It's been a while since we had one of these, so lets all gather for a nice little CR meme.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

Canon: Final Fantasy XIV
Cliffnotes: Mission command, in a way, for the player character. Until just after her canon points where she becomes God, but w/e. She's trying to grow her reputation right now, and is looking to take on the gym challenge while experimenting with strategies. Likely after Fourth Wall, she'll be going for her first Gym Badge! She's a nice woman, and cares so deeply for others.
Looking for: I would love for Minfilia to get mentors, and to also get people who can teach her that she doesn't need to lead. She's spent most of her life studying the secrets of her star and guiding others - she deserves to be guided and cherished as herself. That she doesn't need to rush to establish a new branch of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. (Which I see as her long-term goal - establish a base for herself and allies to study secrets and hunt down dangerous Pokemon, if needed. They might not be Primal, but it is a thing she can do. For she cannot help but want to be of aid to the star...)

I also made a list, recently, of Pokemon I think would fit Minfilia. Linked here. I think it's funny that Minfilia is becoming a cat lady. But if there's other obscure Pokemon you think would fit her team, I'd like to know that as well.

Learning that there's this seedy-but-not-THAT-dangerous-compared-to-Garlemald underbelly to this world. Okay, so "becoming a cat lady" caught my attention, because Louie quite likes cats and has a number of cat Pokemon already. So I think it could be cute for that to be a sort of "same hat" point of connection. Other than that, I actually think Louie - despite being just 14 - could help with the "you don't have to lead" idea? He's big on the idea of people getting to live a normal life if they want to, especially due to some of his close CR in the game. He also enjoys Pokemon battle strategies and could give Minfilia some gym tips, maybe! He's got the first four or so from Johto, so far.

Back on cats, I've also been toying with the idea of a pair of his Pokemon having eggs that he could sell, and since his Alolan Persian is on his team a lot, an Alolan Meowth egg is possible, I believe. It wouldn't be fancy since Louie's a trainer not a breeder, but if that's something you'd like to be kept in the loop on with final results, I'd be happy to do so!

Cliffnotes: Louie is part of a big, adventuring family-- And while he loves the idea of treasure, he really doesn't care for the treasure-hunting. Lazy and often scared, he'd rather scheme his way to wealth. By the end of the series, he learned that this can go quite badly for everyone involved. Instead, he's started using his skill for analyzing situations and their patterns to help on adventures. In VR, he's continued to grow more moral by virtue of having friends that are truly his own for the first time, instead of friends made through other family members. He still likes to make money, though!
Looking for: More friends, honestly! They can be around his age, Louie just turned 14 in-game last month, but intergenerational friendships with adults are nothing new. Right now, most of his close friends are a bit more lowkey in certain ways - excluding backstory, lmao - and I'd love to see him connect with someone more adventurous and enthusiastic? It'd be a nice way for him to further accept and get comfortable with the exciting lifestyle his family has.

Kazuki’s outward most persona is that of a golden retriever. He’s a sweet, bumbling, clumsy puppy that just wants to give you his paw and get the Milkbone in your pocket. He’s genuinely kind and friendly to everyone, and thus, everyone seems to know his name.

And that really is him. He’s not putting on a front. He loves music (he plays the trumpet professionally, and was studying to become a music teacher). He believes the best in people. He loves to have fun, and having fun with his friends even more. All he wants is everyone around him to feel good and be happy.

However, he’s also fairly self-aware. He knows he’s too much sometimes. He knows that he can be annoying, and he’s not really the smartest, and that he’s “anzen-pai,” the safe choice, the obvious virgin. I’m not joking. He calls himself that. I can’t make this shit up. So he also carries a quiet sort of sadness in him as well, and suffers a bit from imposter syndrome, as he’s not as musically talented as his peers.

He's been in VR for coming on 5 years. In that time, he's developed the Silver Horn, an inn for people and a rehabilitation center for wild Pokemon. His doors are open 24/7 to anyone that needs help, or a soft place to land. If a character wants to work there, or help out in general, there's a sign-up on the provided page!

Looking for: Kazuki is definitely my most open character. Because of his kind heart, he's likely to engage with nearly anybody at least once. The Silver Horn also acts as a great icebreaker if you want your character to get to know him. There's very little that is out of his character when it comes to positive interaction. He's also a pretty easy target for negative CR, but he's not the type to engage in bad behavior. If you're looking for a new enemy, this is not your guy.

I basically just want him to be friends with everyone, because that's what he's good at. I'm also open to shipping and/or relationship attempts from either gender. While he's from a datesim game, he's never been in a relationship. And he's 23 now, lol.

I also want to do more music related stuff with him in the near future.

Cliffnotes: Emet is an entirely too old immortal that is more or less tsundere about mortals, he's highly critical of other people, just all around a grouchy grandpa (who has also done a lot of messed up stuff, but that's neither here nor there...), yet under it all he's a fairly sensitive man who cares way too much and can be alturistic to a fault (he buckles when people plead for his assistance, for example). However, some of these traits have been warped with age and traumatic experiences, and so he can be pretty damn cruel when he feels it's warranted, as well as obscenely stubborn on his perspective and values. He exudes condescension by default and can just be a right pain in the ass when he wants to be.

If you enjoy prickly grouches who are soft underneath, with a dash of complicated morality, and a smidge of theatrics, he might be right for you. He and Hythlodaeus have a shiny breeding ranch/trainer lodge just south of Goldenrod as well, which might give some ample opportunities for possible run ins/cr chances!
Looking for: Honestly I hate to be like "anything" but that's truly the case here. Emet bounces off other characters in very interesting ways, whether it's positive or negative cr, and so I kinda love seeing what comes of him interfacing with a bunch of different character types!

He is part of Team Rocket, Beta rank, and so there's some potential for shenanigans with that, though he is less active than some others. He tends to go for bigger scoresーthe Yamasquerade last year was on him, for example.

Cliffnotes: I play Jean post-timeskip, right before the raid on Libero (for those that are in the know). He's 20 now in VR. He's been here for nearly 3 years.

Jean, on the outside, is a very confrontational, prickly person. At first, he tends to interact with people in an antagonistic kind of way, either providing bait or taking it, and seeing what comes from that. It's pretty easy for him to get into a frenemy relationship with basically anyone who will indulge him. But that's just his surface level.

Once someone is able to break through his tough outer layer, they'll find that he's actually quite a loyal, steadfast person. He's very much ride-or-die with the people that make into his inner circle. Despite being an incurable asshole, he has a fairly strong moral compass, and has a tendency to fall into philosophical arguments due to the horrible nature of his world and the life he's led as a soldier.

He honestly should have completed his gym challenge a year ago, I've just sucked at the maintained required since I started working full time lol. He really enjoys Pokemon battles, and high speed trick flying on his Mega Pidgeot.

Cliffnotes: Gobo's personality, in short, is that he's the quintessential Leader. He puts others first, sometimes (most times) to his own detriment, tries to do what he thinks is best, and enjoys blazing new trails and sharing those results. He's not without his faults though, of which he has MANY, least of which is his temper. He's also stubborn, which has led to injury and near death more than once, and feels like he's forever stuck in his uncle's shadow, but he's slowly stepping away from all this.

As far as in the game, right now he's on the Sevii Islands, enjoying a BREAK. He's going pretty light on his breeder duties, but is always sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong, and trying to find out everything about Pokemon. ...And also try to figure out this weird little new feeling he has in his heart about someone very close to him.
Looking for: Friends with more breeders, for one thing. Not only to expand his own techniques and stock, but just have someone to chat with about it at the end of the day. Additionally, more people to expand his world view, particularly those experienced with magic in all its forms. And finally, I'm definitely not opposed to negative CR, he's got a temper and isn't afraid to clapback to someone if he really feels they deserve it, and honestly that could be fun to play out.

Cliffnotes: Chip is an energetic but rather shy 12-year-old kid that comes from an urban fantasy world where magic is no big deal (except for the times where it is) but aliens and psychic powers are THE COOLEST SHIT. They have a big complex about their demonic ancestry and suffered through religious abuse for a good chunk of their life, so they can take a while to warm up to people, but once they do you have a tiny whirlwind of chaos on your hands. Ask them about Paliens!!
Looking for: I really just need to get my tagging drive for them back up, tbh. Renewing old CR, starting new stuff, I'm open to things! I try to keep content light with Chip since they are very...Typical Kid, so if you want cute or funny shenanigans they're a good one to bounce off of!

G'rhyf is friendly and energetic, the sort of person that you barely have to try to pull into some Dumb Shenanigans TM, but is also a lot more clever than you might give them credit for. They're from the end of Endwalker, so if you need any spoilers avoided just let me know!
Looking for: I'd like to widen their CR pool a bit, maybe start some dumb trainer rivalries or maybe some Fite Friends to burn off some energy with. It's been like three months and they haven't gotten to punch one giant monster in the snoot, they want a refund.

Notes: Technically in ye olde European Time Zone, but I'm nocturnal, so my online time overlaps more with USA time zones. Also, I guess I also mod this game (wild), so generally I have a little less time for RP just before big events.

Canon: Fantasy High.
Cliffnotes: In his world, Riz is a teenage adventurer (well, going to school for it), a licensed private detective, and also technically a part-time consultant with the Lower Planar Reconnaissance Task Force (AKA Heavenly spies). He is essentially a Goblin Veronica Mars, but more feral. He's part of an adventuring party called the Bad Kids, and they are all his best (and to some degree, only) friends.

Riz lives the mystery-solving lifestyle, whether it is going on quests for school, solving the mysterious disappearance of his babysitter or trying to figure out why socks keep disappearing in the washing machine (he suspects a poltergeist). At any given time, he has several case boards and ongoing conspiracy theories. His work-life balance is absent, it's a good night if he sleeps four hours, and he routinely consumes his weight in coffee. Riz has, in fact, been so focused on solving mysteries and puzzles his entire life that his social skills are pretty crap; he doesn't know how to interact with peers all that well, is nervous talking to his friends let alone strangers and often feels lost hanging out if there is no task to perform. He's been working on this, and he's definitely gotten better at this since knowing the other Bad Kids, but he's not, and probably will never be, a regular teen who can just chill out.

He's also murdered several people. It's DnD. It happens.

Looking for:

- More friends, especially ones who he can bond with over having similar experiences (dead dads, being out of step with everybody else, being highly focused on a job, struggles with sexuality, solving mysteries). Please note though that it takes a good while for Riz to genuinely open up about things (he's trying to work on it) so it might take some prying to get to that point.

- Any CR that involves the solving of mysteries or conspiracies. Note that this doesn't have to be positive. A mystery based rivalry would be fun too. Riz is still trying to solve the mystery of the Joys and the Jennies, as well as uncover Team Rocket, so anyone who would be willing to help with that (or work against him) is very much welcome!

- Crimes!!! Like I said, Riz is a private detective in his own world and is continuing his ways here. I know these things can be hard to set up, but if you have a character that is involved in crime (whether as a victim or as a perpetrator) and you want a tiny detective on the case, let me know.
- OH RIGHT. Riz has a budding interest in getting a Type: Null (Or I have this budding interest for him). If anyone has a Null and would like to talk to him about that, that'd be awesome.

Cliffnotes: Vierna has a deep seated sense of justice and a tendency toward compassion. Unfortunately, Vierna also grew up as a drow noblewoman in the extremely violent and backstabby theocracy of Menzoberranzan and got railroaded into being a priestess in the cult of Lolth, the Spider Queen. She is, as a result, not the most stable person and has a tendency to lash out when she catches herself doing shit like "caring about people."

She's currently following her canonmates Jarlaxle and Kimmuriel around because Jarlaxle is one of the very few people back home who were ever genuinely nice to her (albeit largely for the sake of her dead father) and she needs an adult isn't quite confident enough to strike out alone in this new world yet. I do intend for her to start challenging gyms before too much longer, and I think the power of Cute Animals That Like Her is getting pretty close to wearing her down enough for her golbat to hit that friendship-dependent evolution (yes golbats are cute. shut up).
Looking for: Vierna desperately needs some more friends that aren't her crazy almost-stepdad and his weird buddy. Also, her native language has no unironic word for friendship. You see the dilemma here. She's lonely on levels she 100% has not unpacked and does not understand, and her default setting with other people is "extreme distrust." Generally speaking, snarky/serious characters will probably find her more receptive than bubbly ones, and she's more more inclined to take women seriously than men.

If your character was at the secret sharing part of the prom event, Vierna was the one who was obviously conflicted about admitting that she valued her brothers.

I'm tentatively open to shipping her, but everything about her being very bad at friendship goes double for romantic relationships. She's bi, in the equivalent of her early twenties, and mostly inexperienced in terms of romance.

He was brought here before he could emotionally recover and tends to crack or break down at having the pain dug up again. Usually, however, he'll put on a facade for as long as he can and pretend to be happy if he's not. He's a friendly person and tries to greet all newcomers and anyone else he runs into. He genuinely wants friends because he's lonely, as well as feeling like it's wise to have a big network of allies when they're all displaced from home. He has a quirky speech pattern and may sometimes say something inadvertently that's misunderstood, but he never means to offend unless he's reacting to someone being a bully or a jerk. He loves Eevees and wants to celebrate them for what they are, even though he likes their evolved forms too. He plans to breed Eevees and open an Eevee sanctuary.
Looking for: More friends! Radley tries to reach out to characters from all series, but I would especially love for him to be able to connect with more characters from Yu-Gi-Oh!, any Yu-Gi-Oh!. Anyone willing to give him a chance is completely welcome, though! He and I treasure all friendships he has already made and look forward to more.

His current goal is to collect all the badges and challenge the Elite 4, and be the best he can. Currently for the month of May and possibly part of June he's hanging out around Ecruteak, taking a much needed break after the past two months of angry birds, mischief foxes, then legendary birds, AND THEN getting together with his best friend during Prom.
Looking for: Literally everything besides romance, since he's just gotten into a relationship with his childhood best friend Iwaizumi. But I would REALLY REALLY LOVE someone to be a rival or bring more of his antagonistic side out and make him push himself to be Better than the other person. Right now he's had too much funtimes, I want him to be a brat a little bit more.

In VR, Mando has been kind of rudderless, just tagging along with Riz on his adventures and gradually accruing random Pokemon. He's been slowly warming up to people, and winning them over with that charismatic smile of his.

Looking for: Help a man get some armour, please. He's losing muscle tone from not dragging around several kilos of armour weight everywhere.

He'll also eventually start taking on the gyms, solely because he wants a Type: Null. He likes those metal dogs.

Really, I'm pretty open to new CR for him. He's kind of standoffish at first but he warms up to people a lot faster than he'd care to admit. I'm also totally open to characters recognising he's from Star Wars and knowing about the Star Wars universe.

Cliffnotes: Heather is a scrappy teenage cult-escapee who also maybe is a reincarnated god??? ... in canon. In VR, she's been around for ~10 years and has matured into an equally scrappy but far more well-adjusted twentysomething. Over the course of her time in Johto and Kanto, she went from being an irreverent punk to a still-irreverent-but-also-dedicated trainer, eventually fighting her way to the top of the Indigo League and becoming one of the small-but-growing number of non-native Pokemon Champions. Given the amount of time she's spent in this world, she's proud to consider it home and rarely talks about the world she's from (you must be at least Level 5 to unlock her secret tragic backstory) unless it's in the form of making obnoxious pop culture references that only she finds funny.

Currently her top priority is working on getting her official Aurora League Gym (which she's sharing with her partner, Envy Animevillain) built and open-- which has taken her so long it's practically a pop culture meme at this point. SOMEDAY... SOMEDAY HER GYM WILL BE OPEN AND THEN YOU'LL ALL SEE.........

As a result of this, she's become a bit of a hermit and is a little more socially-starved than normal. While she's been spending the vast majority of her time doing Gym Building Stuff (tm), she tries to get away when possible.

Looking for: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Found family is very important to Heather, as is making good on however much time the people she cares about get in this world. Even though she maintains a convincingly-carefree persona, she's still haunted by a past full of loss and regret. She has a particular soft spot for DADS (she was raised by a single adoptive father and therefore being a single adoptive father can usually land you on her good side) and TROUBLED KIDS (she was also a troubled kid and is now a troubled adult who FEELS like a troubled kid). She makes a good tough big sis who noogies you but also beats up whoever messes with you, and a good obnoxious little sis who texts you RARE PHOTO OF YOU IN THE WILD accompanied by a picture of some ugly off-color plush she saw at the store.

Negative CR is also welcome-- even though Heather is significantly less prickly than she was as a teen, she's still a hothead at heart and her reputation for being a delinquent/troublemaker is NOT unearned.

Oh, and (spoilers for Part 5!) he shares a body with that very same powerful mafia boss, whose name is Diavolo. It's sort of an anime DID thing but also literally two souls in one body. You know how it goes.

Thanks to his professional experience, Doppio seeks to climb Team Rocket's ranks, but he puts up an upstanding front as a traveling trainer. In addition, he's a member of the Legendary Seekers (though he's actually just spying for Team Rocket shhhh). He enjoyed a few moments of fame as the protector of Phione's egg last year.

Looking for: Honestly, I would love any and all CR, he needs more of it! Friends to make (note: he is not used to having friends), people to catch on to the fact that he's more than meets the eye... He doesn't have a traveling group, and frankly he's not interested in one, but that means he's a bit isolated from time to time!

Cliffnotes: Rose is a nightmare dressed up like a daydream; despite being all sunshine and smiles, she's hiding the fact that she literally used to be a monster who is supposed to eat people. emphasis on the supposed to though because, well, she doesn't want to! that's kind of the whole issue. rose has always wanted to be a normal everyday person and live a boring albeit musical life. unfortunately, she's super paranoid about being found out because of the stigma attached to her kind and being hunted throughout her life due to what she is. so while she's super outgoing and extroverted, eventually people will realize she's not really close. also, that she's really bad at being functionally human! sleep? needing to eat regularly? lame. who needs that.
Looking for: honestly, I'm down for anything! she may be attempting gym battles soon-ish? I gotta' figure that out. otherwise, she's a bit of a rolling stone who just kind of goes where she pleases and does what she wants. she's picking up music again and learning to cook so those might some CR hooks.

she tends to be on the hypersexual/gets easily infatuated end of things but I'm not necessarily looking for anything shippy. she's actually had a bad string of luck here and kind of decided that she's going to die alone as a crazy Slowpoke lady. in that vein, I think some development regarding self-love and valuing yourself outside of someone else would be fun to explore!

SO YOU KNOW normally I hesitate to volunteer Sion for anything remotely to do with relationship stuff because he has so many hangups with the whole thing, but in this case, if you want someone she could potentially get infatuated with who'd very promptly but gently turn her down, that is actually something he could do!

And give genuinely good relationship advice (including that it's not always a good idea to get involved with someone) rather than the usual trite nonsense, because he surprisingly has some experience in that area in canon.

Looking for: GIVE HIM FRIENDS!!! He is definitely the prickly type, but he can have very civil conversation too!! It just takes him some time to open up and create relationships. He can also be very antagonistic and angry so if you want some negative CR that's also an option.

I'm sorry you've been sick, but if it helps, VR is very forgiving of slow tagging, I've found!

Anyway, support friend role! Boober needs one of those, always. Maybe too much, but Hunk being a bit of a "why can't we play it safe this time?" type from what I remember... Well, that might help mitigate Boober leaning on him too much and work out well. Also, the cooking. I want Boober to have all the cooking buddies.

And man, while Boober and Hunk CR is my main thought here, I do think Louie and Hunk need to bond over that "why can't we play it safe this time?" energy.
