts. She yawns, fighting off exhaustion.]

[Behold the Goldenrod Christmas market. Despite December starting on a bit of a dark note, by now the market is in full swing and all the sellers seem determined to make up for the miserable start of the month. There are bright lights and twinkling Christmas trees everywhere. Stalls stand side to side, each offering something more incredible than the next. There are food stalls a plenty, the smells drifting from them enough to make even the most well-fed person feel like they are starving. There are stalls specialising in battle items, trainers having heated discussions in front of them about which held item to pick. And then there are the various gift stalls -- everything from scarves to books to jewellery to toys can be found right here and purchased for that perfect Christmas eve celebration.

And among all of that is a little boy. He looks about ten, though it is a little hard to properly see his face wrapped up as it is in a thick scarf and a pom-pom hat. He stands at the edge of the christmas market, eyes wide as he stares around, barely even able to decide what to look at because it is all so incredible. A little Lillipup dashes around his feet, barking like mad and dashing in and out of the snow. He's normally a much better behaved pup, really! But all the excitement is just... well, it's very exciting.]

Is this... what a christmas market is like?


[B. Action]

[The scene is still Goldenrod, but rather than the Christmas Market, it's one of the city's parks now. It's the perfect place for many of the city's children to enjoy the thick layer of snow that has fallen. Snowmen, women and children have popped out of the ground like mushrooms during fall. One of the hills has been determined to be prime sledding material and happy cheers and laughter drift over it as kids zip down the slope.

One boy sits a bit apart of it, sitting on one of the park benches, a small Lillipup sitting on it besides him. He's watching the other children, leaning forward just a bit as if he'd like nothing more than to dash off the bench and join their fun, but nevertheless he remains seated. It's just that... he doesn't know how this works. He doesn't know how to approach the other children or how to play their games. How does one build a snowman? How do you sled? He just doesn't know and he doesn't know if he ever knew to begin with.

The Lillipup glances from the playing children to the child next to him, finally laying a small paw on the child's leg.]


[C. Network]

[A small boy peers into the camera. He's got brown hairs and dark eyes, and looks to be about ten years old. Very tiny. Very small.]

Uhm, I have a question.

When a mom and a dad have a baby, how do they pick a name? There are so many names out there. How do they know they are picking the right one?

[Perhaps not the sort of question you expect out of a ten year old, but from the earnest and serious way he's peering into the camera, it's clear that this question, for whatever reason, is very important to him.]

[It's late at night and your eyes may be drawn to a young blonde woman in a cowboy hat staggering down the street. Stumbling like a newborn deer, she carefully takes one step at a time, knees trembling and buckling as she continues this never-ending struggle against gravity. A tiny, berry-shaped creature bounces in circles around her, letting out a number of concerned squeaks.

At first glance, you might think this woman to be heavily intoxicated. No one walks like that unless it's their first day on two legs. But when she stops to address the pokemon, her words are surprisingly coherent, draped in a heavy southern accent.]

I dunno what you're complaining about. [She pauses to brace herself against the brick wall behind her.] I can't just bounce around town like you can.

[Maybe her feet weren't planted right, or maybe her pushoff was a little overzealous, but when the woman goes to move away from the wall she ends up flat on her face. She'll lay there, groaning for a second before sitting back up, hands balled into fists with frustration written on her face. Maybe you approach her willingly after she falls, or maybe she turns in your direction to ask for help.]

Hey, give a gal a hand, won't you Sugarcube?

I've about had it up to here with pokemon sneaking into my orchard and eating my crops. It's bad enough that harvest yields are low this time of year, but how in the hay am I going to turn a profit when every time I turn around another bushel's got half a dozen Applin making themselves at home?

Reckon I might just go get some fairy types do patrols, or something.

It's Canterlot High that's to credit for her ability to brace herself properly as she helps Applejack to her feet.]
