Yes, its always nice to add your own spark to things, and picking out the type of paper you want is one way to do it.

[He's not sure if he should be concerned about that statement or not, but the other doesn't seem upset, so he'll take it as a joke.]

Well, at least it doesn't seem to stop you, does it? It sounds like you can do a lot if you have your brain and your hands.

You just might be right. I suppose I could even draw something on a crane - though I suppose I'd best leave the whole art thing to my partner, who seems to possess the natural talent. Or not natural - his mother once showed me what he drew at ten years old. A crude magical hammer self-insert wizard. Yes, his talent being not-natural should be remembered, I suppose. I always diminish it by thinking otherwise.

Hm. Maybe the moral is: I, too, can learn how to draw, if such progress can be made?

[Viktor asks Giovanni with a friendly smile, goodnaturedly with only a hint of suppressed natural irony of everything that Vik may have just been born with, as a trencher]

[makes another crane] [looks at it critically] [remakes it] [somebody here might not have natural talent in own opinion, and, hint- yes that's Viktor] [the crane looks a bit better on the fourth try] [but Viktor still looks at it sceptically, as if it's still not worthy of the wish. does Giovanni say anything to that?]

And here I thought I was learning. I suppose that'd be too easy, [muttered by Viktor under breath], "the wings are still ever so uneven, the poor thing could only be seen with pity. I'll try again."

[turns to Giovanni sometime between remakings][and with a smile] Yes, my brain is one thing that needs no improvements, and I'm taking good care of it. I would not say it's perfect, as nobody likes a braggart. [there's a hint of a smile there, of humour][but only if one really, really looks][if one doesn't, the tone might as well be dead pan serious][[this is how trencher scientists fish for kindred spirits , what. well maybe not quite]

Personally, I think its possible to make that progress yourself. If you put in the effort, that is. If you'd like to learn to draw, then perhaps when you get the paper to fold into cranes, you may consider adding art supplies to your shopping list.

[Giovanni watches Viktor make and remake the crane in silence for a bit.]

You are learning. That one is better than your first try. It takes practice to make them well. As you keep trying, you'll improve further.

[Giovanni can't help the soft chuckle as he gets the joke.]

Of course. It's best to stay humble, even when you can brag.

Mhm. I can draw a perfect circle, because that was useful, but I can't draw a face. Unless it's a very fat one. Circle-y. Perhaps I could draw some fat, rich, old man. There's lots of them in Piltover, topside.

And, my apologies, I forgot to introduce myself.

And I think you might've also forgotten to, hm, introduce yourself. If not, then I've presumed incorrectly -- it's fine.

It's Viktor. Pleasure to meet you, Cicchetto. [he says the surname without any pronounciation problems, just with a bit of an usual prolly to the other accent]

I won't become a Pokemon trainer, as my Pokemons won't engage in pointless suffering. So, unless training them on how to become friendly with people who are not me counts? I don't want my Pocket Monsters to end up alone.

[there's nothing miserable - definitely not to a stranger - in the way Viktor here says it. Just a matter-of-factly tone of voice]

I see...I hadn't thought of a path like that. You must truly care for their well being then.

[Giovanni didn't really get it, but he wasn't going to question it. Perhaps there were other people around with a mindset like Viktor's and Giovanni just hadn't met them.]

Pocket monsters are, if not PEOPLE...They are more than pets, Giovanni. It's... only their eyes, their routines, their habits, their too large for a dog or cat affections - they have shown me this.

I have a few Pokemons, it's not as if I came here today. Wait-

[Viktor takes PokeBalls. Viktor's PokeBalls, each of them with a post- note, and in a postnote, in a strange language, a name or names]

[And then Viktor utters] Rio, come, visit here. Dinner time.
[Yes. He gets berries, ready to feed Rio. Rio is a Hatenna. Immediately very affectionate towards Viktor ]

[Galarian Corsola. She's rather shy?]

[A Mimikyu. Who chirps in a tone of voice that's rather like a harrumph.]

"Talis, come, visit me? Dinner?"

[A Maschiff appears. Looks ready to lick Viktor's face off. Looks ready to growl at all the notviktors in this world if they come too close to Viktor.]

"Heimer, come, visit, you forgot something here, take it back?"

[A Purrloin appears. She seems very graceful. She yawns and purrs. She comes closer to Viktor and with her softly alarming purring, she demands.]
[Earscritches. And, like a princess, she's quickly given her due ]

"Melly, come, visit me? I have, eh, berries?"

[The Pokemon does not come out]

"Sorry. It's, hmm, the capricious one. That's Melly. But trust me, she is true beauty"
[Viktor says]
