CR MEME!

It's been a while since we had one of these, so lets all gather for a nice little CR meme.

Please share your ideas of interactions you'd love your character to have, or plots you are rolling around in your head that might need a few more folks. Is your character looking for a friend? An enemy? A rival? You could find it all here. And remember, the more detailed, the better! We all want all the CR, but specific plans, or at least a specific direction you want to take something in, will really help out everybody involved.

Like before, this CR meme will also include a template specifically geared towards Rocket CR. Please fill it in to let our Rocket members know how you feel about getting your characters involved in some crime.

CHARACTER
Name: Emet-Selch; amaure
Canon: Final Fantasy XIV
Cliffnotes: Emet is an entirely too old immortal that is more or less tsundere about mortals, he's highly critical of other people, just all around a grouchy grandpa (who has also done a lot of messed up stuff, but that's neither here nor there...), yet under it all he's a fairly sensitive man who cares way too much and can be alturistic to a fault (he buckles when people plead for his assistance, for example). However, some of these traits have been warped with age and traumatic experiences, and so he can be pretty damn cruel when he feels it's warranted, as well as obscenely stubborn on his perspective and values. He exudes condescension by default and can just be a right pain in the ass when he wants to be.

If you enjoy prickly grouches who are soft underneath, with a dash of complicated morality, and a smidge of theatrics, he might be right for you. He and Hythlodaeus have a shiny breeding ranch/trainer lodge just south of Goldenrod as well, which might give some ample opportunities for possible run ins/cr chances!
Looking for: Honestly I hate to be like "anything" but that's truly the case here. Emet bounces off other characters in very interesting ways, whether it's positive or negative cr, and so I kinda love seeing what comes of him interfacing with a bunch of different character types!

He is part of Team Rocket, Beta rank, and so there's some potential for shenanigans with that, though he is less active than some others. He tends to go for bigger scoresーthe Yamasquerade last year was on him, for example.

YEAH. Yeah. I mean, maybe if she gets some further context of what's been really going down, but that's still a lot of uh trauma and pain to put behind her that he was the root of, so...

Either way, I'll be glad to see where they go!

Also she might call him Solus at first and have trouble using his Ascian title. Because of said trauma. And always suspect him. (Mind you: she won't go public with any suspicions because she is aware of her place compared to him. ) I mean this is how it's probably gonna end up.

That's fine, some people here call him Solus because he was using that name when he first arrived. He's spent 72 years using it, it won't be odd to hear it again. Her suspicions are expected, he won't be bothered! (also that's so goddamn funny)

I think he's still being a bum in Goldenrod right now, but his money's probably gonna run low soon which means he'll actually have to challenge the gym and move on...

Okay, so I had admittedly forgotten about the thread Louie had with Emet in October until now, since things were pretty crazed for me at the time... But I enjoyed it, and I'd certainly be interested in further CR with them. It doesn't hurt that prickly grouches who can be soft, potentially with a dash of complicated morality, are things that describe many of the adults Louie is close to in canon. So he's kind of used to looking past that in people, especially adults, in the sense that he can deal with unpleasant attitudes for the good aspects of a connection.

Overall, I'm not sure how anything might go, it feels like there's a lot of possibilities? But I'd definitely like to thread with them again.

Oh man! I forgot about that too! It was great and I'd love for them to interact more! The fact he's used to sketchy adults works well, even if it's unfortunate (poor Louie). Emet does havea soft spot for kids even if he can be just as snotty to them as he is towards adults (he's a father of two, also a grandpa, also a great grandpa, but all of that's complicated), so I'm curious how cr might unfold between them!

I still desperately want Riz to fill all (or many?) containers in Emet's house with creamed corn. His shampoo? Now corn. His probably very fancy face creme? Corn. What's that inside of his cereal? It's motherfucking corn, buddy.

I was thinking of maybe doing this during the fourth wall so Riz could potentially use his briefcase of holding to transport all this corn.
