Thace | Voltron: Legendary Defender
Thace doesn't know where he is (how he's alive) or who the Earthling is. All he knows is that nothing sounds-smells-looks-feels right and he plays along on instinct. In short order he's standing outside a door and clutching some kind of pack to his chest, taking in his surroundings in wary confusion.
It takes a minute or two for him to find a secluded (defensible) spot, and he's quick to stumble over and sink to the ground with his back against something sturdy. Then he just stares at his hands, then his toes, before feeling around where his ears aren't anymore with a small sound of dostress. Thace indulges in putting his face in his hands for a moment.
Three slow and measured breaths later, he straightens up and cautiously starts going through the contents of his bag.
New Bark/Route 29: info gathering
Thace is wandering around the area in a black belt's outfit. He looks purposeful but anyone watching him closely might notice that he manages to linger in hearing range of conversations when he encounters them.
And then, when the conversation appears over (or right away, if the person is alone) he approaches with a disarming smile. "Hello. I'm a traveler new to this region and I was wondering what you could tell me about it."

"Nothing really useful." Like, say, a weapon. She'd found a few things in her own pack she's certain she can use if her back's against the wall, but nothing that compensates for the loss of her claws.

New Bark
She's finishing up a phone call that Thace might pick up the tail end of when he approaches her. A sleek Sylveon trots along at her side, while a Pachirisu is perched on her shoulder. "--just finished up my meeting, so we can head back to Kanto whenever you're ready." A brief pause, a laugh. "I know. I love you too, Keith. See you in a moment."
Of course, Allura never met Thace, and without the more distinct Galra features, there's no reason for her to assume he is one. She still bears her Altean markings, however, and she was lucky enough to retain those pointed ears of hers. Anyone who knew what the princess of Altea shouldn't have any trouble recognizing her.
"Oh, are you newly arrived? I've been where you are, and it... is quite disorienting, at first. This is New Bark Town, in the Johto region. From here, you can take Route 29 to Cherrygrove, then Violet City, and so on. Your pokemon--you were given a pokemon companion, were you not?"

Arrival
Catra | She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
There are two major factors in Catra's current predicament: first, that she hadn't balked at a single challenge along Route 29, and second, that she's never really had a chance to try ice cream before. And so after questioning a vendor about just what, precisely, ice cream even is, she's used a significant portion of her early winnings to get one of every flavour.
Which is a lot of ice cream, currently arrayed on the picnic table before her like a daunting confectionary rainbow. She licks carefully at a spoonful of something that is probably but not definitely chocolate, grimaces slightly, and puts the bowl down on the ground for the small pastel horse waiting patiently in the shade of a tree for her trainer to finish with this particular ill-advised adventure.
That still leaves a lot of ice cream. Maybe someone should relieve her of some of it.
Violet City
Catra understands competition. Proxy battles, too, she understands - and with the pokemon as populous as they are, why not use them to resolve any differences? But despite how interested nearly everyone she's encountered seems to be in the training and battling of the strange creatures, any attempts to find out just who all this preparation is meant to conquer - or even to defend against - has been met with confusion and recycling of news she isn't even the slightest bit interested in from the locals.
Today, though, one of the local trainers has opted to challenge the master of the city's training arena, which seems to have drawn something of a crowd - which, fortunately, appears to contain a few people who look unusual enough that they probably aren't local, and might be a little less inclined to pretend there isn't some driving force behind the obsession with combat between magical creatures.
Eventually, halfway through the challenge match, she'll sidle up to one of these probable-outsiders to ask, "What's the real point of this?"
Cherrygrove
Going over and asking isn't going to happen.
Thankfully, there are pokemon for that.
Stevie, the little baby Absol who hasn't managed to grow more than a couple inches in the couple weeks since his hatching, stumbles right over on his little stilt legs and asks plaintively of the Ponyta, "Absol?" Are you sharing, big colorful friend? That's a lot of good-smelling stuff.

Claudia Kishi | The Baby-Sitters Club
One minute Claudia had been waking up in an unfamiliar room that definitely was not her room--not only did it not look like her room or have its own phone, but it didn't have any hidden candy either because she'd checked--and then next a woman who said she was Claudia's mom but was so not Rioko Kishi that it was time for her Pokemon Journey and handed her a backpack and ushered her out the door! Before she'd even had time to get a good outfit together!
Granted, Claudia had already been dressed when she'd lay down on her own bed back home in hopes of getting in a good half-hour's nap before Kristy and the others showed up for the first pre-high school meeting of the Baby-Sitters Cl...
"Oh my lord," Claudia swears out loud, in the middle of New Bark Town. "I'm going to be late to the BSC meeting. Kristy is gonna kill me."
New Bark/Route 29
After Claudia had finished freaking out about how very thoroughly Kristy Thomas was going to murder her once she finally found her way back to Stoneybrook--because Kristy took things way too seriously sometimes--there really wasn't anything to do but start walking. The fake definitely not her mom had stuck a map in the bag, so she sort of had an idea where the next city was... if not how to get there.
Claudia had no idea where 'Johto' was supposed to be, but that was evidently where she was.
Further examination of the bag showed that it a lot of really basic stuff and some other things that Claudia wasn't really sure why she had, including all these white and red balls. One of them, she notices, is a little heavier than the others. She picks that one up. Presses the little button. There's a flash of light and--
"Smeargle!" proclaims the little creature standing in front of Claudia, that she can only assume is some of paintbrush dog.
"Oh my lord," says Claudia.

Hi. I'm Claudia Kishi. People have told me this is where I should go to advertise any businesses, so that's why I'm here to offer my services as a babysitter! And a pokesitter. I'm not sure how many people here actually are grown ups or have kids, but I know everyone here has a Pokemon. Just send me a message on here to let me know?

Lotor | Voltron: Legendary Defender
He woke to the sound of a voice insisting that he was late. Groggy and at first not realizing that it was not Axca or Ezor chiding him as they usually did when he managed to fall asleep deeply enough to need waking, it took Lotor a few ticks to realize that he was in a room quite far from High Command, or Allura's Castleship.
Still, the voice was insistent, and Lotor found himself rising from the bed to open the door and take the pack the seemingly human woman gave to him. His movements were awkward and there was the odd sensation of being shorter tan he normally was, but he brushed it aside as unimportant for the moment. Upon exiting the building, he found the path rather easily. Before stepping onto it, however, he was stopped by a catlike creature announcing itself simply as "Purrloin!"
It resembled Kova quite a bit, and before he knew it he had knelt to extend a hand to the creature...and realized his hand was not the shade he was used to. His claws also seemed to have disappeared, though his fangs seemed unchanged. The forelock of hair that insisted on maintaining its position in front of his eyes was dark, nearly black...and as he dipped his head further, more dark hair surrounded his face.
Disconcerted, the hand not extended before him went to his ear, thankful to find that the point remained. The ear itself seemed smaller than it generally did, however.
"What manner of dream is this?" he asked softly, hand still extended to the catlike creature who promptly made a sound and used to it climb to his shoulder. "Coming with me then, are you?" he asked, smiling a little despite himself. "I confess that I do not know our destination."
Route 29
Lotor's entire life had been a series of long marches, but this one was quite the experience. Still, there were many others traveling the path and he observed them calmly, studying the mannerisms of those he passed.
Before terribly long, he stopped to offer the creature on his shoulder some sustenance as well as take some for himself, scoffing at the clothing he was adorned in as it was appropriate for the Super Nerd class, though he didn't know that as yet. The manual and other information were comforting, but he wanted to travel as much as he could before nightfall and reading them took time. He was also lacking any weaponry, so dalliance was not something he could afford.
Wildcard
I'm not as familiar with the setting as I should be, but will be researching more very soon. Any sort of topic or prompt is fine with me!
New Bark
She's standing across the street from him in an outfit of pastel pinks and blues, her gear in her hand and a bolt of fabric balanced against her shoulder. The door opening and closing draws her attention from the text she's typing, but only for a moment; there's something familiar about him, to be sure, but his dark hair and the very un-Galra shade of her skin means that the most she does at the moment is nod an acknowledgement before returning to her text.
Or she would, except his tapered ears earn him a second, more lingering glance, and then another look at the house behind him. A new arrival, then. The thought of approaching to greet him and answer any questions he must have crosses her mind. She certainly remembers how disoriented she'd been upon her arrival. Something in her gut holds her in place, however, as she takes in his familiar features.
Rather than offering to help as intended, Allura turns on her heel and starts to walk away at a brisk pace down the sidewalk.

New Bark
I'm so sorry, thought for sure I'd already replied! Feel free to ignore
Zero | Make A Good Mega Man Level
Zero was confused.
His surroundings were completely foreign to him. Gone were the brown walls, grey bricks, pink piping, and numerous lasers, cannons, pits, and enemies of the SRARA HQ, and in its place was a quiet town, much smaller than Mega City. Duo was nowhere to be found, either. He tried to contact Agent Krantz for information on this place, but the Z-Phone was missing.
A human had given him a bag and rushed him out the door of the house he had woken up in. When he had looked inside the bag, he saw multiple strange objects, including a half-red, half-white sphere with a button on it. He'd look into these objects more once he'd gotten his bearings.
He decided to ask the first person he saw what this place is. Seeing someone, he began to approach them, sliding more than walking. Once he was near enough, he began to say, "Pardon me, but do you know what this place is?"
Route 29
Inside the sphere was an odd creature, seeming to be some sort of red and blue animal with legs that resembled treads, and strangely flat surfaces.
While walking through the path, he came across some sort of bird, which promptly flew at him, pecking at his face. He was about to use his buster to take care of it, before remembering that it, and all his other weapons were gone. He tried to brush it away, only for it to come right back. It seemed he was defenseless in this place. The only way to get through battles was running.
He was about to flee, before the flat-surfaced creature he found in the sphere jumped at the bird, tackling it. What was this creature?
Padak | The One Fish Movie Where Everyone is Happy and Has a Good Time
[Padak's had some time to collect herself - she still feels like she's in some kind of horrible nightmare (and really, the nightmare was obvious). But she finds herself near the ocean shore. She's learned earlier on that while she can't go back to the ocean, she can still enjoy it somewhat like this, with her new feet dipped in the cool water.
She gently takes the Pokeball she was given, and places it at the edge of the water and pushes the button. A little Wishiwashi emerges, and begins swimming around happily. Padak smiles to herself.]
Does it feel nice, Spotty? Tell me what it's like, would you?
Fish meets birb
After having registered the warp for the waterside city, Willow had decided to go back to get some more pokemon, and when she wandered to the water's edge to see if any of the fish pokemon would be pleasant enough to come to the shore, she sees a cute and tiny fish with its trainer talking to it.]
Oh my, that is a very cute fish. I do not believe I've seen that one yet.
[Easy enough to see that the polite redhead isn't human, what with those ears and longer canines.]

Romelle | Voltron: Legendary Defender
Things had been quite the adventure so far. Coran would be proud and thrilled, Romelle was fairly certain. She'd been attempting to handle most of this with a decent sense of dignity. She was taking a break at the moment, having settled down alongside the path with her new stufful partner to snack of some of the supplies her 'mom' had sent her off with. It wasn't terrible, at least, and stufful seemed quite happy to share these 'poffins' with her.
She'd been luckier than some, escaping the changes by already being fairly human looking. Her ears were still pointed and her blue markings were still in place. She did notice that her stamina didn't seem to be up to snuff, like she was weaker than she was used to (Alteans were stronger than humans, but she hadn't quite put two-and-two together there, yet), so taking breaks were apparently a thing now. Most people didn't seem to notice, as if her taking the breaks she was taking wasn't abnormal, even if it was to her.
She watched anyone who might happen past, but, unlike the locals, she didn't immediately jump up and demand a Pokémon battle at making eye-contact. If anything, she might just look confused and worried.
=====
Five Island/Chrono Island
While the colony Romelle had grown up in had breezes and some mild weather, it was still an artificial environment. That meant kites weren't exactly something she'd ever experienced. However, now, she stood in the meadow and watched, fascinated with the colors and the way they stayed in the air on the wind. Some of them were beautiful with long tails and bright colors. There were all levels of skill around her, too, and she watched some people doing fancy tricks with dives and rolls and spins.
She was so entranced that someone might want to get her attention before she got beaned in the back of the head by a little kid just learning to fly his own kite!
Route 29
As he continued along the path, sliding more than walking, he saw a person different than the ones he had seen in this "New Bark Town" place, with pointed ears, something that none of the humans he had seen possessed. Perhaps this person could answer some of his questions. He began to approach them, and once he was nearby, he asked, "Pardon me, but do you know where this place is?"

Jules Thibault | Changeling: the Lost OC
If anyone was having a nice, quiet day, so sorry. Jules has arrived. Jules is waking up. There's a hideous high-pitched almost-wailing sort of shriek, and then a too-tall, too-gangly man comes scrambling out of that arrival room in a flailing, shouting dramatic panic, sounding some sort of alarm, wearing nothing but a pair of boxers because of course that's just how his day is going to go.
Inside the room, a Porygon carefully peeks around the corner at the suddenly panicking human--who is panicking because he is suddenly a human, yes, thank you--and asks, "Pory?"
This causes the poor screaming fool to scream louder.
[Route 34]
Jules has acclimated. A little. A tiny bit. He's fully dressed like a normal human being now even if finding clothes to fit his seven-foot-tall frame was difficult, it's an improvement. And he's definitely going out to take a walk out in the wilderness around Goldenrod, how hard could this be?
Hard. Very hard. He's somehow managed to irritate not one, not two, but a small horde of Joltik, and they are hopping after him in tiny, angry pursuit, sending sparks after him.
There's a wild throw of a Pokeball as he's fleeing, and the Porygon pops out. "I don't know!" Jules cries to it. "Just fix it!"
Wow rude that is a lot to expect of just one Porygon, gosh.
They could probably use some help.
Rocket Hideout
He sets down his briefcase and holds his hands up in front of him in a calming gesture, trying to make his voice as soothing as possible.
"Hey," he says, calmly but firmly. "Hey. It's okay. Really. Nobody's going to hurt you here. You're not in any danger." And then, making a guess as to what might be the problem, "Did you just wake up in an empty dorm room with nothing but a note and a pokeball?"
I should probably be sorry
don't be; he is a bad man and he deserves this headache.

Shinobu Tsukuyomi | Changeling: The Lost/Mage OC
To say that Shinobu is displeased to find himself waking up in a strange place with a total stranger calling herself his mother and treating him as if he's her child is a massive understatement. Shinobu has a history with this kind of thing, although his Keepers hadn't styled themselves as his parents. Still, even that difference isn't enough to keep the panic at bay completely, much to his 'mother's' alarm when she bursts into the room and he immediately starts hyperventilating.
Fortunately at that point, memories also start returning, albeit slow and fragmented, and with a dreamlike quality that almost sends him under again because it's too much like his memories of Arcadia, but... yes, he remembers this place. Not this place exactly, but he remembers being told of it when he'd been in... Goldenrod? With Gil and the two Stevens and... Thorne. Who had been human then but was back to being a ghost at home, and he needs to be there to keep her summoned or else... but wait, hadn't one of the Stevens told him that time won't pass there while he's here? Someone had, anyway...
Eventually, he's able to pull himself together enough to continue with the expected charade (which honestly makes him feel dirty, for all that 'Mom' seems genuinely concerned for him) and soon enough he's in the town proper, followed closely by a small white unicorn with a large amount of pastel-colored hair. He supposes that's fitting, although it also reminds him of... things. Then again, that's not the Pokemon's fault. Right now, they're standing before the route out of town. "So I suppose we're doing this?" he asks the creature, and gets something akin to a shrug in response.
It's going to be a long day.
Ecruteak City
There is quite a lot Shinobu doesn't like about this place - most notably its superficial resemblances to the Hedge and Arcadia, but there are other things. For one, his powers don't work... mostly, anyway; he still has at least some ability to comprehend Ghost Pokemon, although it's severely curtailed and limited to their emotional states. Other than that, he's just a normal human, for the first time in literal decades. Shinobu's not sure he remembers how to be a normal human.
On the plus side, though, at least now people won't look at him and literally see what they want to see. It's oddly freeing to know he's going to only look one way to people here.
He's... adjusting, for the most part. He doesn't particularly like the constant battling, but his Ponyta doesn't have that problem - and neither do the other Pokemon he's picked up on his travels. So if nothing else, he's well protected, although he still doesn't feel right leaving the battles entirely to them. Then again, it's not like he has a choice.
He probably should make his way towards Goldenrod City, if only to drop in on Steven the Younger (and probably ruin his day somewhat, as the man sure hadn't seemed to like him last time), but right now he's in Ecruteak, which is an oddly comfortable place to be, if only because it's full of Ghost Pokemon. He can even be found chatting with them on occasion - as much as he can, these days - although the library is also a safe bet if one is looking for him. The Ghosts seem to appreciate the attention, at least; hopefully they won't take offense if they're interrupted.
Goldenrod City
Well, he's made it to Goldenrod, finally, and now that he's not being shunted here, there, and everywhere seemingly at random like he was the last time, he's taking some time to actually explore it. As always, his Galarian Ponyta is at his side, occasionally joined by a few Ghost Pokemon as well. The Ponyta in particular seems to be on the lookout for potential threats, despite being maybe three-quarters of a meter tall at most. Granted, Shinobu himself is on the short side, but still.
Shinobu, for his part, is polite to anyone who approaches him, but he too is wary; he's just much better at hiding it. Still, he's not going to say no to conversation, especially if it comes with actual useful information.
Goldenrod
He seems much less inclined to make vague threats at Shinobu than he was when Shinobu was here over the weird weekend. Possibly this is directly related to Shinobu not presently being in the company of Steven's recently enfleshed little sister.

Sasami Masaki Jurai | Tenchi Muyo!
“UWAH! Wh-where...?!” Sasami blinked as she looked around at her surroundings. This was... A PokeCenter. Viridian City’s to be exact. How did she end up here again? Even more, did she still have the Pokémon she had captured and earned? It took her awhile to figure out everything, but now she had one question: “What do I do now?”
Viridian Forest
Don’t hit the Beedrill nest, don’t hit the Beedrill nest...
Her Buneary hit the nest and now the two of them were on the run from the horde of bees after them.
“I told you to watch out!” Sasami yelped, running through the path back.
“Buuuuuun!” Buneary cries out, crying it’s eyes out.
“Someone help us!” Sasami cried out.
Pewter City.
There was no way she was challenging the first gym on an empty stomach, but she needed something than simple travel mix, thus she is eyeing any sorts of grocery stores for good food to use to cook.
And right now she’s standing on a Geodude to look over some of the vegetables on a stand.
“Sorry, Mr. Geodude, but I am kinda short...” Sasami apologized.
“Dude...” the rock grunted.

The voice is familiar to him--enough to make him stop short, Iceheart trotting along a bit further before turning to look at her trainer curiously.
Impossible. (If it were anywhere but this place.)
He spins on his heel, eyes wide as he looks around. It doesn't take long to spot her--not a great number of exceedingly tall people with long white hair about, and immediately starts towards her, his Ninetales following behind.
"Lady Iceheart!"
(Nevermind the Ninetales' ears perking at the sound of what she knows as her own name. Nevermind that at all. He totally didn't name his Pokemon after her in a fit of nostalgia.)

Nappa | DBZ (oh god)
Normally, normally someone would probably be disoriented by being in a new place that is... well, unfamiliar. Waking up in a bed that is much too small for them and being confronted by some absolutely stupid and ridiculous note. Great, good.
It's almost as if it's a more incompetent version of Frieza's army and he can't say he's terribly fond of the comparison. Ignoring the uniform entirely for the moment he huffs to himself and heads out, ducking down through the doorway that is very clearly not meant for someone around 6'10" and built like a brick shithouse.
Perhaps it's even worse that he's ignoring literally any native Rocket that's trying to tell him to put clothes on that's not a glorified pair of spandex underwear or to get to training. Really, why would he listen to someone puny like that?
Uh, maybe it's a good idea that someone gets him to stop in this stupid endeavor before the higher ups get pissed the hell off with their newest "recruit".
[Just hmu if you want to do something with this idiot outside of the one prompt. That was just the easiest to roll with. fjlskdfje]
Karamatsu Matsuno | Osomatsu-san
[New Bark Town. this certainly is not home. but it feels cozy, anyway, and has Karamatsu relaxed. he asks very few questions as he's ushered out by a kind-looking woman. she seems to think she's his mother, but she's not. that's fine. he stands on the proch for a moment, looking dazed and confused, and holding his backpack. people wave to him like they know him, and tell him to be careful on Route 29]
Hmmm~? Is that where I should go, then?
[who is he talking to?]
Heh! Adventure waits for no man! Allons-y!
[yeah, he's definitely talking to himself. off he goes, marching with his backpack. his mother said something about there being a man inside the backpack? but all he finds in there are some clothes, and snacks, a book on... Breeding Pokémon? and then that red and white ball. no tiny men in the backpack.
...unless what she said was whatever this Pokémon thing is. (why does that word sound so familiar?)
anyway, Karamatsu likes the ball, for some reason. he still has so many questions, but there's something quite mysterious about this ball. he wants to know its secrets! maybe if you're walking by, Karamatsu will notice that you, also, have a ball or two on your belt, or in your hand. please help him]
Excuse me! Can you tell me what is inside this ball? Everyone that's passed seems to have some! Are they fashion statements?
[what]
II) Alph Ruins
[by now, Karamatsu is getting the hang of this Pokémon thing. he is, what the locals call, a Pokémon Breeder! that sounds... interesting, he chooses not to think too hard about it. anyway, he's come out to the Ruins today to explore, maybe make a few new Pokémon friends. his PokéGear is giving him some trouble, though.
so he's decided to simply wander, gaze upon the Ruins in all their beauty. it's nice, being away from home... he enjoys exploring. he just wishes he knew how he got to this world]
III) Goldenrod City
[some more wandering later, and Karamatsu has finally made it to the beautiful city of Goldenrod. it reminds him of home, a bit, especially the department store, which is where he goes immediately to buy things for his journey. his red apron is nice, but he wants something more... blue. maybe with feathers or sequins.
you'll find him going back and forth between one ensemble to the next, deciding if he has enough money for this or that... oh, check out those sunglasses! he needs them to look dashing!
who ever saw a Pokémon Breeder with sunglasses?]
IV) wildcard

III
Albeit being a red-hoodied gremlin with an equally-gremlin like Trapinch on his shoulder. But. Y'know. Some things can't be helped. He steps inside the department store, and breathes in the Fancy Air.]
Whooo~eeee. Smell that big city air, Snappy. We ain't got nothin' like this back home.
[Snappy gives him an odd look, confounded by the sudden Southern accent, but that's fine. His Pokemon just doesn't understand comedy. Give it time. Though as he's walking in, he freezes. That's...a suspiciously identical-looking person. He's shocked for a moment, but refuses to let the anxiety sit in until later. This is fine. Everything's fine. It's just one of his brothers is here and he's a CRIMINAL...
Snappy clicks his little jaws. Then he nuzzles Osomatsu's head. Right. It's fine. Well. Can't avoid this forever. So he does what he always does with his worst problems...and represses them behind a smile. He approaches--and now he can tell for sure. Ah. Yep. That's Kara.
...That's even worse, because he's pretty sure Ichi or Jyushi would've at least given criminal life the benefit of the doubt, whether it be from 'well, this is what we were all meant for anyway' apathy or just general obliviousness...Painfulmatsu has a surprisingly good moral compass, on Matsuno standards. That's still fine, though.
So now he's right next to him. And snickering.]
Niiiiiiiice apron. Really like the color there.
[Once he's looked at, he smirks, waving one hand.]
Yo~ didn't know you were here.

Robert E. O. Speedwagon | JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (lol I'm stupid)
[Waking up in a place that's entirely unfamiliar and being met with the most ridiculous note and being told you're pretty much stuck here is not the ideal situation. Speedwagon knows this quite well at this point, especially when the last thing he remembers is... absolutely not all of this and he knows damn well where he last fell asleep. Annoying.
Even more obnoxious is this nonsense about having to "train" and he's letting out a soft huff of breath as he grabs his black and white checkered top hat that had been so kindly set on the table at the side of the bed and rights it on his head. Can't have that go missing, after all.
There's only so long he can put this off and the heat is even more obnoxious, but such is life when you wear three layers of clothing, including a jacket. Which at least he's smart enough to leave behind, leaving him with just a white dress shirt, black slacks, and brown boots. It's at least less dating than if he'd kept the tie, sweater vest, and coat.
Either way he's finally making his way into the base proper and heading towards the whole "training" nonsense looking none-too-thrilled about the matter.]
Bloody useless, that note was. Didn't even tell me where to go, am I just supposed to assume or wander until I find the damned thing? Such poor design for something claiming to be a "criminal organization". I've seen street urchins run better organizations... [That last part is luckily muttered under his breath as he moves with little clue of where he's even going.]
Network
[Right, time to figure this nonsense out. It doesn't seem too difficult and luckily he's figured out the voice option was before the video one. Lovely.]
Well, this place is certainly quite different than what I'm used to. The weather being a lot hotter being one of the many things, but the technology here is absolutely fantastical. Never would I expected communication to be like this and from anywhere, at that? So convenient.
I've been informed there's a lot that's quite different from what I may be used to. But I'm nothing, if not pliable in learning new things around me, so I doubt it will be a problem.
But, if I may, is this a rare occurrence to have this sort of... experience or is technology like this further ahead than most?

Sans Gaster | Undertale
[So it's safe to say at this exact moment, he was feeling more than a little confused and disoriented. Sans had been through a lot of things in his life - a lot - but waking up to find someone, a human at that, wholly unfamiliar calling herself his 'mother' was a bit shocking. Moreso when he remarked that through appearance alone it should be obvious that 'i'm not your kid, lady'...and he'd looked at his hands, only for them to be entirely human as well.
This was perhaps the strangest timeline he'd ever gone through, and that was saying a lot. The former-skeleton let out a long sigh as he walked outside, stretching, taking a look around. Peaceful town. There was something about 'Pokemon', he remembered. Poke...mon. Pocket...monsters?
He'd contemplate the ethics over a former monster owning a 'pocket monster' later. For now, he hummed, tossing the ball down he'd gotten, only to see a small ghostlike being with a skull face pop out of it. Aw. Sweet little thing.]
hey there. you doin' okay?
[He crouched down, talking to the monster softly. It apparently couldn't speak, but that was fine - not all monsters could. Not easily. He rubbed his chin, and tried sign language with it, but it still stared at him in confusion and bewilderment until he let out a little sigh.]
didn't catch that either, huh? well. tibia honest, i'm just as scared as you are here, i think. and i can't imagine you were having a ball trapped in this. [He gestured to the pokeball, and the little ghostlike creature almost appeared to laugh. Sans's eyes glistened, as his smile grew a bit more genuine.] y'like my material? we're gonna be best friends, i think. i'm gonna call you...paps. though you get my material a lot better than the other paps i know...
[ Goldenrod ]
[It took him a bit, but eventually Sans arrived in Goldenrod, 'Paps' floating right by his side. His arms remained folded behind his head as he walked, taking a look around.]
what a big city. it's so weird to walk in the middle of a place like this and not get any stares. i guess it's hard to know exactly what i mean, but back home...monsters weren't exactly that high on the surface-living totem pole.
[He's never quite sure if the little companion of his understands him, but he seems to. And he refuses to underestimate his intelligence.]
it was a really big heard-but-not-seen kinda thing. it's hard to explain, but...
[He pauses when he sees that Paps has paused, and is staring at the big department store. He chuckles softly, looking at the store, then at his pokemon.]
...you'd probably look good with a red scarf, y'know? really sell your image. c'mon, let's go inside.
[He walks inside, the ghost-pokemon floating along beside him.]
now, we can't get anything pricey, but we can definitely get you a red scarf. okay? just don't clothes your mind too much to all the options.
[ Blackthorn City ]
[While the cold might bother some people, Sans is more than used to it. It's comfortable, even. Reminds him of home. This doesn't mean he hasn't changed a bit - mostly only just swapping out his normal basketball shorts for a pair of warmer pants - but, y'know. Living in Snowdin for a while had its advantages.]
...pretty comfy here, huh?
[Paps, on the other hand, looks cold. Sans frowns, just a tad, before he raises the pokeball up.]
not your thing. okay. would you be warmer in here? is it okay if i put you in here?
[Paps seems to have no objections, at any rate, so he recalls his pokemon, putting the pokeball up.]
well, now things are a lot more lonely. ehh, ah well. i'll make the best of it. there's an inn somewhere around here, right...?
Goldenrod!
My apologies! I did not see you, are you alright? I did not injure you did I?
[The murkrow on her shoulder insists on cawing, specifically at the duskull.] Lythie hush, do not be rude!

Amity Blight | The Owl House
[The pokemon centers are great places for social gatherings. All trainers need to stop there for rest and healing, and they're usually the most iconic landmarks in any given town, making it easy for friends traveling down different routes to meet up fast. However, there's one girl here that isn't using this stop to be friendly; Amity has what looks like half a shelf's worth of library books spread out on one of the tables in the lobby, all tabbed and open to different pages. It looks like she's studying up on battling, and looks from one book to another as she jots some notes down on a small pad.
Despite her focus on her work, occasionally she'll pull a small treat out from a bag propped up in her clutter, leaning down and feeding the nidoran napping at her feet.]
Water washes away fire. Fire melts ice. Ice kills plantlife in winter. Grass...
[Hm. Seems like she's studying type advantages?]
[B; Any Random Route]
[Training pokemon is hard. Training pokemon who have vastly different personalities is harder. Take Amity's pokemon, for instance; Otabin the Nidoran was a good boy. Eager to fight and play and happy to listen to her orders. He was more than just her pokemon; he was a friend. A companion that Amity might say she even loved.
On the other side of the coin, however...]
Abomination, rise!
[In front of her is a Grimer. A normal old grimer, burbling and grumbling and hunched over in a slimy purple mound. Amity holds her hand up, like one might do when teaching a dog to stand on its hind legs, but the blob just. lays there.]
I said, rise!
[... No dice. The grimer seems to sink even lower to the ground, now resembling a very toxic puddle.]
Ugh, why won't you listen????
[C; Wildcard]
[Open prompt! Throw anything at me! If you wanna toss some ideas around beforehand, feel free to message me at

AMITY!!
[Luz nearly trips over herself trying to get over to where Amity is, her mouth in a wide smile.]

Ichimatsu Matsuno | Osomatsu-San
This... was not home. He knew those four walls very well. They were safe. Sanctuary. He could just hide away and not worry about appearances or... life.
This was not that. His body felt stiff and he could feel sweat already building up in uncomfortable corners of his body. He just stood outside the house he'd woke up in, looking down at the bag in his hands. None... of it made sense. Maybe his brothers pulled some annoying scheme while he was sleeping...
His discomfort with the small town led him to walk right out, even if it meant going into the tall grass at the exit of the town. "Gah! Why doesn't anyone cut this?!" He craved pavement and society.
Pewter City:
Ichimatsu eyed the rocky terrain with... mild disdain. He eyed the sign for the rock gym with much more disdain. And then his eyes fell down to the Shinx at his side that wasn't even looking at him. He tried to feel that same disappointment at his horrible type matchup... but it was a cat. Cats were wonderful. He couldn't be upset.
But, they wouldn't win a gym battle like this. He sighed, feeling his shoulders weigh down as he considered his options. The only one that seemed remotely doable was just... finding another pokemon to train up to fight this. So much effort. "Ugh..." Ichi did an about-face and slumped back the way they came. His Shinx took a moment to notice Ichi's change in direction, quickly bounding after him.
Pewter City
Until he hard a familiar dejected sigh. Too familiar. His niichan senses were tingling. Snappy, sensing this tension, immediately looked alarmed, but Osomatsu bolted off towards the direction of the sigh. Seeing the source...he nearly tackled him, running in for a hug.]

Rocket Headquarters
[A certain new recruit has been in the dormitory for, perhaps, a little too long. Presumably, he's only been in there for that long because nobody has noticed him yet, but... he's bound to be noticed as soon as anybody walks by. After all, he seems to be talking to someone.]
Even the training, Boss?... Right, of course. To get a feel for how this organization works. ... Yes, I'll keep you updated, sir. ... Er, Boss, are you sure you'll be okay? I don't mean to intrude, obviously, but I still don't understand exactly what your current position...
[Catch him off-guard, and you might be able to tell he's speaking into his PokéGear - at least until he screams and flails in surprise, dropping it.]
Network
[The video feed is of a pink-haired young man with freckles. His arguable taste in fashion is mostly obscured by a) the blurriness of the feed as he adjusts the angle and zoom level and b) the Magikarp he proceeds to drag into view, and which he has also thoughtfully placed into a little tub filled with water.]
Hey, can I get a little help here? Nurse Joy says there's nothing wrong with it, but it HAS to be sick.

Kai | Story of Seasons/Harvest Moon
[It's only been a few days since Kai's arrived in Goldenrod, but after saving up the earnings he had to scrape together getting here, he's secured exactly what he needs to run a little food stall in a public vendor space. This is the job he's needed (and missed); serving good food to good people.
Of course, he's not altogether familiar with all of the ingredients in Pokeland, so he's maybe learning on the job a little.]
This is... Maybe the biggest boiled egg I've ever seen.
[Kai kind of stares at the precooked egg on his cuttingboard in confusion, before looking back over his shoulder at the scorbunny sitting on the cooler. Scorbunny kicks its legs while it sits with its mouth open as though waiting for Kai to feed it.]
Yeah, buddy? You ready to eat?
Gonna eat stir fry with some of this?
[Kai dangles a pre-packaged slowpoke tail in from of the scorbunny playfully, who simply claps at it, perhaps not comprehending it's food and not a toy just yet. Grinning, Kai puts the tail back next to the egg on the cutting board.]
Hold on, it'll be just a while yet.
[The stall is outside where people tend to pass by, so one could interrupt him now...
..or they could wait to be drawn over by the wafting scent of food cooking on Kai's new outdoor range. While Scorbunny sits on the cooler behind the table and drools, Kai shuffles noodles and vegetables and berries and those weird ingredients from earlier in a deep pan.
After handing off a fresh plate to scorbunny, Kai begins to flag passersby.]
Hey! Check it. Free sample?
Marlin | Harvest Moon
[Pokemon training is slow going for Marlin, although that's not very surprising. Even without counting how absolutely bizarre this situation is, his specialty has always been raising crops as opposed to animals. Plants can't argue or do anything unpredictable, or at least that's how they should be. Here? Here it seems a lot of plants are also animals, and it's causing him to struggle with his newest team member.
A Petilil in this case, one that squirms in a little soil-filled pot Marlin managed to snag from Goldenrod before getting the hell out of there. There's no way he's staying in a city longer than he has to, but the nearby park isn't so bad, the air is much fresher and doesn't make his body feel like it's going to fall apart any second.
He figured his new little vegetable with eyes would appreciate it too, bringing her to a bench to sit down and gather his strength for the next stretch of travel, but his efforts to please her seem to be in vain.]
How do you expect to get proper nutrients if you don't stay in soil...
[Marlin's starter pokemon, a very bright-eyed Happiny, can't help but coo in awe at finally having a new friend, but yelps in surprise when the lively bulb springs out of her clay prison and starts hopping to the nearest trainer and/or pokemon. It looks like she wants to battle...]
Just ignore her, she's misbehaving.
[He can't summon the energy to get up just yet, just...give him a second.]
no subject
[Joining Marlin today is none other than Kai, out with his scorbunny running circles around his legs. The petalil could get close to them, but scorbunny stops short in front of Kai to get a look at the little bulb pokemon and starts-- trying to run circles around it, instead.
Amused, Kai simply looks over to Marlin and grins.]

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd - Fire Emblem: Three Houses
[You were probably just here to enjoy Goldenrod's National Park, whether to relax in a little sea of green nestled in the big city, or maybe even here for the bug catching context. You know, normal people things.]
[Just, watch out and maybe duck as an actual three foot fucking wasp is flung past you into a tree.]
[This Beedrill is Not having a good time, but it buzzes back up into the air with full rage. While whoever was unfortunately nearby gets to stare at this latest round of bullshit, the bushes nearby rustle.]
[Out steps a man missing an eye, clearly running on a very questionable amount of sleep, with a large rock he is absolutely using to threaten this giant murder wasp. Trying to push inbetween his legs is a tiny male Nidoran, a little beat up but still valiantly trying to be a part of this fight as he reaches out with one foot for a couple of little stomps.]
[Still in the bushes is the sound of a Tepig desperately squeaking and squealing as it tries to get involved because This Sure Is Happening. Dimitri doesn't pay it much mind, instead still focused on the Beedrill and.... oh, is that. a person nearby?? Hm.]
....You will want to move.
[He is going to punch a wasp in the face and the Goddess can't stop him.]
B - your man thinks caramelizing onions is putting caramel on them
[The place: literally any route with grass growing along it.]
[The scene: that same blond one eyed viking from earlier, crouched down, gesturing angrily at something vaguely like a dandelion, while a small fire pig frowns at him.]
They are edible. All things in nature are capable of being eaten, and I have eaten similar plants in Faerghus-
[His Tepig makes a small upset noise. Dimitri can absolutely Not understand him, but he still glowers as if he were told off in any sort of human language.]
You eat them.
[Tepig makes a small couple of smacks against the grass with his hoof, before he realizes someone is nearby. He makes a couple of squeals, trying to get their attention.]
[Listen, a third party is clearly needed to convince Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd to not eat fucking grass.]
C - might fuck around and let nature reclaim me
[It's pouring. There's the light of a Pokecenter just down the road. Ideally, one would be sprinting as fast as possible in that direction. However, perhaps in that attempt at sprinting, and with the downpour as heavy as it is, one almost - or definitely - runs into Dimitri, hunched over as he slowly walks... almost like he's in pain.]
[Or maybe you just stumble across this hot mess. Who knows.]
[Dimitri isn't in pain, is the good news, and he's not injured. What he's doing is using as much as his body and his enormous blue cloak (fur included, unfortunately for him) to shield the Tepig he's holding close to his chest.]
[Whoever is near him - apparently running into him doesn't seem to bother Dimitri much or even budge him - gets a narrow eyed glare.]
....Where would one purchase those - coverings for the rain?
[He's talking about raincoats, although he wouldn't be opposed to umbrellas either.]
c!!
Stupid, feral child.
At her feet, a Stufful plods about, and makes pleased yips as it collapses into the dirt and rolls around. Noa smiles, faintly, and kicks a little more mud over it. Though she lacks proper coverings for the weather, she wears a dark-colored cloak too many sizes too big for her over the rest of her outfit—the dress she hikes the skirt of up as she dirties it and the rest of her, the other capes and layers covering her right arm.
The expression fades at the stranger's approach, pursing into the curious, unfocused sort of look she always wears. It's because he looks half-dead, almost, that she takes one curious step forward, then backs it right up (splish goes the mud) as he approaches her. She watches the pig in his arms instead of his face.
Of course, the problem is, Noa obviously doesn't give a shit about getting wet herself, and therefore has absolutely no need for an umbrella nor a proper raincoat. Still...
She extends both her arms—it's hard to hear the soft grinding of metal and gears over the rain, but it's there. After a beat of the silent impolite realization that you can't just grabby hands at things and hope your plans are clear, she says,] Let me see it.
[The very muddy Stufful keeps yipping from down at Noa's feet, though what exactly it wants here isn't clear at all.]
