[The species change sure does throw someone for a loop. At the moment, all he sees is a new arrival needing assistance. And where there's someone on the network needing a hand, Shiro's there.]

[No uh. Pun intended.]

Unfortunately, species changing seems to happen regularly when people wake up here. From what we know, one of the more powerful creatures in this place has the ability to summon sentient beings from all different realities. We haven't been able to locate it, or verify whether or not that's true. That's the going theory for as long as I've been here.

[He does smile, though, at the Poochyena.]

Having the pokemon around helps a lot, with adjusting.

Shiro might not recognize Ulaz, but Ulaz definitely recognized Shiro]

Shiro. It is good to see you here as well.

[A familiar face among all of this insanity of adjusting to being a different species. He glanced over at Poochyena for a moment]

They do seem to help, yes.

[While Poochyena were supposed to be at least attempt aggressiveness, this one at least seemed to like Ulaz enough already. Maybe it figured best to be friends with the tall human rather than try to pick a fight]

[Whatever he's expecting, recognition isn't it. The last time he'd been in his home universe had been five years ago now. He hesitates to respond, frowning, trying to place something here.]

[The voice. That's a familiar voice.]

I - I know you.

[But from where? And how?]

[Well, the new appearance was clearly throwing people off as to who he was. Mentally he sighed, not because it was Shiro's fault for not recognizing, but because this might be a frequent problem with people from their world]

Ulaz.

[If he'd been holding anything right then, he'd have dropped it. So it's probably a good thing he isn't. Instead, he just stares at the screen, trying to process the information, trying to say an actual word instead of stunned silence.]

You're - [No, that's a sentence aborted immediately. Of course he's alive, he's talking, he's here. No one dies here.] Sorry, I - it's good to see you.

[You know, not super dead and all.]

[He honestly wouldn't have heard something drop. He was fully aware of his own situation. He lowered Poochyena back down, the pokemon making a noise as though wondering why Ulaz had put her down]

I have a feeling what you were intending to say. I am surprised as well. I don't understand it.

[Not like he could have changed his mind at that point...]

It is good to see you as well.

It's... this place. It pulls people in from all timelines. All moments in time.

[But it would be very, very nice if Arceus or whoever would give people a warning before it went and pulled these kinds of stunts.]

Does it? That is very strange. I have not even considered that such a thing was possible, especially in the situation that I was in.

You're admittedly not even the first one of the Blade to wake up here like this. But... he's probably already contacted you, I'm assuming.

We should meet at some point. [It had only been a few moments for him, but he still wanted to see how Shiro is faring.

Poochyena made more noises from out of frame and Ulaz picked her up again so he she could be seen. She was happy with this]

Good. He's pretty on top of things.

[Not surprising, all things considered, but still. Best someone more familiar with the whole "suddenly human" thing assists - also the uh. "Suddenly no longer deceased."]

Yeah. Yeah, we should. [Maybe he can properly say some things he needs to say, then.] We live mostly out on the Islands - tropical, near the observatory. But, I can get just about anywhere with a pokemon these days.

[He can't help it, the Poochyena gets a little wave.] Be nice to meet her, too.

He is. I would have been surprised if he wasn't.

[Since they were both Blades, he was a little biased about the abilities of other Blades just on the whole. Also he knew what Thace was capable of]

That sounds like it would be a nice place to see. It has been a long time since I have been anywhere other than space. It will be good to see what this world has. I will be able to get there at some point.

[Poochyena was a very small traveling companion and so far his only one. She did wag her tail just a bit when Shiro waved to her]
