It's been a while since we had one of these, so lets all gather for a nice little CR meme.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

Cliffnotes: Allura is a space elf lion princess from a mechanic anime reboot, currently takin a break from freeing the universe from a ten-thousand-year-old evil empire and suppressing the trauma of losing her planet to catch Pokémon and just enjoy being a space-elf-teenage girl… and only *slightly* suppressing her trauma. Right now she and her boyfriend Keith are traveling Johto on the gym circuit, but the cast also has a house on Four Island in Sevii that they visit decently frequently.
Looking for: Always looking for new friends for Allura, especially peers (girl needs more people her age to hang out and relax with). She’s very intelligent and interested in learning about VR!Earth’s and otherworlders’ cultures, but also a skilled warrior and wouldn’t mind a sparring partner. In VR she’s very interested in field journals, shell collections, and makeovers including manicures, but you can never have too many hobbies. She’s spoken for, so no shipping please. Not interested in negative CR for negative CR’s sake, but a bit of friction might be okay.

Cliffnotes: Grant is a werewolf from a modern fantasy setting where magic is a well-known part of everyday life, but a fair number of magic-related states of being are still somewhat discriminated against - werewolves invcluded. He used to sell magic books and reagents back home, and is in fact a big nerd about the whole topic!
Looking for: I am not picky tbh - he's a pretty sociable guy besides being sort of shy (and having certain topics that get to him), so I'm always up for him making more friends - especially ones he can talk Nerd Shit with!! Tell him about YOUR very specific interests, he genuinely wants to know. He's also pretty good with kids and can gladly act as a Responsible Adult where one is needed. Negative CR is a little harder to get with him, particularly since he will... generally just try to be civil with/avoid people he doesn't like, but I am very here for it all the same lmao.

I would love Louie to have more responsible adult CR, he may be used to going through crazy things but he's just 14 and honestly, he's used to going through crazy things with trusted adults around more often than not. Also, while Louie doesn't think of himself as a nerd at all, he totally is. Specifically, he nerds out about treasure, valuables like gems and precious metals, stuff like that. All in the sense of their worth, of course, but it'd still be nice for him to have someone he can talk about that stuff with, from time to time.

Yeah no, he could use some stability, especially since Louie likes a good level of predictability in his life so he can plan for outcomes. And oh man that sounds so wholesome!

Radley is always happy to make new friends! He is also pretty chill most of the time, unless he's bottled up too much pain and it flows over. If Grant is around Goldenrod, Radley is working at opening a diner and Eevee sanctuary/breeding business.

Notes: I aaaaam... so sporadic with my schedule and I really do wanna fix it. I've been juggling a few various obligations, namely content creation (which is my sole source of income atm) and some RL stuff for a small event that just happened last weekend. I don't mind being poked about tags, tho! Lord knows I can be a space cadet, or notifs might disappear in my inbox.

I really wanna try to set aside time to do tags so I can be more consistent and stop going MIA for weeks at a time. >.o

Cliffnotes: Laid back, snarky kinda guy who used to be a stupidly egotistical teenager at points, but has had over a decade here to mellow out. Now he's just kinda aimless and trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life here. Technically runs a group that's supposed to be Anti-Rocket, but with how busy my life's gotten I've been... kinda bad at staying on top of that. >.o
Looking for: Honestly, I'm up for any number of things. More Aurora League buds who Riku can chat about Gym goals with and figure out how to handle that kinda responsibility. People who can push Riku outside of his 'comfort zone' (that is to say, get the guy to come outta his shell and socialize again). Riku's got a bit of an issue where he's withdrawn over the years as he's seen people come and go.

I'm down for more trouble with Rockets since, despite how poofy I've been, Riku is still pretty outspoken against them. Likewise, more people he can maybe coordinate with and figure out a good tactic for dealing with their organization might be cool?

I think Riku just finding new ways to grow and learn and just... figure out how to be an adult would be a fun thing to work with. In many ways, he doesn't feel as old as he is (now around like... yeesh, 26 or 27). He never got to complete high school or experience college, and in some ways he feels like he's stagnated because of that? Like he's not a "real" adult. Just some weird grey area between teen and adult who never got to experience a lot of the cool stuff he heard about from his friends.

I admittedly have toyed with maybe canon updating him slightly, but I'm just not sure because at this point his VR memories outweigh his canon ones and I'm not sure what that would even do to him if I were to bump him to, say, CoM or something.

I guess another thing is, Riku has a lot of stuff he's kept to himself that he just needs to stop being stupid about. A big one is just... the realization that he's grown up and how likely it is that even if his friends return, they won't recognize him, and how awkward it might be to maintain some of those friendships. It's a curious and complicated feeling.

Recent post: I did put up a post in April that I'm still (slowly) tagging back on, but I understand it's pretty old and should probably do a new post soon.

✓ Battle encounters with Rockets - Just keep in mind his team is mostly all 100's and so he's pretty tough. Not unbeatable, tho!
✓ Non-battle, but still hostile encounters with Rockets - Definitely down for it with coordination. Riku has his Training Center in Celadon which also technically has some breeding stock/eggs that might be worthy of snagging.
✓ Temporarily losing a pokemon to a Rocket - I'd wanna plan well in advance, but I'm not opposed if it's pitched well.
✓ Anything else? - He has a Rocket-chipped Mamoswine and has for years. Riku still hasn't figured it out, especially since the Rocket he got it from has been long gone at this point.

Ooh, I think Radley would love an anti-Rocket organization. He is very against Team Rocket and has no idea he has friends who are in it. He would also be happy to try to get Riku to come out of his shell more. He's very extroverted and friendly and wants to make friends.

Extroverts are definitely the kinda people who can give Riku that kinda nudge, haha. He sure isn't great at instigating that kinda stuff himself. :p

Once she learns about Team Rocket, Minfilia will be wanting to work on some form of plan and defense against them, and would appreciate working with somebody who's been here for so long. She may be new, but she is very determined!! (Also to prove herself, and establish herself. Though overworking herself... doesn't help that she now has the goal of trying to take down one of the Champs because he was Not A Good Person.)

She can also try and help him figure out what it is an adult is, when you've not had a lot of opportunities to grow as people should in peace... (she HAS dedicated all of her life to a single cause, and is resistant to changing such, but. Goals!)

Also, Minfilia is aiming to train her Pokemon quickly and efficiently (alongside herself) - so, would it be okay in the future for her to take advantage of the Training Center? She mostly wants to test out unusual strategies - to make sure they'll work before she uses them on future gym leaders, and eventually the league.

Oooh, that sounds like a fun opportunity. He always admires that kinda gusto. Plus, he sorta feels like he hasn't really been living up to Lightning's example, haha.

And sure! :) I'm always down for folks to use the facility or handwave it, even.

Doesn't it just? It'll take time, I'm sure, but hey! I've got years-long plans for Minfilia, so she'll be around for a while. (Unless something happens IRL.) Giving her the chance to take on a role similar to home will also help her settle in general... and she's all about trying to befriend the people who came before!

So Sion opted not to join the guardian corps way back in the day for his own reasons, but he has always been opposed to team rocket and been keeping an eye out for opportunities to do something about them! So if Riku wants to discuss shenanigans for him that's always an option.

That or, y'know, talk about oldtimer league champion/running a gym stuff.

Alternatively Geddoe is an old man and a mercenary so if Riku needs some muscle (or brains--despite appearances Geddoe is both observant and clever) for an anti-rocket heist that's an option!
