Effect: Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17: Worry Seed - Affected characters won’t be able to get any sleep. Does that make your character cranky? Does it damage their brain-to-mouth filter? The effects can last as little or as long as you’d like over this weekend.
Effect/Swarm Double Duty: Friday, July 22: Surf - Large waves appear in all bodies of water, including things like bathtubs and your Sawsbucks drinks (it’s just bean water, you know). Be careful on the ocean, but also, hang ten, dudes! The waves won’t destroy anything, but trainers are going to get wet on this ride. Also, oh god, small jellyfish Pokemon (Tentacool, Frillish, Inkay) happen to be swarming randomly in these bodies of water. GANBATTE, VICTORY ROAD.

I woke up today and someone managed to swap my Pokémon- it's a little ghosty thing, a Coastfoam?- with whatever this is.

If someone wants to trade that's fine, but that thing was my starter. That's supposed to be important, right? If anyone's seen him, he responds to Al or Alan, last name Bino.

[That's definitely a large takeaway coffee cup. With an Inkay somehow crammed partially inside, looking no less cheerful for being stuck.]

[ Sixteen-summat years haunting an alleyway has been Hell on Reimi's legs but the opportunity to trek as far as she can without restrictions is too amazing to turn down. She is in no rush to be much of anywhere either, not knowing where she is outside of the sort of helpful advice from locals. The morning brought with it the sweet bouquet of flower-shops on the breeze. A smell she has not had the pleasure of experiencing in a very, very long time. She has been naturally drawn to follow it, realizing its source when a purple petal lands square on her nose.

There are even more around her feet, creating soft pastel rainbows and drifts like brightly-colored snow. ]

Look at this! [ She calls to what looks like absolutely no one. There is a someone there, don't worry. Just a little ways down in the form of a Litwick who is trying His Best to wade through the flower-cover near his new master's feet without drowning in them. Reimi doesn't seem too concerned, as she is enraptured with the flowers falling from the sky. Her hands are open like a child on their first snow day to let them land delicately in her palms for wistful placement in her hair. ]

It's so beautiful... [ A beat is followed by an airy sigh and eyes turning up to the sky. It's nothing like she has ever seen in her entire life. If you can call it that.

The call of the Pokemon near her feet doesn't catch her attention until she sidesteps headlong into someone in her daze. HE TRIED TO WARN HER... Reimi jolts and turns around in a flurry of the flowers she has caught in her hands. ]

[Usagi thought the cave would be fine. Sure it was just a dark scary cave, but she had a flashlight, her Cleffa and... The complete inability to become Sailor Moon. So okay she was a little scared, even though the little pink gumball on her head didn't seem at all worried. And for the first few minutes in the gloomy area she was fine.]

[Then she heard a noise to her left and looked in the direction. And there, on rocks that brought it up to eye level, was a Skourpi.]

[It clicked it's pincers on its tail at her menacingly, a chill ran up Usagi's spine as she took one calm step back, then proceeded to turn on her heel and run out of the cave screaming. Her poor Cleffa fell off her head but is able to grab her hair rippling in the wind with her hair like a confused banner.]

[Because for all that Ienzo is no longer the tiny little thing he was the last time he was Ienzo...he's still fairly short for his age. And there are a lot of flowers on this particular stretch of Route 31. So much in fact that the poor guy is having to practically swim through the flowers. His poor nervous wreck of a Ralts is on his shoulder, swatting away more that fall.

[Angel was used to not being able to sleep. Often times, the pain of her treatment was too great for her to ignore, or the eridium left her too wired. Her body was already being held together by purple strings back then — insomnia wouldn't have done anymore damage.]

[Angel certainly was a little more vulnerable now that she was free of her father's machinations. Though her body indeed felt weary, her wits were still about her.]

[And those wits were telling her to laugh at the joke she had heard from the girl she passed by. A laugh that died in her throat as she saw the states both girl and pokemon were in.]

[ Kiah hadn't gotten to enjoy being outside often; actually, this was her first experience with it. When the flowers were drifting from the sky, she decided to sit down and enjoy it. After all, the only flowers she had seen were the one Aine made in the enclosed garden... ]

[ Her voice was quiet. Unfortunately, Kiah closed her eyes to relax, not realizing that she was slowly being buried in rose drifts. Someone help this poor girl...]

It was near the ocean, so trying to get people to higher ground was somewhat easy. She needed to be careful though, since she couldn't swim.

You can swim, it is not fair for the people who are not strong swimmers to be affected. Should you not try to help?

[You know what's more obnoxious then being stuck on a strange planet with no way of communicating the ship that you're suppose to be piloting?

Trying to wade through a sea of petals when you have two pretty crappy legs.

When Joker comes over the network he looks overly annoyed, the pilot having found a seat on a log to give his legs a rest while his Fletchling chirps merrily from it's perch on his hat.]

Is anyone else stuck in a river of flower petals or whatever the hell these are from? Because this is reaching levels of cheesy fairy tale that I am not okay with.

[The day had been going pretty well. He was tired, really tired, and he really needed to start thinking about a place to camp for the night before his legs gave out on him completely but Joker was being stubborn. He wanted to cover as much ground as possible before stopping, knowing full well that he was pushing his own limits but, well, it wasn't like he hadn't dealt with broken bones and the inability to walk before. Worse case scenario he would just hobble along....okay no. No he wouldn't. Fuck that.

Steps slowing, Joker finally started to veer off the path and finally settled down underneath a tree for the time being. His legs practically screamed in protest as he sank down as carefully as he could, bag resting on the ground beside him as his Fletchling came swooping down and landed on the ground beside him with a worried chirp.]

I'm fine, Two, I promise. Quit looking at me like that.

[It was like having EDI around all over again. The Fletchling chirps indignantly at him before hopping in a half turn, head cocking to one side.

Joker couldn't help but frown, glancing in the same direction with a squint.]

[And then he heard it. The low thrum of wings? Or something? It sounded like a swarm of--

[The pilot groaned and heaved himself up, snagging his bag and Fletchling in the process just as a small swarm of Illumise and Volbeats appeared, clearly on the hunt for food. Like the stuff he had in his bag.]

This place is great, Mr. Moreau! You'll love it, Mr. Moreau! [He scoffed as he started off, swinging his bag onto his shoulder as his Fletchling chirped in annoyance.] Love it my ass--Get off me! [Yep. Now he's got an Illumise clinging to his bag.]

The night time was the more comfortable time of day for Vincent to travel. It had nothing to do with any false rumors in regards to his state of existence. There were simply better chances of collecting the small strange creatures that were more akin to his.. personality.

The Spritzee fluttering along behind him was a bit... off.

It also failed to warn him that there were bug-mons approaching, though the sound of someone shouting at another person certainly drew his attention.

Strange that someone else was out in the evening time, this far out.

[Oh my gosh who is filming right now. All that can be seen is one bright blue eye, wide and very rarely blinking, as if the biological need for damp, clear eyes doesn't occur to this person until their eyes hurt. They look up, down, left, right, and gleam with unabashed glee.]

[The camera finally pulls away, revealing a woman with pink hair, some black showing in the back and peeking at the roots. Also, why is she stuttering?]

So, like, okay. So I woke up today, and surprise! You're a human, Rabbit! And then, second surprise! You've got a Mom, Rabbit! But s-she's not that great a Mom, 'cause she kicked me out of the h-house, but, okay! Whatever, right? But then I got a new friend!

Buuuneary, bun! [The Pokemon throws its arms up to punctuate this point. It's her, she's the friend!]

Aaand, I got this cool d-doodad, and some food, and some other stu-u-u-uff, so, like...[She looks thoughtful for a moment, then beams.] I have no idea what to do next!

[There's a short person with short, messy white hair wearing a black dress on the networks. They've let themselves sink into the flowers, heaping the petals onto their bodies in some strange attempt to bury themselves.

A little Goomy is burying herself beside them, obviously having a lot more fun than their trainer is. ...well okay, said trainer isn't having a bad time, they're just sort of...chill, right now.

It doesn't seem like either of them knows the Gear is on.

They do this for a while, until the trainer finally gets up and starts to walk off...only to accidentally slam their whole body into a tree, sending them tumbling down and sinking back into the abyss of flowers. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem like they weren't looking...more like they deliberately walked in, or perhaps expected that they'd just phase through]

[One day, they're working as a barista in the local Sawsbucks in Goldenrod when they serve you a drink...that has a tiny, tiny Frillish rocking to and fro on its waves. They stare at it for a moment, tears welling up in their eyes as they hang their head in embarrassment.]

oh... i'm sorry........................................

[And then the tears come. They pool on top of the counter, also attracting waves which, likewise, spawn mini-sized Frillish and Jellicent. My god.

They want to hide. They want to run far, far away from this absurdity, never to return and face another living being again...but still, there's a Frillish in your drink. They move to grab it.]

Nearby a man wearing regal clothing, a steel chest plate and a mask that only revealed seemingly yellow eyes was walking briskly by, a cape fluttering after his footsteps. Upon hearing a call for help, he paused and turned to find whoever was in distress.

Given the sea of flowers, it took Meta Knight a longer search than normal to find Napstablook. He carefully knelt beside him on one knee (it was still so strange to have knees, working out these new limbs was proving an awkward challenge) and looking over him from behind the mask.

"What happened?" He asked. His voice was impossibly deep, with a soft, Spanish lilt to his words.

[That definitely is a girl in New Bark Town...wearing a silver and blue 50-pound ceremonial outfit, just going by a rough estimate. Seriously. There's like, a bajillion things of jewelry and fifteen different layers and a tiara and a super long train. And the sparkles. OH GOD, the sparkles. She's every small child's daydream of what a fairy-tale princess ought to look like...

Or she would be, if she could just stop tripping everywhere and totally ruining the aesthetic. She stumbles, sending herself down again until she's finally helped up by her Spritzee. This takes a while, as the Spritzee has no arms and can only really nudge people and make interesting smells.

Finally, she manages to take the Pokegear into her hands and stare at it intently, frowning. The next comment from her comes at a low growl she forces under her breath:]

Really wish that they would have taken us at a more opportune time, if we're allowed any small mercies--

Oh.

[Her interest seems piqued by something else on the Gear, although she's left the recording on. As such, she lets herself be distracted by the features for a while, before finally figuring out what the damn thing is for, and... she has a question.]

Does anyone have an explanation for the daft woman who apparently thinks she's everyone's mother?

[ In one of the streets, surrounded by falling flowers is a man who looks like a cross between a knight and a count, wearing a chest plate, plated boots that went up and over his knees and pauldrons on his shoulders over a formal, elegant outfit. A deep navy cape fluttered in the wind, catching flowers and petals as they fell around him. His face is hidden by a steel mask, only revealing yellow, glowing eyes. When he speaks his voice is deep and low, with a soft accent. Beside him hovers a Honedge. ]

I am missing my sword, Galaxia. It is of utmost importance that I retrieve it. I tried to speak with the woman who found me but she did not make sense... [ Such as claiming to be his mother. ] I have been given this creature in it's place, but I cannot weld a living sword. Galaxia is golden, spiked and has a ruby embedded in the hilt. If it is found, please inform me immediately.

FLOWER SHOWER // Action on Route ??

Meta Knight had no problem with flowers. They were quite pretty actually, provided a comfortable seat when reading and were a part of the idealistic, colourful beauty of Pop Star. When the flowers began to fall from the sky he paused to observe their fluttering, catching a few in his hand before continuing on his path.

It became a problem when he attempted to sit and read for a little while. The flowers kept covering his book and slowly began to build up around him from a small pile to a growing heap. Even trying to retreat under a tree, ironically enough, didn't save him from the flora rainfall. He grunted in displeasure, snapping the book shut and rising. He shook off more flowers, brushing them form his shoulders and attempting to find somewhere he could read in peace. In peace from the flowers.

I have a question.

[Hello everyone, here's a woman looking like she was recently set on fire and looking incredibly annoyed.]

Does anyone know how to keep your Pokemon from setting you on fire when they're trying to be affectionate? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad my "Torchic" likes me. It's adorable [Judging by her tone and facial expression, she does not find it adorable.] but I want to get her to stop before she accidentally burns me to death.

On a similar note: does anyone know where I can find a fire extinguisher good for traveling? Because at this rate, I doubt I'll be allowed in any actual buildings.

Is this supposed to be what drinks on this planet are like?

[Sylvia eyes her Sawbucks drink closely, unsure of what to make of the tiny jellyfish in them. She normally wouldn't bat an eye at something like this, but she is pretty sure the last time she ordered one of these drinks there were definitely not little jellyfish floating around in them.

As she examines her drink closer, the coffee suddenly splashes her in the face and she is so glad she got an iced drink.]

... Okay, seriously, is this normal for drinks on this planet?

His Skarmory, however, has had no problems sleeping, and bops along happily behind him.

His quest for sleep had brought him to general store, looking for anything, ANYTHING at all that may be able to get him to sleep. He's even willing to try some drugs at this point. Any attempts at conversation are met with a grumpy snap]

[Eren's day at the beach is turning out to be more eventful than he could have ever imagined. After seeing it for the first time, he found that he just couldn't get enough of it. The sound of the waves, the smell of the air, it was all intoxicating!

I guess that means I'm not swimming today...

[A number of distressing things had happened in a very short amount of time for Napstablook. And here they were, in order:

1) They woke up in a human body.
2) They woke up with a small pumpkin cat sitting on their face.
3) Pumpkin cat seems harmless but it won't leave them alone??
4) They don't know how legs work, resulting in a human in their 20s trying to walk with the same amount of grace as a newborn deer.
5) This is not their house.
6) They don't know that human.

There was more, but those were the ones they thought of off the top of their head. The pumpkin cat keeps nudging them until their Pokegear falls out. Everyone can see a person with white hair crouched and faced towards a corner, inside the house they woke up in. The Pumpkaboo nudges the gear towards them, and then floats up to nudge their face.

The person doesn't move.]

[Napstablook had gone out for Pokemon supplies. While still very much not used to their human body, they were getting used to "walking" and "not hitting their face on walls and doors". Humans, Blooky decides, must lead very difficult lives.

But the point is, apparently Napstablook's new ghostly traveling companion wanted to stick with them, and the least they could do is make sure they were comfortable on this trip to... wherever they were going.

But halfway through town, they stop looking at the ground and glance up.]

[They can't seem to figure it out. The sleeping Pumpkaboo on their head doesn't have any answers either.]

[A discovery that's apparently enough to instantly wipe away all the worry and confusion, judging by the tone. The large figure stoops for a second, picking up Mom's bag of trail mix. There's a short pause, and the sound that might come from someone digging through a small bag of snack mix-]

[And we're back to distress. Worse than before, as the new arrival falls to his knees with a cry of pure agony.]

[It only took him five hours of messing with this contraption to turn it on, honest. He still isn't sure what it's for, but for the moment the tiny, trapped person is... interesting, at least? Interesting is good. It's distracting from a very, very uncomfortable situation.]

I'm concerned for her tail, though -- every time I try to remove the needles from it, she shies away. She must be in pain, but I'm at a loss of how to help without my -- ah, usual healing methods.

[Well this was... interesting.]

[One moment, Hawke was overwhelmed by a bright light, a dizzying dance of both red and white. The next, she was on her back on the floor of a quaint room. After only a few seconds, a woman burst into the room, chattering at the speed of light. Hawke only processed a few words of what she was saying. Something about being her daughter. About an adventure. She shoved a backpack into her arms and sent her off into the world.]

[She had to be dreaming. Even after she pinched herself a handful of times, even after she processed the wind against her face, she kept telling herself it had to be a dream.]

[She took a few steps before finding that her brain couldn't quite process both her whirling thoughts and the idea of moving in a straight line, and quickly plopped down in the grass.]

Maker's breath...

[Had Varric slipped her a heavier drink than she was used to? It didn't quite seem right — she could keep up with the best of them. Besides, the last thing she really remembered, aside from the incessant flashes in her head, was picking up a letter.]

[But then, how could she describe everything that she was seeing? The strange mother was one thing, but there was so much more. In "her" room, there was what looked to be a mirror, only it didn't really reflect much unless she stared closely at it. Strangely enough, there was a similar mirror in the common room, only it reflected other people. Perhaps it was magic, a long distance communication device. The same could be said about the fire encased in glass that she saw on each door step, and even in the house she could come from.]

Magic then. Freely used magic.

[Had she been whisked away to some magical commune, then? But, as Hawke noted how naked and light her back was, she figured that it wouldn't make sense to strip her of her staff.]

[The more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she became. Everything felt... strangely quiet. Dull even. It felt as if she had been plagued by an incessant ringing in her ears, only for it to stop out of nowhere.]

[But what was missing?]

[Her head throbbed, the dizzying dance of lights doing no good for her brain. Lifting a hand to her head, Hawke prepared herself to use her magic, to heal her headache in the same way that Anders had taught her.]

[The rush of magic didn't come.]

[It took her only a second to swipe her hand over to her forehead, painstakingly examining her skin for the sickening brand she had come to fear. She knew it was impossible, there was no way she was tranquil if she was feeling all of these emotions. But still she searched. She understood then why things felt so quiet, so empty.]

[She could no longer feel the fade.]

[Once she was satisfied that she hadn't been made Tranquil (or at least knew that there was no physical evidence) Hawke leapt to her feet. There was something happening here, there was something she was missing. And she was determined to interrogate every last soul until she understood what was going on.]

[She's almost skipping as she tries catching more and more flowers, finally stopping right underneath a tree. All the flowers smell so nice, so she's really taking in the nice scents. Of course, there are an awful lot of them... and a lot have caught on the tree branches above. Until finally there's simply too many and...]

Huh? [She looks up just in time to watch as a whole bunch of petals fall down... right on top of her.] Wah! [Thankfully it's just flowers, so there's no real harm done. But that sure is a little girl that just fell down into the sea of flower petals. Welp. Her hair is practically covered in petals too now.]
