That hiss probably should have concerned her more than it did, she's not even flinching and is merely rolling her eyes at his whole little spiel. Honestly, she doesn't really care what he does or doesn't do, but she's bored and he's being stupid, thus free game for her.

"This isn't where you're from, sweetheart, or did you not get that little memo? Those berries don't look like anything I've ever seen before and, given some of the looks I got, this sure isn't where I'm from." She doesn't know where he's from, but that's anything but important to her.

"If you had such a great sense of smell then wouldn't you have smelled me and wouldn't have been surprised?" She has your number, Diego.

"I was focused on the berries." He states, as if this was so terribly obvious that he shouldn't even have to explain it. "And don't call me sweetheart... it's liable to make my dead wife roll over in her grave." He huffs. Right, like the old lady had wanted anything more than some cute young thing to hold her hand as she wasted away. Not that he was about to complain.

"What exactly is you purpose here? It couldn't be to warn me about the berries, or you would have spoken up before it was eaten." He said, acting quite relaxed, though in reality he was ready for a fight... though he regretted the loss of Scary Monsters... hopefully that meant whatever her power was equally gone from her.

Oh good grief, she can't help but laugh, hiding her mouth behind the back of her hand. It's really more like a bad villain, but that's just something she's always done. "Oh my god, you think I mean that seriously! I don't have any interest in you, darling, so don't you worry your head about that any. I'm not into stupid blonds, after all~" And of course she'd try and go for the throat again almost immediately. It's to be expected from her.

Especially given she's just watching him casually still and standing her ground.

"Merely wondering what you were up to and if you really were stupid enough to try eating those berries. Seems I was right on that guess. And you getting all pissy and flustered at me is absolutely hilarious. Some of the best entertainment I've had in this place thus far, congratulations~"

When she calls him darling he brings a hand up to his mouth as if covering it before he can be ill, his face looking very undignified along with it. "Stop with the lovers names, I beg of you... I might just be ill." He says, acting as if there is a bad taste in his mouth. "Congratulations for not being an absolute narcissus." He's spent his life dodging petty digs at him, hers is hardly one to land.

"Good grief, what sort of alien old timeline do you come from where darling is still considered something only for lovers?" The disgust in her voice is absolutely clear as she's pursing her lips, not seeming particularly keen on being accused of something she didn't do or mean.

"It's meant to be condescending but I suppose that won't work on someone who is clearly from somewhere too old and ignorant to understand that fact. How boring and droll your life must have been. What did you do for fun before ending up here?" She's almost being serious in that question, because it's little things she can easily starting digging into if given half an opportunity to do so.

"A proper and decent one." He grins a bit, allowing his slightly wider than normal mouth to show off a bit. "But really if you want to be condescending, you really ought to try harder... consider it a challenge." He says with a smirk.

"After all, you clearly didn't have much to entertain yourself with in your home, or such petty words wouldn't be your go to." He comments back, arching a brow in response, teasing her and intentionally trying to see what could get under her skin in return.

Oh, she's just giving him a thin-lipped smile in turn and even if her ears are a lot shorter here than they ought to be, there's the slightest hint of the tip twitching. How weird.

"Generally I'd just torture them instead, but I don't have that luxury here, unfortunately. I'm sure you noticed the lack of... abilities, shall we say?" She doesn't have to make people suffer, but it's so much more fun if she still tries.

"Nor do I find you particularly worth my effort and I'm really growing dreadfully bored the longer you speak. Though I will say, that whole mouth thing you have going on there isn't particularly attractive. Or scary." She's seen worse. She's been worse, thank you very much. And she's spent enough time around humans and humanoids to know what is and is not normal.

He shrugged a bit, acting as casually as possible. "I don't know what else you are lacking, but I am missing nothing that I had before." he says, since she didn't seem to know for certain about his stand, maybe he could act as if he did have everything from before.

"Yes well... fortunately there's no one here with looking attractive for. I'll remember that when I'm around someone who matters."
