Entrapta | She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
"Log, day... eight. Seven? No, eight. I have found myself in a city known as Olivine."
The young woman, wearing a welder's mask pushed back off her face, leans against the railing as she talks into her handheld recorder, rather than her Pokegear. Her purple twin ponytails are thick and long, dragging along the ground behind her as the Impidimp with her uses one to scramble up to her shoulder; she doesn't seem bothered by this action whatsoever, even giving the little Fairy a small smile.
"It bears superficial resemblance to the kingdom of Salineas, but otherwise the architecture is aesthetically unlike anything I've encountered on Etheria."
Nonetheless, her tone of voice is excited. She puts both feet on the railing, lifting herself into the air; she's just tall enough that standing on the lowest rung puts her hips higher than the top.
"The predominant species of local creatures, or Pokemon, appears to be Water and Electric types in this area, due to the presences of both the sea and-- oh, hello!"
Her face lights up as a Klink drifts up towards her and away again, and she leans over the railing to stare after it, reaching a hand out to try and pat it--
--and overbalancing over the edge of the Olivine City Lighthouse guard rail with a sharp cry of alarm.

Then she beams at him. "Thanks, tall person! Isn't this place just a great vantage point?" Her shoulders bunch cheerfully as she tilts her head - it almost seems like she wants to stick her arms out with delight, but something stops her. "You can see all of Olivine City!"

The Impidimp in her hair is gripping into it tightly, and still looks somewhat shaken; but despite this, it's watching Steven warily.

She hands over the recorder immediately. The Impidimp climbs up her hair and onto her head, looking through the front of Entrapta's mask curiously, before it sits legs splayed and looks back out at the view.

Eventually, once it's done playing, he hands it back to her.
"Thank you," he says. "I enjoyed that."
no subject
"Thanks!" She takes his back and starts bouncing her hands around as she talks. "I haven't had much of a chance to really engage with all of the technical sides of this place just yet, but the Pokemon have been fascinating! Some of those Steel types look like they're a perfect blend of technology and organic matter, I can't wait to see if one of them will let me examine it more closely!" One hand dips into an unassuming seam that turns out to be a pocket and she whips out an uncovered scalpel with aplomb. "They're incredible!"

(She's wonderful.)
"I never quite thought of it that way," Steven admits, "but I haven't done much with the mechanical sort of Pokemon. The closest I've come to one of those is my floating magic key-ring. But you're right-- there is potential there, real potential."
She's not Charley. She's older. Too much hair. Shorter. Wrong eyes. But that look of passion in her eyes, that glee in knowing-- they remind him so much of his sister that it takes his breath away.
"I'm Steven," he says, suddenly, realizing he never properly introduced himself.

She stands there, gleeful and excited with a light tilt of her head. It takes her a few seconds to remember, with a small noise, and she sticks one hand out to shake. "Technically I'm a princess, but since Dryl doesn't exist I don't imagine I have much authority here."
argh that steve should have been steven

Her Type: Null watches from a short distance away, sparkling in the light.

There's a shuffling of one giant ponytail, that the woman seems to be ignoring, and an Impidimp pokes out its head and one arm a moment later with a relieved sigh.
no subject
The Type: Null seems to be a bit closer now, although it doesn't appear to have otherwise moved.

"Oh. My. Gosh. Who's this beauty?" She's very nearly pushing past Cassandra to take the helmet in both hands, bouncing around on her toes as best she can to examine the Pokemon properly. "Hello, there! I'm Entrapta!" Said very much to the Type: Null, rather than Cassandra.
no subject
Unfortunately, the Type: Null is, and it immediately jerks out of Entrapta's hold, backing away and emitting something like a growl. Cassandra grimaces, moving towards the Pokemon herself in hopes of calming it. "This is Blade," she tells the woman. "It's a Type: Null... I think humans create them in labs? Or created them, at least. It... doesn't really like being grabbed onto like that."

"I'm not really sure how they do it." And honestly, she's not sure she wants to know; it would probably bring back memories, and while losing herself in the pain of those memories won't make her Awaken here, it would still be unpleasant at best, and make Blade and the others worry besides.

She certainly seems... passionate, about her work.

She pulls her hands out from behind her back, but instead of touching Blade she instead grabs one of her ponytails and drags it over her shoulder in front of her. "I've, uh. I would also like to be able to use my hair again. I miss that."
no subject
She vaguely remembers catching a glimpse of another warrior using her hair in battle while she'd been fighting Roxanne, so the idea of someone being able to manipulate her own hair isn't quite so confusing. "This place makes everyone human," she says, "with a human's normal capabilities. It's... disorienting."

A pair of hands grabs at the back of Entrapta's shirt, but. Double Trouble is not built for actual non-staged heroics. So now, the upside is at least that Entrapta is not going over the guard rail alone. Fortunately, what Double is is limber, and they manage to catch the railing with their legs before the two of them tumble over completely.
"Okay! Okay, scene didn't go quite as planned. No problem, this is what improv's all about."
Really, if it weren't for their imminent deaths this would practically be perfect, probably maybe.
"Just roll with it, you're good at that kind of thing right? ...But whatever you do try to do it quick, this is really astonishingly painful and having to drop you would mean a lot of inconvenient explanations if anyone saw."
