[The first chance Giovanni gets, he's exploring the city. It was a far cry from any place he's been in Wishfield, and he does find himself staring at the department store in awe.]
What a large building. This is a store?
B) Origami
[While his stylist powers and control over Whim aren't available to him here, he's managed to get ahold of some ordinary origami paper, and is folding the cranes by hand. It's much more difficult than using Whim, but they turn out passable still. The repeated actions were pretty grounding too. He notices someone approach him, and looks up.]
Oh, hello. Would you care to join me? I have plenty of paper to share.
A. Exploring Goldenrod City
Cali goes to look up at the new coming as she perks up happily, "Also Hi there, I'm Calliope, but everyone calls me Cali, what's your name?"
no subject
"I am curious as to what they could be selling that they need all that space," He hopes clothes or origami paper are among the wares there. He was about to just walk inside on his own, but he supposes he should be polite, "I think I'll go check, would you care to join me?"
no subject
"I would love you join you for checking it out, I think it'll be a lot of fun to explore." Cali was eager to have a friend with her to explore the department store with, after all, it's part of adventure :'>
no subject
"Let's explore then. Ladies first," He says. He'll follow in behind her. It was just as eye catching to him on the inside with all the colorful posters and ads. "It doesn't seem like anything is being sold on this floor. Perhaps we'll find more further up?"
no subject
After getting the go ahead, Cali goes inside first as she checks out the insides with Giovanni, "Thank you, that was very sweet of Giovanni..though yeah I guess the shops is upstairs..though I'm impressed with all the posters on the first floor."

"Oh, what's wishflight paper like? That sounds super awesome!" Cali asked, her mind going onto a new subject as that paper has the coolest name ever.
no subject
"Wishflight paper was originally paper in my world made by the Wishing One, our god, in order for us to write our wishes and have them granted," Giovanni explained, "What I sell is a replica given the Wishing One died long ago. It can't grant wishes like the original wishflight paper, but it does act as a sort of conduit for them, if that makes sense," As he explained, he gestured elegantly around, as if that helped his story.

It's lots of stores. If there's something you want, you can probably get it there.
no subject
[He's never seen one indoors or vertical before.]
I wonder if there are any good clothing stores there. Though I suppose I should focus on supplies for traveling and training first.
[He looks over to Min.]
Have you been training for awhile? What supplies did you find the most useful?
no subject
[That's. Probably not what he means. This is a man who fully believes he is more fashionable than his father and is only occasionally right. Sorry, Giovanni.]
You can get a lot of different TMs, which is is useful when you're still starting out. A lot of the evolutionary items are only available from department stores too.
no subject
[Their definitions of practical are most definitely different though, given he comes from a place where fancy outfits have powers.]
Perhaps I should stick with TMs for now. I don't think any of my Pokemon are ready to evolve.
[Speaking of Pokemon, he notices the Mabosstiff is staying by the other guy's side.]
I wasn't aware that people kept their Pokemon outside of their Pokeballs. Is there a benefit to it?
no subject
She isn't out all the time, but it's still good for her to get out and stretch her legs.
Some Pokémon don't like them, and some trainers prefer to keep them out, but most don't mind being carried in their balls.
B)
I just might. However, paper is not a very, eh, enduring material. Have you thought about using wood or plastic or steel? Or stone? [Viktor asks, lightly. He's just curious. Why paper, that can crumble with a firm touch?]
no subject
[He looks down at the crane he just made, inspecting the creases on it. He wishes he could make it fly.]
Back home we used to fold our wishes into the cranes, and then burn them. However, right now, I'm mainly folding them because its familiar and relaxing.
no subject
[Burn them, huh? Despite himself, he recalls the Dean's words. But-]
If, instead of burning it, one shared cranes with one's friends, would that be, hmm, so against the tradition?
And can they fly?
no subject
[ Neither Stoneville nor Florawish did something like that with their wishes.]
Hmm...back home, while discussing wishes with each other is fine, the act of making them into cranes and burning them is about letting them go and lessening the burden. Why? Are you interesting in sharing your wish with someone?
Not these ones, but the ones made of Wishflight Paper could.
no subject
[the scientist's not familiar with this]
Perhaps. With my partner. If it's not too late to still share. Or we could - he and I - burn it together, if it's too much.
[he says that easily, with only a shadow of some doubt in his voice]
no subject
[Giovanni offers him some of the paper.]
I think that sounds like it would be lovely. Would you like me to show you how to make them?
no subject
[After considearation],
Let us compromise. You cannot take the body - mine- taken by god. What do You wish--

[Vader seemed so innocent to my mechanical answer.]
[Whispered] If I made you at home... we, ach, barely managed the storry says of hour movie.
[22 or 23 lvl. Shrugs /hhhhhhh ]
I know nothing about arcane, sorry if this response is weird
Alright, then I'll show you how.
[He pulls out another piece of paper, and starts slowly going through the motions of folding the crane, explaining each step along the way. Even though he went slower this time, the crane he made turned out a little rougher, probably because he was keeping a wary eye on the other.]
And that's it. I hope it helps with your and your partner's wishes.
I don't expect you to - and hey, your reply is great. (Also.Personally? Watch arcane, try first s1)
Mhm, he can make them. Cranes. Viktor's leg and lungs might not obey him, but manual stuff? Hands? Viktor can do anything with his fingers.]
Thank you.
I should buy my own paper.
[This may be just a flight of fancy, but, so what? Viktor's itching to make a crane]
[Surely it'll do nothing. But that's for the future to show him. For a moment, why not... 'hope'...?
It's on my to watch list. I just need to sit down lol
