Magical creatures or creatures that most people think are fictional or mythical. I have encountered the likes of Hippogriffs, Thestrals, Unicorns, Kneazles - just to name a few.

I haven't heard of Thestrals or Kneazles. What are those?

Thestrals are these skeletal looking horses with bat like wings and faces similar to dragons. They are also very intelligent and very loyal to whoever they consider as friends. Back in my world, only people who have seen death can see them as they usually stay invisible from anybody who hasn’t seen death and they are seen as omens of death in my world. Very handy in getting you to places too.

As for Kneazles, they are cat like creatures and very intelligent as well. Not to mention very independent and sometimes aggressive towards some people. They have this ability to detect suspicious and untrustworthy individuals. I actually know of a friend who owns a Kneazle hybrid in my world.

Thestrals sound creepy-looking but really cool.

Kneazles sound a lot like kitties. Those would be useful to have around!

Oh yes, they are pretty handy in plenty of situations.

(He has met and befriended many fantastical creatures thro7h the years. Oh wait, he almost forgot about introducing himself and has not gotten the other man’s name.)

Oh by the way, I almost forgot to introduce myself. My name is Harry, Harry Potter, but just Harry will be fine by me. I’m originally from England, but I was in Scotland before I arrived in this world.

Hi, Harry. I'm Radley. I've always wanted to visit the United Kingdom! I wonder if we're from the same Earth? People have been telling me there's a lot of Earths in different dimensions.

I’m also wondering about that as well: maybe we do live in the same Earth, it’s just that we didn’t know the other had existed before today.

(It sounds like a possibility, though he is uncertain at the moment. The whole different Earth part is still pretty new to him and he has to get his footimg on this world.)

Yeah.... Have you heard of Duel Monsters? ... It's a card game; it's not really sending monsters to fight to the death.

[Unless you believe some of the history stories....]

It's pretty much all over the place in my world.

Um, I’m afraid that I am not familiar with them, I’m terribly sorry. I was just too busy at school to play cards in my free time. What are they like if I may ask?

(Growing up, Harry couldn’t play many toys like all normal and wizard kids would. He is not certain about telling Radley about how he was mistreated by his relatives just yet.)

[Radley nods understandingly and takes out his deck to show.]

[He has monster cards that look like gem-studded animals, as well as cards that will take out enemy monsters and cards to power up his animals.]

Oh wow, these cards look really amazing. I have never seen cards this amazing before.

(Slowly, Rowan begins to wake up from his nap, yawning for a bit before seeing Radley and his team and beginning to hoot as a greeting. Molly hasn’t planned on waking up just yet.)

[Radley smiles, pleased.]

It's a pretty cool game. There's a lot of jobs involving it back home.

[He looks over at Rowan.]

Hi there!

[The Pokemon call greetings.]

It sounds a lot of fun, doesn’t it? Maybe I can try to learn to play it someday, as a fun learning experience.

(He then sees Rowan finally awake and happily greeting Radley’s team. Thank goodness for a moment, he thought his starter wouldn’t want to wake up soon.)

Oh Rowan, hello. You’re finally up and about just in time.

I'd be happy to teach you! I'm planning to host weekly gaming sessions at my restaurant in Goldenrod.

["Eevee!" greets Isla.]

That is really kind of you to host them in your restaurant, Radley. I wouldn’t want to miss out on one if I travel to Goldenrod City.

(Rowan is also intrigued to see the sessions himself, despite being an owl like Pokémon with no knowledge on playing cards.)

It's something that makes it feel more like home, and I'm happy to share it here.

[Radley smiles.

"Eevee-vee!" says Kiryu, wanting to join the socializing. He's usually more reserved, but the girls draw him out.

[phoenixwiz]

That’s even better, Radley. I wish I could do the same with magic, but I haven’t found out if it is working in here the same way it does back home.

(Rowan happily flaps his wings to give them a bit of stretch after all that napping as he hoots in delight. Can’t keep them stay still for too long, bird wings don’t wait for anyone.)

It seems like most things from home don't work the same way here, unfortunately. You could test your magic now, if you want.... Unless you're worried it might go wrong....

[He would rather not be in the vicinity in that case, as he might end up an accidental victim. But he kind of doubts any magical powers Harry has will still work.

Kiryu stretches too and starts to go on two legs.

Evie warbles. She would love for everyone to join in the play!]

Honestly, I’m still nervous of trying to make it work right now. But I’m gonna try.

(He still has his newly repaired wand in his backpack and, as much as he is nervous about testing it out, he could at least try for a bit to see how it would fare.

While he is getting said wand from the backpack, Maisy also joins Evie in asking everyone to play with them. The cuteness levels are off the charts. That is when Molly eventually wakes up and hears her teammate begging to play which she responds to with no problems.

Once he did found his wand, he attempts to make some rocks to levitate, only for them not to move as intended. He tried again and nothing happened. Cue loud cricket noises of fail.)

Oh Merlin.

[All of Radley's Eevees want to play! Cosmo the Ralts is still shy, but finally comes with Evie's encouragement.

Radley winces when the attempt fails.]

I'm sorry about that. I figured that might happen.

... So people really use wands for magic, huh? I wondered if that was just in movies.

[phoenixwiz]

Most wizards of my world sure do. We use them as a magic focus tool to chant spells and incantations on a daily basis. A handy tool to get things done.

(Rowan does his best to comfort his master over his failed attempt to use his wand in this world. He can’t use wands himself, but he did heard plenty of magical things from his Trainer’s world that he often gets excited to learn more about Harry’s world’s magic.)

Row? Row-let?

It’s okay, Rowan. I just knew that my magic doesn’t seem to be compatible with this world.

That sounds cool. I guess it'll be hard to get used to not being able to do that....

[Evie pauses to try to be comforting too. "Ee?"]

Oh, thanks for the sympathies, Evie. As a new arrival, I got a lot to adjust in here and be a good Trainer.

Yeah, it’s going to take me a while to get used to not having access to magic after using it for years.

["Eevee!" Evie said.]

It's cool that you're already setting up goals while you're here. That's the best way to deal with things.
