But I can assume that since it's called Rockruff, it would be part-Rock type. That is another thing about this star - each Pokemon has an oddly fitting name.

(Harry is hoping for the best to forge his own path away from being the Chosen One in his world, because honestly he needs to find a break from it right now.)

That is true. I honestly learned it the hard way back home: I was pretty stubborn when it comes to accepting help back in my world.

[Honchkrow is at least cute. Though Kageyama needs a Dusk Stone first.]

I was on the volleyball team at my high school.

[And fighting at nationals to get to the top.]

There's a lot of people here that look like they don't belong here.

[There was also some rather strange hair colors that apparently were natural. That took some getting used to.

The chirp draws Kageyama's attention down to the fox-like creature. This isn't one he's come across with how many trainers seemed to want to fight to "level up".]

It would be better if there was a volleyball club.

Oh, I see. I've definitely known some people like that. I'm sorry you had to learn it the hard way.

[He's had some tough lessons of his own back home too.]

[That laughter makes Tobio take a step back. It's so genuine coming from Oikawa that he's not sure at all what's going on. Shouldn't Oikawa be getting upset at a comment like that? Be snide?

This place has surely messed with his former senpai a lot... And it is rather unfair that he's the only crow here.]

[Radley gives an understanding smirk.]

That's good. You definitely seem to be doing well here. Your friends have taught you a lot.

[He reaches out to squeeze her shoulder- he does wish she could have been part of it.] Alisaie was the main force behind it- after out trip to the First.

[He can't help but give that a fond look.] Keeping them close to your heart? What sort of Pokemon are they? [But oh, that's important.] It would make it easier to remember those details. Though it's not the case for all of them, is it?

That seems a considerable number. Their genes…? [Something to look into, it sounds like.] Indeed- it's a very deep part of them, isn't it?

That sounds very enjoyable. HOw would you enter one, were you to go along that path?

[ The First... she'd heard about it, that was for sure. That other world. But she didn't know much. Thancred would see a flicker of... something in her eyes. (She did not know how her life ended. Not yet.)

But she can focus on Pokemon. ] Ah... a new friend of mine said it was okay. They're-- Meowstic, aligned with the psychic type. While they look the same as their previous form, Espurr, they're dimorphic as they grow and evolve.

[ In fact, one of them runs up now. The male one, in... specially tailored clothes. Looking adorable. ] It's not the case for all of them, no. While Meowstic also have a hint towards their type - being made of the compound words Meow and Mystic - there are others which do not seem like... puns.

[ She's happy explaining! She is no longer so angy. ] For example, I have a Pachirisu. I... cannot find the pun nor typing of them in their name.

It sure is. And yet even with that, some of them manage to refuse to evolve.

[He pauses, thinking.]

I think you can just sign up if one's around. I'm not sure if they're really big in Johto. Mostly I hear about the standard gym battles.

[Someone else was admiring those Slowpokes. Luna was definitely enjoying this place. Sure, there was no magic for her to use, but all the animals were magical and interesting and strange, and she loved it. She tended to get along better with creatures than people anyway, most of the time, and this suited her.

The Slowpoke she was watching was ambling along the street, and then finally just settled down next to her. She smiled wistfully, and gently patted its head, then went back to people watching. It was then that she spotted a very familiar person. Her smile widened a bit.]

Harry! You're here now, too?

[For her part, Luna really hadn't changed. Her long pale blond hair was just as messy as usual, tied back in a frizzed loose ponytail at the nape of her neck. Her clothing was as colorful as ever, somewhat mismatched, but suited to her personality, and heavy on the pinks and purples. She didn't have her cork necklace or radish earrings, but she'd found decent approximations such as Leppa Berry earrings, a cork from a MooMoo Milk bottle tied on a string around her neck, and even a ring with an Ariados on it to replace her spider ring.

Next to her on the opposite side of her new Slowpoke friend was a Spinda, napping in the sun.]

(As soon as he hears a familiar voice, he then turns around to see a familiar face as well. He couldn’t believe his eyes: Luna is also here as well and she has Pokémon of her own as well.)

Luna, hi! You’re also in here as well. It is really great to see you again.

(Soon enough, Rowan, Maisy, and Molly take full notice of the blond lady and begin to greet her and her Spinda and Slowpoke in a friendly manner. Especially Maisy, she gets very excited when meeting new people.)

[She nodded at his comment.]

So it seems. Have you been here long?

[She made a hand gesture for Harry to sit in the grass with her and enjoy the sun, then reached out to let his Pokémon sniff at her hands in greeting.]

(He nods as he gets up to sit down on the grass with Luna while Rowan, Maisy and Molly follow after him. Maisy goes first and proceeds to sniff at her hand.)

I have been travelling around Jotho for a few days so far. And I just stopped by here just now to rest up and to look at the Slowpoke.

The Slowpoke are definitely fun to watch. They seem so relaxed and comfortable here. [Another one ambled by in that moment, slowly lumbering along. Luna smiled as she watched it.] Have you seen the well? There are a lot of them in there.

Yeah, they sure look really at peace. Nor do they look like they are going to rush into things at any time.

(The Slowpoke are very serene and at peace, something he just experiences these days after being at Jotho for a while. Azalea Town has been peaceful and calming for the soul.)

I actually pass by a couple of them, although I haven’t though about stopping by one when I first came here.

[Honestly, after everything that's happened back home, Luna felt it was good to see Harry so relaxed. She cared about him. He was a good friend. He deserved the rest.]

I definitely recommend it. It is a bit cool down there, though, so you might want to bring a jumper.

I didn't interrupt a meal or anything, did I? You were sitting at the cafe...

Azalea

[Luna was fascinated by the Slowpokes, honestly. She could have stayed there all day. Her Spinda was quite happy just hanging out and watching them with her, and Luna could feel the contentment from the pink creatures just ebbing into her. At some point, she found herself just sitting in the grass, surrounded by them, one in particular having decided to rest its head in her lap as it snoozed.

Luna quite happily just rubbed its cute little ears and gave another one a berry while Spinda just chowed down on a berry of its own.

She wasn't going to necessarily call out to anyone walking by, but, if someone noticed her or said something interesting in earshot, she would definitely say hi or even offer up some commentary in regards to whatever they're talking about.]

[The video seemed to have just come on by itself. But there was a startled gasp followed by a somewhat dreamy sounding soft voice with a light pitch.]

So, that's how it works. Muggle technology is quite amazing, really. What they do to compensate for the lack of magic...

[There was an answering, "Spin. Spinda da. Da." Then, the scene shifted as if someone was rotating the Gear around until they could be seen. The girl on the video wasn't very extraordinary, her pale blonde hair framing her face on the left side with messy unkempt curls, but her bright blue eyes, while slightly dreamy looking, held something more behind them, indicating she was likely wiser than people probably gave her credit for.]

Hello. I've heard that this can allow me to communicate with others out there. My name is Luna. And this is Ella. [She shifted the Gear so that the Spinda could be seen next to her. The perpetually dizzy looking rabbit-like creature gave a wave, and then rolled over on to her back. Luna turned the Gear back to herself.] I'm new here, and apparently I've been given a handbook about breeding the creatures of this world. I've never been much of one for handbooks, though. [She paused.] I do like to make my own path. [And then she smiled again.] But this place does seem rather lovely. I guess I'm just looking for some tips.

Ah yeah, that sounds like a great idea. I do have a jumper inside my rucksack, so I might put it on in a little bit before checking out the wells.

Oh no, that is okay. I was about to finish my order in the cafe and I didn’t expect to see anyone from home to show up in town until you came in.

(Maisy purrs delightfully, just begging to play, while Molly and Rowan are having a great time chatting with Luna’s Slowpoke and Spinda.)

[Were he fresh and new in this world, he'd be far more snide and rude, but being without anyone to pressure him? What a world of difference it made. But he DOES snort at the off-put reaction from the younge boy, clearly amused by the reaction.

As well as shrugs, rolling his eyes at the comment. He didn't really mind Hinata all that much, even if the ginger was a hyper kid.]

I wouldn't mind seeing him around. Better him than Ushiwaka at least.

Anyway, if you plan to take on the gyms around here, you're gonna need more than just that bird. The people here are strong and don't go easy on anyone.

I.) [Getting started] – The Accidental Video Option
[There's a goggle-wearing kid with an aviator cap and a bright green orb of a pokemon held between his arms like a goldfish bowl--a newly minted trainer and his solosis!]

"You and me are gonna get on just fine, not-brain-ball!" [Raz smiles, a bit befuddled but no less fondly.]

"Huh. What should I even call you? You're sort of just this gelatinous orb thing." [Someone teach this kid to use his pokedex.]

II.) [Trainer used assist] – The Mission Option

"Hey!" [Wherever you were traveling to will have to wait, there's a boy on the side of the road, waving you down and none too fearless about running right up to do it, no matter how intimidating you may look. In his arm is a speckled off-white object and he points to the tree growing out the side of a cliff atop the nearby cave.]

"I think this egg fell out of its nest, we need to get it back to its home." [It's hard for the former psychic not to feel just a little distressed about it. If only he had his pyrokinesis or levitation, getting up there would be a breeze!]

"I've been trying to psyblast through, but it's just too dark."

III.) [Hospital Heist--] The Rocket Option

"Out of the way, this is a Pok-e-mergency!" [It's not like Raz wants to rudely barge into the backroom of the pokecenter, but desperate times call for desperate measures!

The child squints, taking in the sight of the 'nurse' shoveling a tray of recovering pokeballs into a sack; the telling emblem of an "R" now revealed beneath their uniform. The jig is up.]

"..I don't think those belong to you." [Do you dare fight the child?]

VI.) [WILD] – The assumed CR option
“Hey, how’s the training going?”

I've seen one other person here so far. Well, sort of. It was through that... PokeGear? Fascinating device, truly. It works better than flue powder, and I can use it anywhere without having to light a fire.

[Luna was happy to pet and play with Maisy. Honestly, she was definitely in her element here.]

I know you have experience living among Muggles. Have you seen anything like the PokeGear before?
